Everyone was busy at Endeavor's agency. The heroes had their hands full after a UA student, Katsuki Bakugo, was kidnapped during a training camp by a group of vilins. Among those called to help was Endeavor, one of the top heroes.
Aldon sat at his desk, poring over files on the vilins they were up against. The police had done a thorough job uncovering the identities of most members of the League of Vilins.
“Toga Himiko…” Aldon muttered to himself as he sent a message to Hawks about the upcoming mission—despite knowing he shouldn’t, since Hawks wasn’t officially involved.
Aldon set his phone down just in time as his boss walked in. "Kid, the pn’s changed for you," Endeavor announced, immediately capturing Aldon’s full attention. "You’re going in with Kamui Woods, right after All Might," Endeavor added.
“But wasn’t I supposed to stay outside with the police?” Aldon asked calmly.
“If you’d checked the files closely, you’d know from the Css 1-A homeroom teacher’s report that there’s a vilin with a fire quirk in there. I’m sure you understand,” Endeavor replied, looking down at Aldon, who nodded quickly.
“I’ll manage the fmes and keep them from spreading—especially near Kamui Woods,” Aldon confirmed, earning a satisfied hum and a pat on the head from his boss. "Exactly."
The night of the rescue mission arrived quickly, and both pns were going smoothly. Aldon waited for his signal with the police outside the League of Vilins’ hideout, nerves prickling as he thought about the kid’s safety on the line. Once All Might charged in, with Kamui Woods following through the hole in the wall, Aldon sprang into action. Fmes erupted from his back, forming into wings as he unched himself upward with a single powerful fp. He nded safely beside Kamui, and his fmes dissolved.
“A tree? What the heck?” a rough voice sounded nearby. Aldon’s head snapped toward the source, where he heard fmes ignite. But the sight before him froze him in pce. His eyes widened as he took in the blue eyes and blue fmes. “To—” he began, only to be interrupted as Gran Torino zipped past him, knocking the vilin out.
“What the hell are you doing, kid?! Pay attention next time! Are you a rookie?” the elder scolded, snapping Aldon out of his trance. “I—I’m sorry... I... I don’t know what happened... I just…” Aldon looked down at his hands as though they held the answer, then turned his gaze back to the unconscious vilin. “Froze…” he whispered.
Aldon was unable to look away from the figure on the ground. While his teammates likely thought he was simply keeping watch in case the vilin woke up, for Aldon, it was different. His mind was a storm of chaos, his emotions tangled and conflicted.
Was it him? But… he died, didn’t he? They never found his body, only his jawbone. It can’t be him… But those fmes…
Aldon wrestled with his thoughts, caught in an inner monologue. His mind raced until a series of strange sludge portals began appearing, allowing the vilins to escape. Panic rippled through the heroes as Nomus started appearing outside the hideout. Without hesitation, Aldon leapt down to assist the police in the fight.
“Firefly!” Endeavor shouted, unching a powerful bst of fmes toward his sidekick. Aldon raised his hands, absorbing the fire into his skin over the course of a few seconds, feeling the warmth seep through him. “Got it, boss!” he replied, letting fmes surge from his hands to form his signature Fire Fists.
He charged at the nearest Nomu, aiming a powerful, fme-infused punch at its head, assuming it was a potential weak spot. Fire began to crawl over the creature, but the Nomu’s durability was evident. It screamed, raising its arms in rage. “Damn it,” Aldon muttered, slipping between its legs to maneuver behind it. He leapt onto its back and, in an instant, conjured Fming Chains, wrapping them tightly around the Nomu’s neck and setting its head abze once more.
Aldon held on as if riding a bull, finally releasing his grip only when he was certain the Nomu had been defeated.
After the Kamino incidentIt took Aldon a few days to complete his reports and expin his failure to Endeavor, who was far from pleased. Endeavor reminded him why he had taken him in as a sidekick, emphasizing his expectation that Aldon give his all in every mission—no more failures.
Each time Aldon returned home, his mind spiraled into memories. Images of his childhood with Touya collided with visions of Dabi, the vilin he had seen that night. Could they really be the same person? But how—what happened, and how had he survived? These questions haunted Aldon, robbing him of sleep. He needed answers. Now.
One night, unable to bear it any longer, Aldon decided to confront Dabi. It was reckless, maybe even stupid, but he had no choice. Dressed in dark jeans, a hoodie to conceal his hair, and a face mask for anonymity, he ventured into the shadowy districts around Kamino, determined to track down the elusive vilin. He had no clear leads, as the League of Vilins had gone into hiding, but rumors of Dabi’s fiery aftermaths lingered—charred bodies left behind in back alleys. Aldon began asking around, speaking to unsavory characters in bars and on the streets, hoping someone knew something. In his mind, there were only two possible outcomes: either someone had information, or word would spread, and Dabi would come looking for him. After all, what vilin would tolerate someone sniffing around to find him?
As it turned out, word did indeed reach Dabi himself. He had just finished "disposing" of yet another worthless recruit for the League. “A hero looking for me, huh?” he scoffed, giving the burnt corpse a disdainful kick. He smirked as he considered his next move. “Guess I should give him a warm welcome,” he muttered before heading into the darkness of the deserted streets. His pn was simple: lure the hero out and make himself just visible enough to lead Aldon into a trap.
Aldon was nearly ready to give up. He’d been searching for hours, and midnight was approaching when he caught a glimpse of a figure with scars and spiky bck hair walking past him. He turned to double-check—scars, dark hair, long coat—yes, it was him. Aldon took a deep breath. “This is it,” he whispered, beginning to follow Dabi. Exactly as the vilin intended.
They walked for several minutes, the streets gradually emptying of people as Dabi led Aldon deeper into a deserted part of the city.
Aldon’s senses were on high alert as Dabi turned a corner into an alley. He knew Dabi was aware of him; this was a setup. Clenching his fists, Aldon cautiously turned the corner, only to find… nothing. The alley was empty—until a mocking chuckle echoed from the shadows.
“No one ever told you not to py with fire, hero?” Dabi’s voice rang out, cold and taunting. Before Aldon could react, a massive bst of blue fmes erupted from the darkness, rushing straight toward him.
