Within the darkness, there was a man floating aimlessly. He couldn't see nor could he hear, breath, talk, or even think. He was nothing. This was nothing. This was death.
But a single voice was able to break through the nothingness. The voice of a woman. Her voice was soft and strong enough to pierce through death. The women simply said “who are you? tell me your story”
These words partially woke the man up. He could think, hear, and speak again but he still could not see or move. The man, feeling an irresistible urge to answer said. “My name? It's… k-kade?” when he spoke, he sounded unsure as if he didnt know his own name. As he spoke, the women noticed the life coming back to his voice.

kade claims to have been a highschooler in New York thirty years ago. He says he was sitting in class one day when suddenly, all of his classmates disappeared.
The sky turned dark as if the sun disappeared. All the lights in the room turned off except for one above the teacher. The teacher stood there motionlessly facing the white board.
Kade instantly jumped up from his seat and sprinted for the door. As he reached the door, an indescribably horrific sound rang in his ears, dropping him to the ground before he could take a single step outside.
When his knees hit the ground the sound stopped but the damage had been done. He felt a warm liquid drip from ears. He grasped his ears that were still ringing and began to writhe on the floor uncontrollably.
Suddenly, he felt a presence behind him. He turned over and was met with his teacher's face inches away from his own. Her face was completely smooth and pale with 2 seemingly endless holes where her eyes should be. When his eyes met hers 2 completely black arms reached out, gouging his eyes out.
“AAAAAAAAAGH” Kade screamed as he grasped his eyes with his left hand. When he did, his hand disappeared, consumed by the void where his eyes should be. He instinctively crawled out the door but the horrific sound returned. He tried his best and endured the sound because he knew that if he didnt he was going to die.
When he was around 6 meters from the door, the sound stopped. Kade quickly caught his breath before sprinting through the halls. He ran until the floor beneath him disappeared. He fell down a long flight of stairs for what seemed like forever. When he finally hit the ground, his back was against the wall. He tries to get back up and continue running when he feels a pain in his leg. It's broken.
As he lays there, the ringing lessings and he hears the sound of his teacher creeping closer. With nothing but the sound of footsteps echoing through the halls, Kade begins to accept his fate.
Kade sits there quietly awaiting death when a warm light embraces him. The light's warm embrace changes something within him. All of his thoughts disappeared, replaced by an overwhelming desire to survive.
His mind began working overtime, thinking of every possible way to survive. But, before he could come up with a foolproof plan, he heard the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs. As the steps got closer, he knew there was only one thing he could do.
So, when his teacher was close to arms reach, he began to randomly flail his arm in front of him. He knew it wasn't the most graceful plan and was likely to fail, but if it could increase his chances of survival by even 1%, then he had to try it.
By what could only be described as a miracle, he felt his arm connect with something. After this, Kade froze. After about three seconds of nothing, he heard the sound of a loud clock ticking followed quickly by another. The interval between the ticks slowly decreased until they rang out simultaneously. At this moment, the floor beneath him changed to grass and the wall supporting his back disappeared.

The women frowned. ‘Students disappearing? Teachers with blackholes for eyes? And the strangest of all, the sun disappearing. This is unlike anything I've ever seen before’, thought the women. ‘He would never let that happen. A third party has to be involved. ’
Kade sat there silently as the women mumbled on and on. When she finally finished, she called out to a man she called “Than”. Followed by bells tolling in the distance. Once the bells stopped, Kade could hear the voice of a man who he assumed to be Than speaking to the women.
The women hurriedly explained Kade's story to Than. Once she finished the explanation, they continued their conversation in a language Kade didn't understand. After their conversation, the women turned to Kade and said “continue”

Kade sat there facing the sky still full of adrenaline with his mind racing and his heart pumping, trying in vain to calm down. Kade knew he was most likely safe now but there was still so much he didn't know. He didn't know where he was, how he got here or what happened in the school. On top of that, he had to deal with his newly lost hand and eyesight.
He sat there in shock as hunger slowly set in. Once the pain of hunger became unbearable, he slowly stood up and began to wander around looking for anything to eat. He wandered around bumping into trees, tripping over rocks, and running into bushes. He wandered aimlessly for days on end. He used the temperature to get a rough estimate of the time. Once the sun stopped beaming on his neck, he knew it was night.
He was able to eat grass to satiate his hunger but he knew it wasn't a viable long term food source. He needed to find some actual food and water. He hasn't drank anything since he arrived here 3 days ago. The dehydration was getting to him. He knew that if he didn't drink anything soon he would die.
He felt his body begin to shut down. At this point, it was taking everything he had just to stand. After falling for the umpteenth time, he noticed that his fall didn't make a sound. In fact, he hadn't heard anything or encountered any animals at all. Once this realization set in, he attempted to stand again but fell to his knees again.
It was at this time, when Kade was five feet in the grave, that he heard a sound. The first sound that he's heard in three days. It was the rustling of leaves around 4 meters away followed quickly by a bellowing growl. Kade's head shot up. At first he was just glad he wasn't deaf too but, as the sound got closer he realized he was in danger. He didn't have enough strength to even crawl away let alone stand and run.
Just when everything seemed hopeless, Kade heard footsteps followed by silence. He then felt a scorching heat. He heard an ear piercing roar. Then a loud boom. Then nothing.
After a minute, a voice broke the silence “are you okay” was the last thing he heard before passing out.
After awakening, Kade found out that he was no longer on earth. He was in the era's cathedral in a world called ashmere. It was a world almost exactly like ours but, the world was full of magic.
Once Kade found out that the one who saved him was Eeon, a cardinal from the holy era's church of knowledge of the esai faith. At the time, the church was fighting a holy war with the tani church. After fully processing the situation, he decided to join the church in order to repay Eeon for saving him.
As time went on, kade became one of the three cardinals. It was with his and the other cardinals' power that they won the war against the tani. At this point in time, the esai faith was the only religion in all of ashmere.
One night as Kade was resting in the cathedral, he felt a familiar presence approaching him from behind. As he turnt to greet them, he felt all his senses disappear. Then there was nothing.

Once the man finished his story, there was nothing but silence. After a moment, the women finally broke the silence. “Travel to another world? That's completely unheard of” “i don't think any of the gods here are capable of that…” than added
At this time, the women, and Thanatos both knew that this was a huge threat. Whatever being that has the ability to move people between worlds freely could have power that exceeds that of all the Greek gods combined. And the fact that they completely wiped out a religion means they likely aren't friendly.
Than thought for a second before he spoke “ the being responsible for this is likely planning an invasion. We must warn the other gods.” “ Right,” the woman responded instantly. “I'll go to Olympus and warn them. You go to the underworld and warn hades” she commanded
As they began to fade away, Kade too felt his consciousness fading. “Wait, what will happen to me?” said Kade as he fought to stay awake. Than stopped for a moment to think “don't worry we’ll handle this. You'll just go back to your normal life like nothing ever happened. You'll have no memory of any of this.”
"Well, can i atleast know your names?” the woman stopped and casually said ”im artemis. And that's thanatos” before they both disappeared. Not long after, Kades consciousness completely faded.
