Chapter 199: What you know is not the whole truth

In a daze, Mo Wei's body was like a boat on the waves, one wave after another crashing against her, almost shattering her bones!

She had so many dreams, so many many

There are good things, bad things, happy things, and sad things. Some dreams are so real that the pain is almost unbearable, as if her entire heart has been tightly clenched, leaving her with a deep sense of suffocation!

In the initial dream, there was a girl covered in bruises, who was ruthlessly kicked out of the house by her drunken and abusive father!

The girl was very hungry, she had not eaten all day.

She merely asked her father for 50 cents to buy a pencil and was met with his endless scolding and vicious beating!

That man who raised her used extremely coarse language to constantly humiliate her, scolding her as a cheap woman, a prostitute, and a born loser. He even kept cursing her, asking why she didn't just die?!

The girl was homeless, wandering the streets on a cold night. She wore thin clothes and her face turned red from the chill. She huddled in a corner of the street, shivering with fear. The biting wind temporarily numbed the pain of the beating she had endured, but the pangs of hunger were growing stronger by the minute!

She hugged her knees and buried her head deeply, thinking that if she fell asleep, she wouldn't be hungry.

However, as time slowly passed, the cold wind grew colder. She didn't fall asleep but instead developed a high fever. She felt miserable and began to fear that she would die like this. Tears finally couldn't help but fall down, streaming down her face.

But she didn't dare cry out loud, and could only tremble her shoulders and sob quietly.

Because in the past, as soon as she made a sound while crying, she would be subjected to an even more brutal beating.

  Suddenly

As she sank into her deepest despair, a young man walked up to her, took off his coat and gently wrapped it around her shoulders, tightly wrapping her frail body.

The clothes still carried a faint warmth of body heat, so warm, as if the sun had shone on her.

The man slowly leaned forward, his voice so gentle.

"Are you sick? I'll take you to the hospital, okay?"

She lifted her tearful eyes and looked at his warm smile, nodding gently.

  In the first dream.

The girl is her, and that young and gentle man is Mr. Sang.

The scene in the dream suddenly switched to a very chaotic scene, where a serious traffic accident occurred on the highway. A sports car suddenly rushed out of the green belt and rolled over onto the road!

This triggered a chain reaction of countless cars rear-ending each other, instantly paralyzing traffic on the road!

The first car in the rear-end collision was Mr. Sang's car.

That day she went for a stroll in the park, on her way back she happened to meet Teacher Sang, because they lived very close by, so Teacher Sang gave her a ride home, but didn't expect to encounter such an accident!

Fortunately, Mr. Sang braked in time and slightly deviated from the direction, so although the car crashed, it was not particularly serious.

Instead, that sports car and some other vehicles were even more badly damaged, with some even catching fire. The situation at the scene suddenly became very dangerous!

Afraid that the car would explode, amidst a cacophony of wails, Mr. Sang did not immediately hide, but instead searched every vehicle with all his might, racing against time to rescue those inside!

She followed behind Mr. Sang to help, and after great effort, they finally pulled out the three people in the sports car. One of them was seriously injured, hitting his head, with blood all over his face, looking very frightening!

Afraid he would bleed too much and die, she immediately took off the silk scarf from her neck to bandage his head wound.

In the midst of dizziness, the other person seemed to have woken up for a moment.

She held his hand tightly and kept shouting in his ear, telling him to stay awake, whatever he did.

After a while, an ambulance and police car finally arrived.

Mr. Sang carried a person who was unconscious towards the ambulance, when suddenly a car exploded, and all the cars connected together caught fire, the rapidly spreading sea of flames swallowed Mr. Sang's figure in an instant, he never managed to walk out from that blast of flames again.

A few days later, when she was still immersed in the pain of losing Mr. Sang, a rumor suddenly swept across the entire school!

Everyone says that Mr. Sang is the driver who caused the accident, and he even killed a young master of a wealthy family. The newspapers all reported it in the same way, and some people even mocked and ridiculed Mr. Sang for his unscrupulous behavior, saying that on weekends he would take female students out to develop romantic relationships with them, leading to extramarital affairs, and then drive drunk, causing a major traffic accident that killed someone!

That was her first time knowing the horror and enormous destructive power of rumors!

Mr. Sang was a man of noble character and great artistic talent before his death, but after his death, he was unjustly saddled with countless insults that did not belong to him, resulting in the loss of his reputation.

Even the wife of Mr. Sang rushed to the school, stimulated by the rumors, and loudly scolded her in front of her classmates, grabbing her hair and banging her head against the wall, calling her a slut and a fox spirit, all because she had seduced Mr. Sang and caused his death!

Because of this matter, she was expelled from school and kicked out of her home by her parents!

"It's her! She didn't study well when she was young, all she knew was how to mess around with teachers!"

"Look at her, she's grown into a sly and seductive thing, you can tell she's not a good person. Women like this are born to be troublemakers, they're destined to harm people!"

"How can she still have the face to live in this world after ruining a good family and causing them to break up?!"

"Vixen! She's the one who killed Mr. Sang!"

"Why doesn't she just die already?!"

"Get out! Get as far away from me as you can! You've disgraced your old man's face to the point where it's been utterly humiliated! I don't have a daughter like you who brings shame and embarrassment!"

Once again, she was left wandering the streets, homeless.

She even became a street rat that everyone shouted and beat, entangled by local hooligans several times. If it weren't for Sang Xia believing in her, protecting her, and relying on each other for survival, she would have been raped and abused countless times!

Perhaps, on one of those winter days, she too, like Sangxia's mother, could not bear the unbearable rumors from all sides and jumped off the high building with her eyes closed!

Now she is with the one who ruined Mr. Sang's family and almost destroyed her whole life.

She even gave birth to two children for him.

How can she accept such a cruel reality?

How could she pretend as if nothing had happened and continue to stay by Huo Tingchen's side with a clear conscience?

  In the ward.

Huò Tīng Chēn stood guard by the bed, watching as the woman was extremely restless and deeply trapped in a nightmare, shouting "Sāng Lǎo Shī" (Teacher Sang) repeatedly, tears streaming from her eyes and soaking the hair at her temples.

He gently stroked the pale face of the woman, his eyes filled with a deep sorrow.

"Even if I told you what you don't know, and it's not the whole truth, would you believe me?"

He finally recovered the memory he lost in that car accident, but it was too late to explain.

Suddenly, the door of the ward was pushed open.

Lu Ming wore a white coat and walked quickly with a test sheet!

"Hao shaoye, jiancha jieguo chulai le!"

Translation: "Hao Shaoye, the test results are out!"
