A resource that could serve as a catalyst for supernatural occurrences to happen, it allowed people to gain powers such as superhuman strength and depending on the person''''s resonance with Asterium, can even perform acts of magic. With technological advancements and research, the resource was processed and was turned into weapons of terror, to the point that the nations had decided it to be too dangerous for war and was thereby banned. Of course, they couldn’t pass up on the prospect of having this resource used for advancements, they decided that the resource was developed in a neutral area where researchers could study it even more while cultivating the talents of the people who could use them. And so, Academy city was born.
