Season 2, Chapter 7: "Darm that protects the light"

  Planet of Waru. Days later.

  Valterion falls to his knees, panting. The ground around it is shattered. The black armor smokes, and the purple lines still beat violently.

  Waru: "You felt it, didn't you?"

  Valterion: "What... was that?"

  Waru (acciming): “Dark Energy. Dark energy. A pure manifestation of pain... of broken honor... and of the repressed desire for redemption."

  Valterion: "How can I have something like that...? I... am a knight of honor."

  Waru: “No, boy. You were a knight of honor.

  Since that day when that demon with your face destroyed yours... since you died in life...

  You have carried a guilt that you never let go.

  That poison grew inside you. That shadow... that denial...

  It became part of your soul.

  And when a gentleman can't forgive himself... he becomes something else."

  Valterion (almost whispering): "...Dark..."

  Waru (firm): "Dark energy is not controlled, Valterion. It is understood.

  It's not chaos. It's not evil.

  It's an extreme response... to an absolute need.”

  Valterion: "And what am I supposed to do with this? Become a monster?"

  Waru (serious, but not cruel): “No.

  You will become the Ruler's shield and sword.

  And if one day he falls, you must get up in his place.

  That's the sentence... and the honor... of the Dark Knight."

  TRAINING ASSEMBLY – DAYS LATER

  Narrated by Waru's voice while showing Valterion's transformation:

  Waru (voiceover):

  "A guilty soul is not weak.

  A soul that knows why it bleeds is more dangerous than a thousand demons."

  ?  We see Valterion raising a mountain with both hands.

  ?  Then, doing push-ups under a purple storm, with lightning hitting his armor.

  ?  Cuts a black ocean with a single cut of his sword.

  ?  He plunges into lava and walks away, his body burning, but firm.

  ?  Meditate under a rain of blades that barely touch him.

  Waru (voiceover):

  "Your pain will be your edge.

  Your determination, your shield.

  And your faith... your true engine."

  ?

  FINAL SCENE: THE DEFINITIVELY TESTED

  Valterion reaches the center of the dark crater where he has trained.

  Valterion: "Master... I have fulfilled every order. I'm ready to fight any enemy.”

  Waru (turning his back on him): "Are you sure? Ready not to fail... again?"

  Valterion: "This time... I will defeat him before Juan has to fight."

  Waru (turns slowly): "Then... let your last lesson begin."

  And without warning, Waru unsheaths his huge curved blade and attacks Valterion at maximum speed. Valterion barely manages to raise his sword.

  Valterion (shouting): "What is he doing?!"

  Waru (screaming with fury):

  "One of the two will die, boy! And if you don't beat me here...

  You will never be able to protect anyone!"

  The earth trembles.

  The dark energies collide.

  The lightning bends.

  And the universe... listen.
