Riku Shiroyoku, a seemingly ordinary high school student, has always been able to see the dead and the supernatural creatures that haunt them. But this power is a curse as well as a blessing. Tiangou represents the sins of Pride, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, and Wrath. Each transformation Riku undergoes reflects one of these sins: when he becomes a Soul Reaper, he embodies Pride; his Quincy form becomes Greed; his Hollow transformation reveals Envy; and his Fullbringer abilities manifest as Wrath. As Riku navigates a dangerous world of spirits and monsters, he must control the overwhelming hunger of Tiangou and face the consequences of his growing powers. Each soul he consumes brings him closer to losing his humanity, forcing Riku to question whether he can master his abilities or if he’ll succumb to the sins that drive him.
