Help! I Isekai’d and Accidentally Killed the Protagonist, and Now I Need to Take Her Place as the Prince’s Bride Candidate Even Though I’m a MANLY Guy!
Edgar is a very manly stud with a cute little sis who loves to read light novels in an app called ‘Your Story to Tell’.
The latest light novel his sister is reading is a very mushy love story about a prince looking for bride candidates.
His sister kept pestering him to read it too, though he has no interest in such things. She keeps telling him about the latest developments in the story, and was busy on her mobile phone while crossing the street, when she was almost hit by truck-kun.
Almost.
Because his big bro was able to save her, and gets into an accident in her stead.
A blink was all it took.
When Edgar opened his eyes, he found himself in a magical medieval world full of romance.
His lovely twin sister is about to undergo a magical ritual to see if she is fit to be a bride candidate for the crown prince, but because of his sudden arrival – and because he thinks he’s still getting hit by truck-kun, he freaks out and accidentally pushes her off the cliff.
He also accidentally tripped and picked up a mysterious egg.
And accidentally hatched a blue phoenix which is a legendary mythical creature that symbolizes the royal family.
And so, even after vehemently going against the plans of his so called ‘father’, Earl Phoebus of Beezwax, who owns a small (very small) scrap of land in the south east (very far to the south east) end of the empire, Lord Ethan becomes Lady Elaine, and is sent (forced?) to the capital to catch the prince’s heart.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
But ‘Elaine’ isn’t just going to sit tight and let the story unfold like in his sister’s favorite light novel (or what he remembers from her nagging).
No, he’s hell bent to change the script and get the hell away from the ‘happy ending’ that leads to a wedding night with the crown prince.
Problem is, whenever he comes to a decision, a window magically pops-up in front of his face and gives him a limited number of choices.
Two, to be precise.
Having no choice but to follow the predetermined possible outcomes of the ‘Your Story to Tell’ light novel, he finally decides to go with the flow and just let the crown prince himself find out that he is actually a man (spoiling the story is taboo, and taboo is punishment).
But wait... how come most of the lead characters are men?
Why do the women in the story seem to be nothing more than background characters?
Why is the crown prince (as well as half of the guards) still interested in him, when he is so obviously, a guy?
"Could it be possible that my sweat 9 year old baby sister was reading a BL light novel all along?!"
But he patiently lives through every scene, just to get to the very end, with high hopes that the final reward could send him back home again.
Until the crown prince chooses him and finally finds out that he is, indeed, a man, on their wedding night.
But then, the prince smiled lovingly at him and said;
“It’s okay, I have prepared the magic fruit that would enable you to give birth to my heir.”
That was the last straw for ‘Elaine’.
Particularly when he saw his two options:
A: ‘My highness, please be gentle’
B: ‘Oh my, I won’t let you sleep all night!’
With a mighty bellow, Edgar destroys the pop-up window, destroys the wedding bed, and destroys the prince by force feeding him the magic baby bearing fruit.
He then escapes from the castle and decides to go on adventures of his own.
The end :D
