Latest chapter:She who was once the Black Queen.
The Uniscourge. A name that strikes terror into the heart of hero and Villain alike. Be they the most idealistic of Noblesse or the most heinous of criminals. Aria''''s story however is not as simple as it might seem. The Uniscourge was once called Aria Regina Lysandre or Spinneret, a plucky young hero who grew up a commoner under the protection of the heroes known as Noblesse. She thought them noble, kind and strong. When she became one herself, awakened at a tender age with body parts slowly growing from various pest-like creatures, she was thrilled to do her duty. Or she would have been if she ever got to. Instead some time after she turned 17 she transformed. Turns out all those extra body parts were growing in for a reason. One night she went to bed with only an antennae and a few fangs to show off her inhuman nature yet the next morning she was a monster. A spider-like entity with far too many legs and even more eyes. Worse than that though, she was Hive queen of the Uniscourge, a unique swarm of creatures that grew at her whims and came from eggs she had to personally lay on the ground. At first Aria was disgusted. Both with herself and the swarm. She didn''''t want to become one of the calamities that roamed the world, capable of destroying cities and striking fear into the hearts of commoners everywhere. They were what her mother had scared her to sleep at night with. They were the ones the Noblesse were supposed to fight. Except... The Noblesse weren''''t so noble after all. A certain individual added to her swarm sheds light on what truly hides beneath the surface of the Noblesse and their holier than thou attitude. The commoners might see them as deities but do the Noblesse believe the same? Above the petty mortal concerns of the commoners and perfectly within their rights to take anything they want whenever they want. Suddenly the heroic, noble protectors who administered the lands around the world became oppressors. They kept the common people docile. Doing so through fear that the calamities would one day attack them and the Noblesse would not be around to fight them off. Suddenly Aria didn''''t want their protection and thankfully she didn''''t need it any more. Well if no one else was doing the job she decided she''''d be the protector instead. All under her swarm would receive her protection. Yet she found the strange urge to nest, conquer and use her drones like disposable tools an obstacle to that goal. It turned out becoming a monster came with monstrous instincts too. Would she become even worse than the oppressive Noblesse she was fighting so hard against? Worried about the possibility but believing herself a rational enough individual to retain her mind, Aria will fight the noble heroes and despicable villains alike to protect those under her swarm. They''''ll be converted into something more useful if her new instincts had their way. Maybe that wasn''''t such a bad thing? A fun superhero romp where the protagonist IS the calamity the heroes prepare to fight against. She''''s not entirely evil though or at least she tries not to be. As an amalgamation of all the pests in the world Aria is smart enough to know she can''''t be a hero. But maybe being a hero isn''''t all it''''s cracked up to be. Instead she''''s the terror that tears down their cities, a swarm in her wake to build everything anew. If the system fails her again though, she might just decide to give in to those pesky instincts that constantly nag her to conquer the world. It would probably be better that way if even she lost hope.
