The story follows a young boy named kang muhan, wich gets teleported into a structure called the tower with the rest of seoul and other parts of the world in an unexpected event wich is called "The draft". In the tower he gains abilities and grows in strenght to climb the tower. Along the way he faces multiple major events and near death experiences only to reach the top. On wich he learns the truth of the world and that the tower is not nearly climbed. He continues to climb the tower while fighting the 7 sins and other major deities to finally ascent at the end of his long journey. He creates a living space for humans to not be constantly in danger from the attacks of demons and other beings while fending off the beings that cannot be killed from ever causing harm again.
