King's Landing
Arya wandered the streets for two days, desperately begging for scraps of unsold food and sleeping in the hidden backstreets. Thankfully, the summer weather saved her from freezing to death, and her sharp intuition and Needle kept any opportunistic people from getting too close. However, this day was different; she felt like she was being watched but couldn't find the reason. She had avoided all the kids and Lannister soldiers, blending in with the other poor peasants in the city as much as possible, so why was she on edge?
She bolted into a back alley to hopefully lose her tail, but even after running for a while, she still felt watched. Getting her footwork correct and holding Needle up, she called out, "I know you're there; come out, or I'll stab around until I find you!"
Just when she was second-guessing herself, the words "Shatter, Kyoka Suigetsu" reached her ears, and the alley broke like gss, revealing a handsome white-haired blind guy, no older than Rob, dressed in what seemed to her like a bck silk dress and a funny white cape. (If Gojo could read minds, he would have died of embarrassment and anger while trying to expin a captain-css fashion.)
Although she was stunned for a bit by the magic, her hand tightened on Needle as she prepared to fight, noticing the strange sword on his hip. Unfortunately, her thoughts were broken by his stupid words.
"I've come to kidnap you and take you to my fairytale kingdom," he said calmly.
She looked at his face and earnest expression and could help but feel sorry for whoever birthed this fool. Her thoughts were in a mess, torn between fighting, running, or pitying him. He obviously wasn't with the Lannisters and didn't seem like he would hand her over to a brothel for cash like the people in the streets, so she spoke carefully, hoping his magic could send her home: "I'm the daughter of the Hand of the King and protector of the North. If you can get me to my brother or mother, you'll be rewarded. Even better if my father and sister join!"
He just looked at her with some pity, and Needle was once again raised in caution. After all, what was she thinking? Just because he looked funny and had said such stupid things didn't mean he wanted to help her or knew exactly who she was. It was just her childish hope that with his magic, everything could go back to the way it was in the North. He spoke to her like she was a child, but she wasn't; she had already killed someone, the face appearing in her mind briefly as his words snapped her back to reality.
"I'm sorry, but I'm a greedy man. I'm only here for my own satisfaction, and you aren't someone close to me, so why should I help get your family out of a situation they've put themselves into?"
He... He looked so unapologetic, the bastard. "Then what about the reward from my family? What about honor and valor and winning the dy with heroic deeds? My sister would fall for you despite your dress. I also have some brothers. If you're so set on taking me away, then why not the rest?"
He looked at her strangely, with his ears getting a bit red for some reason as she ranted at him, but he always had this calm smile, like he was looking down on her. "Because I don't need anything your family could offer, and what I want, I will take when I want it. Also, I'm not into men, and this isn't a dress; it's... Never mind, you wouldn't understand."
The hope of magic that could bring her family back together was snuffed out by this bastard, and she didn't want to go with him, abandoning her father and sister to Joffrey and the Queen. She had to fight; with her resolve set, Needle struck forward as fast as she could, aiming for his sword arm.
Unfortunately, there was a fsh of blue light, and she was gone. In fact, there was nothing in the alley—just above, an invisible probe flew back to the Red Keep.
Kings nding Red keep
"A month had passed for Sansa without news about her sister, other than that she was missing and her father was a traitor to King Joffrey. Her most recent meeting with the queen hadn't gone well; she was forced to write to her brother in the hopes he could stop the war and bend the knee to Joffrey. That way, she could at least salvage the situation with her marriage, but if he didn't, then what would happen to her father and to her?
Her friend was even worse off; she had rarely stopped crying in their room ever since she heard of her father's death. Littlefinger had offered to take her out of the city, but by the time they reached their room, Jeyne was gone. Peter Baelish called for the guards to search, but all her attention was focused on the small box that was supposed to be hidden, sitting on her bed.
Days passed, cold and lonely without her family or friends. The once familiar men-at-arms were now unfamiliar in red and gold. She was even told by one of the maids that Septa Mordane had been locked up next to her father. Her life became unbearable; she was shunned at court like a wild animal because of her 'traitorous seed.'
The queen and her dies constantly ridiculed her for every little thing, while all the other lords boasted about how they would take her brother's head if his army reached there. She tried to ignore them instead going to Joffrey where she begged him with all her heart and tears, hoping to reach whatever part of his heart he had said loved her to spare him.
Despite all the pain and humiliation inflicted by the Lannisters, she had gotten her stubborn father to confess and legitimize Joffrey so she could accept the plea offer the Queen had given her. Finally, the war could end, her father could return north; it wasn't what she had hoped for, but it was better than her father's death.
That day felt like a dream it all moved to fast. All she could remember about the initial trial was how magnificent the great sept was with its tiles and stained gss windows and the great crowd of small folk shouting.
After her father confessed, Pycelle was next to speak, addressing the masses: "In the eyes of the gods, he is a sinner, but the gods are often forgiving of such things. What is to be done with this traitor, your grace?"
"My mother wishes for me to let Lord Eddard join the Night's Watch. Stripped of all powers and titles, he would serve the realm in exile. My dy Sansa has begged for mercy for her father." She smiled as he looked at her; this was it; finally, love prevailed over everything, just like in her stories.
"But those are the soft hearts of women. So long as I am your king, treason shall never go unpunished! Ser Iln, bring me his head!"
Both she and the queen tried to stop him. As the crowd cheered, she was held back by a Kingsguard as she wept and screamed, "No! No! Stop!! Please, he's not a traitor! Stop! Stop him. Stop!" The world went silent as Ice came down, and she could hardly bear to look at her nightmare.
