Chapter 32: The Radiant Shadow

Richard subconsciously moved closer to her, each step like treading within the most vivid dream, the bands of light seemingly close enough to brush his face. He reached out to touch the dancing layers of blue, but his fingers passed through the brilliant azure, touching her body directly. A force like legendary magic exploded where fingertip met skin, causing both Richard and Helen Su to shudder involuntarily.

Awestruck by the beautiful and mysterious Deepblue Aria, before Richard could even articulate, or even perceive, the sensation of the moment, he suddenly felt that boiling bloodline surge from the deepest part of his body. It came with unprecedented ferocity, utterly uncontrollable, once again overwhelming his already stalled consciousness. His hand, guided by male instinct, involuntarily probed further, sliding up the Legendary Mage's smooth thigh.

Richard felt as if he had suddenly ignited a volcano! With a roar, Helen Su erupted like a lit torch, blue flames spewing from her entire being. The mysterious patterns on her skin deepened, eventually turning into a bottomless azure. Gritting her teeth, she lifted Richard up, immense and abundant mana surging into his body. An elemental storm began to erupt around him as well. Within the fierce tempest, all of Richard's clothes were shredded into fragments, then blasted into flying ash!

With a thud, Richard was thrown naked onto the floor. The ground was extremely hard, the impact incredibly heavy, yet the mana Helen Su had poured into him still coursed through every cell in his body; he felt no pain at all. However, the violent shock still numbed his limbs, making it impossible for him to get up immediately.

Even the Legendary Mage's mana couldn't suppress the utterly frenzied bloodline within Richard. He lay on his back, the proof of his manhood stabbing towards the sky, pointing directly at Helen Su.

"Damn it!" Helen Su practically squeezed the words through her teeth. She suddenly traversed ten meters horizontally, appearing above Richard, then dropped straight down. The blue ribbons of light she trailed in the air formed enormous wings of light that nearly covered half the space, radiantly brilliant, refusing to dissipate easily.

Richard's body instinctively arched upwards, welcoming the dazzling, mesmerizing temptation, a hoarse, beast-like roar escaping his throat. He felt a part of his body suddenly plunge into a mysterious region—scorching hot, moist, and powerfully strong. Every forceful contraction of that region bombarded his nerves with crushing impact, making him want to roar uncontrollably. He instinctively fought back, hands climbing her thighs, gripping tightly, striving with all his might to bury his most sensitive part deeper, ever deeper!

The Legendary Mage's small eyebrows first furrowed tightly, then gradually relaxed, and finally, slowly arched upwards!

On the Night of Fate, within a deep blue dreamscape, the boy became a man. As the seven crescent moons hung high simultaneously, dyeing the night in seven colors, the destinies of many also changed henceforth.

Even the most special days pass, and the Day of Fate was no exception. As the morning sun shone upon him, Richard gradually awoke, and a new day began.

He realized Helen Su hadn't left but was still sleeping soundly. In the dawn light, her body was flawless, seemingly glowing with an ivory luster. The two faint rosy points on her chest seemed to sense Richard's gaze and began to tremble slightly. On her body, the deep blue runes from last night were gone; everything that had happened felt truly like just an illusionary dream.

Everything was so beautiful, except for the slight awkwardness of their position.

Richard's body was curled up, head pillowed in Helen Su's arm, his hands and legs entwined around her, as if afraid she would escape, yet also clinging with insecure dependence. The Legendary Mage, however, lay sprawled on her back carelessly, her right arm around Richard, sleeping with utter contentment.

Morning was naturally the time when a man's vigor peaked. Gradually recalling last night's experience, and seeing the still-sleeping Helen Su, he could no longer restrain himself, his hand beginning to move stealthily. Richard's slight movement instantly woke the Legendary Mage. She first stretched lazily, then slapped away the errant hand moving on her body with a smack, before reluctantly opening her eyes. But she immediately felt uncomfortable, as something hot and hard pressed against her side, still moving. She instinctively reached out, grabbed, and twisted. Richard, beside her, immediately let out a muffled groan.

  Stolen novel; please report.

The Legendary Mage turned her head, her bright eyes fixed on Richard for a moment before some awareness gradually returned to their depths. Richard knew then that she was truly awake.

Seeing Richard lying beside her, Helen Su showed absolutely no surprise. Instead, she first covered her mouth, let out several large, comfortable yawns, and then stretched her body wantonly a few times. Richard kept groaning intermittently because as Helen Su moved carelessly, her right hand maintained its grip on his vital part. And the sight before him was so stunning it almost made him erupt again.

The Legendary Mage sat up, looked at Richard, and actually asked, "Want more?"

