Man, I am beat. One minute I''''m on the subway, just trying to finish a chapter of a novel. Next thing, some weirdo starts chatting me up. Knew my name, said something about "enjoying my story." Creepy, right? Then, poof. Get off at my stop, world does this weird blink, and suddenly I''''m not on Park Street. Suddenly, I''''m wearing old, scratchy green clothes that aren''''t mine, boots that feel like lead, and a rifle slung over my shoulder. Dog tag with my name on it, even. All I wanted was to read about Alice''''s latest adventure. Now… now I think I''''m in one. And it’s not the mirror mansion from the start of the story. This place is… different. Grittier. Like something out of that "Eternal War" game they mentioned later on, with Peter Pan. Pretty sure my "story" just got a really unwelcome, very exhausting, plot twist. Just… great.
