The sun’s radiance provided warmth for that bud. She was birthed from my soil, yet her fate was not to be with me. I can still see it-- though the envious waters had tried to cloud my sight-- her pale limbs tinged with pink could not escape from my vision. Even though I had raised her and her sisters with the nutrients from my body, this beauty was one whom none could compare to.
