Due to terrorist attacks on AI-controlled industrial sites, the Human Rights Council approved cloning technology. Clones, far cheaper than unemployed citizens, were meant to replace damaged machines and keep production running. However, the technology failed to meet expectations: their lifespan proved too short, and working in extreme conditions drastically reduced it even further. Each faction exploits the vulnerabilities of the others to expand its influence. Continuous terrorist and cyberattacks increase the likelihood of a critical event. As a result, the Western Bloc has entered a cold war with the Communist Bloc. The Neutrals remain independent but interact with both sides. While the Western and Communist Blocs teeter on the brink of World War III, and the Neutrals struggle desperately for survival, Lumen Corporation seeks salvation.
