Chapter 211: Sophias Tears

The war was over and many British soldiers were gradually returning home. When they arrived at the port of Southampton, they saw many soldiers in uniform paddling ashore.

These people had no rifles, only carrying their own luggage, one by one walking off the boat in a daze. Some of them burst into tears as soon as they stepped onto their homeland, but it was unclear whether they were crying from joy at being alive or sorrow for fallen comrades.

Muyang saw these surviving soldiers and thought of his own comrades, wondering how they were doing after he left.

Captain Claire Chennault, Lieutenant Calvin Holt, Lieutenant Chuck Older, Ensign Robert B. Ford, Wang Kaihua, and his own communications officer, Ford.

And then there was that pretty little nurse, Lena Field, who had given him some lovely memories.

Mu Yang unconsciously swept a glance over the crowd of soldiers, but didn't see a single familiar face. He knew that this possibility was too small.

"Andour, take this down and send a telegram to the West Yorkshire Regiment, tell them to pass it on to Captain Clair Treely, say that I need assistance here, if the war is over and our second battalion has no good place to go, let him bring people here to work."

I'll write it down at once and send it off as soon as I get back to London.

Back in London, Mu Yang didn't have a chance to rest. The news that he had become the Duke of Spain had spread throughout all of Britain and even the entire European noble world.

To know that the birth of a grand duke means the birth of a heavyweight family, historically, many of today's powerful countries were once small duchies that developed into world powers, including Britain, France and Germany, all of which emerged from the Roman Empire.

That is already an untraceable history, but history was created by people.

Muyang's rapid rise is absolutely breathtaking, from a second son who couldn't get a noble title in his family to becoming the Duke of Spain, Baron of England, a wealthy man with vast assets, a scholar with knowledge and status, and most importantly, still single.

Various parties invite Mu Yang to attend, and then various women appear in front of Mu Yang. Now people are flocking to Mu Yang, all wanting to sell their daughters to him, hoping to climb up to this newly emerged powerful and wealthy figure.

In Countess Sofia's villa, maid Angela exits the room and sits down in a chair beside it, waiting for her mistress to summon her.

At first, faint gasps for breath could be heard coming from the room, but later the sounds grew louder and more uninhibited, sometimes accompanied by a sharp cry or two from the woman of the house. Angela's face turned bright red with embarrassment, even though she had been with men before, hearing such sounds still made her react.

The woman's screams and the man's heavy gasps floated out through the gap in the door, impossible to avoid, yet she didn't dare leave on her own.

Her mistress was also quite pitiful, marrying an old earl at a young age, but the old earl passed away in less than two years. The title was passed down to his son, and her mistress only had this house and some worthless land left.

The current days of the Earl's estate are not going well. Inheriting the legacy of the old earl has cost the lady all her own money, and there is still a portion of taxes that have not been paid off. If they are not paid soon, those detestable tax officials may really come to seal off this villa, and at that time, she will probably lose even this maid's job.

"Heavens, heavens, Joseph, you're too strong..."

The two of them were still rolling around, their movements so vigorous that the sturdy wooden bed seemed on the verge of collapse. It was a long time before they finally stopped, and by then the sheets were soaked with sweat.

Leaning on the man's chest, enjoying the beautiful aftertaste.

"Joseph, my niece Aliya, 16 years old this year, is the eldest daughter of the Earl of Wilcotts family, my brother's daughter, the most beautiful flower in England." Sophia said.

Muyang didn't open his eyes and listened quietly.

"If you want to find a wife, Aria is a good candidate, I can help you set up a blind date or call Aria over for you to take a look."

"Thank you, Sophia, but not for now." Mu Yang said with his eyes closed, his tone was light, but his attitude was firm and unyielding, making Sophia dare not speak again.

"Angela, help us prepare hot water." Sophia shouted towards the outside of the door.

"Alright, ma'am." Angela replied and went off to prepare.

The two returned from their bath, Angela had already changed into new sheets, and Mu Yang held Sophia's perfectly ripe body, sleeping comfortably.

In the morning, sunlight shone onto the bed, Sophia blinked her long eyelashes and opened her eyes to look for Mu Yang's figure, but found that the man had already left.

Sophia got out of bed, her nightgown sliding down her body to the floor.

She ran a hand through her hair and called out, "Angela, come here and help me."

Sophia got up and unintentionally saw something on her dresser, a piece of paper, about the size of a palm.

Is that the note left by the man for himself?

After Sophia picked up the paper, she was stunned to find that it was a check with an amount of 200,000 pounds written on it.

Sophia's hands holding the check were trembling, and tears fell from her eyes. She knew that this was how she was positioned in Joseph's heart.

She had also fantasized about whether she could get Joseph, but she knew it was impossible. The current Williams family would not marry a widow.

The first time he was with Mu Yang, he had just become a baron. He himself had not had the opportunity yet, but Joseph, who was already a grand duke, had absolutely no chance. This check was also Mu Yang's answer to him.

Her position is at most a mistress, a mistress who can come and go as Joseph pleases.

Angela walked into the room and saw her mistress silently shedding tears. Her mistress wasn't easy either, all for the sake of living.

Moyang recently found something for himself, which is collecting virus samples of the Spanish flu, and many things were bought from modern times.

Muyang extracted blood from the patient on the third and fourth days of illness, separated the serum, stored it in a storage tube, and then packed it in a storage box.

Next step should be put in low temperature - 70 degrees place for refrigeration, but now where has that kind of place, however, Muyang has a better place, which is system space.

The system space has no air and no time flow rate, it is the best place to store things, of course, excluding living things.

Muyang knew that this virus would disappear completely after the outbreak in 1919, and many people in later generations wanted to study this virus, but they couldn't find any virus samples.

Although Mu Yang didn't know what use this thing had, since others wanted to get it, it might not be useless. He'd better keep some for himself first.

Anyway, it was easiest for Muyang to do this. He had his assistant get about 200 doses of viral serum from the hospital and labeled them, storing them in boxes in space.

While he was busy, Carter told him that a Captain Claire Treveryan had come to see him.