Richard's face flushed, but he nodded.

His body was at its peak vitality. While his wisdom, augmented by talent, progressed three years for every one, realistically, it was only at the maturity level of seventeen or eighteen. Having become a man for the first time, and having done so with a woman of Helen Su's unparalleled magnificence, of course, he would want more.

"How many times?" The Legendary Mage started smiling strangely again. The gentle, graceful woman from last night truly seemed like just an illusion.

Richard genuinely began to ponder seriously. He didn't yet know the limits of this body, but one thing was clear: no matter how many more times, it wouldn't be enough. He even felt he had boundless energy now, capable of charging continuously until the sun rose a second time! And his bloodline stirred restlessly, fully supporting Richard's wild fantasy, willing to be drained dry in one go.

"Three times, no... maybe five..." Richard hesitated.

Helen Su suddenly burst into loud laughter, her right hand moving fiercely several times, nearly pushing the already cliff-edge Richard over the brink. Then she stood up, waved her hand to summon fresh undergarments and a mage robe, began dressing herself nonchalantly, and said, "It's dawn. So... none at all!"

Immense disappointment... Richard remained silent, then also stood up. He saw a complete set of men's clothes laid out in a corner of the bedroom, clearly his size just by looking, and walked over to put them on.

After dressing, Richard felt much less awkward and apprehensive. Helen Su was no longer the woman who had driven him completely mad last night; the woman before him had reverted to her identity as the Legendary Mage, as flamboyant and natural as ever, as if nothing had happened. Richard, however, couldn't adjust immediately. The two vastly different Legendary Mages overlapped before his eyes, leaving him unable to distinguish whether last night or this morning was the dream.

Helen Su looked at Richard, then walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the magnificent sight of the sunrise slowly ascending from the Everwinter Mountains. She said slowly, "Do you have anything to say?"

Richard composed himself, forcing calmness, and asked, "Why? Also, what do you need me to do in the future?"

"Why?" The Legendary Mage laughed crisply, shrugged, and said, "Is there a 'why' to it? Simple! Sister was in a bad mood recently, so you got lucky! Simple as that! Hmm, hmm, if you absolutely must find a reason, then 'fresh and delicious' is reason enough!"

Seeing Richard's slightly greenish complexion, Helen Su couldn't help laughing even louder.

After finally finishing her laughter, she said, "Actually, if I'm being serious, there is a reason. It's sister's greatest hobby: leaving an indelible shadow in the hearts of those powerhouses who might change the history of the continent in the future. It's just that everyone is different, so the methods of striking blows and leaving psychological scars vary. And for you, after thinking it over, last night's method was the best—devouring you! From now on, every time you seek out a woman, you'll inevitably think of me, haha!"

The Legendary Mage's expression and tone were dead serious, leaving Richard speechless. Only after she finished laughing again did he repeat his second question: "Then what do you need me to do in the future?" He specifically emphasized the word "future."

"The future... the future..." Helen Su suddenly grew somber. She sighed, extended her left arm, rolled up her sleeve, revealing her tender forearm. Beneath the snow-like skin, faint blue runes began to surface again. "Deepblue Aria is a sixth-level Rune Construct. But the current Norland continent only possesses knowledge of fifth-level runes. So, if you wish to complete it, you must venture into the depths of the infinite planes to seek the secrets of Deepblue Aria."

"I will explore the planes," Richard stated calmly, without making oaths or getting emotional.

"Then I will wait for you!" The deep blue runes gradually faded. Helen Su lifted her bright little face, reverting to her wanton, flamboyant self.

But Richard now knew that the flamboyant, unrestrained Legendary Mage everyone saw wasn't the real Helen Su. The one sighing softly amidst the deep blue in the middle of last night was. Or perhaps both were Helen Su, just that, like him, one was buried deep where no one could see.

Dawn had broken. The Day of Fate became the past.

Under the cover of the early morning quiet, Richard left Helen Su's private domain. As the magic door closed behind him, he couldn't help but pause and look back. Two worlds separated once more. When the magic door would open before him again, who knew? Helen Su's final instruction still lingered in his ears: "You must never speak of what happened last night!"

Of course, Richard wouldn't speak of it. This matter, this experience, he would bury deep within his heart, treasuring it carefully as his most precious possession.

Yet, the Legendary Mage's other declaration brought a faint, elusive smile to his long-calm face. Helen Su had devoured his first time, claiming she intended to leave a scar on his soul. And she had indeed succeeded. An indelible shadow belonging to her was now branded upon Richard's heart, eternally difficult to erase.

It was a radiant, brilliant shadow.
