The desire to preserve peace in a society can lead to stagnation when taken to excess, and not all destruction is a bad thing. Our hero, Nayok, is born into the lowest caste of human society and over the course of this tale he will upend the established social order as he rises in power. He will eventually discover an extraordinary and yet self-contradictory purpose - he must protect the world for the purpose of destroying it. Along the way he will make friends and enemies - great and small, mortal and divine. He will love, lose, hate, win and in the end find peace. Well, hopefully that is, since I actually haven''''t fully decided all of this yet. But that seems like a logical enough conclusion and at this point this introduction is getting a little pompous.
