When their savings run out one month into their Australian backpacking adventure, Scottish backpackers Molly and Erin take the bus to Northern Queensland hoping to find work on a banana farm. Holed up in a shabby hotel and feeling sorry for themselves, they begin to feel they have made a mistake, but their fortunes change when they are befriended by the easy-going Dale and his friends who convince them to stay. With a Cyclone on its way, they plan to hike Mount Sully and return in time to seek shelter, but their plan goes awry when they are attacked by a cassowary on their back down. Now they must seek shelter on the mountain amid the destruction and death caused by the roaming cassowaries.
