When Arin makes a sacrifice to save a stranger, things go very, very wrong. After being killed defending another, she gets a glimpse of a strange, low-res afterlife and the decision to go back, with some stipulations. Back to life and with strange powers, Arin decides to track down a gang of masked thieves. The Strays, a found family of disaffected Americans, rob banks, scattering the hoarded wealth to those that need it as a modern day merry band of thieves.
