Texiha was a busy city as it was the closest city to Promise. That was how the village near the Nightmare Dungeon had been named. The emperor of Zanyr had personally named it and the citizens hated the name, but since it was new had no prior name, there was nothing else to call it.

  Hot winds and sand blew in from the desert. The city used to be a relatively quiet city, which changed drastically after the dungeon had appeared. Business boomed as this was the last stop for adventurers before reaching Promise. The citizens from Texiha were taken aback at first, but they fully embraced the business.

  The was no trace to be found of the once relatively poor city. All traces of poverty had been erased in the last few years. Giana, Noelle and Yvonne stepped out of the AA. They looked like 3 normal human women, as Giana had cast illusions to make them draw less attention. Noelle had strengthened these illusions to ensure sharp adventurers wouldn't catch on.

  The idols had taken the teleport gate as money was no problem for the three and the distance between Nelfim and Texiha was too large to travel in a reasonable timeframe.

  “So where did you say we’re going to meet up the friend of lil’ bro?”

  Giana looked around. “I think we need to go that way. He said he wanted to visit a place that’s important to him.”

  The idols took a left turn and headed toward an area that used to be the slums. The situation had vastly improved, but it was still a bit behind compared to the rest of the city.

  “Uhm this place seems to be suspicious. Are you sure Giana?” Yvonne asked as her careful nature set her instincts off. She looked around to make sure no shady characters would ambush them.

  “Don’t worry Yv, I don’t see anyone besides the one we’re looking for.” Giana assured her as the three approached a man in a donkey suit who was accompanied by a red haired woman and a bulky guy.

  “You must be Toxic Donkey. Nice to meet you. Noelle, the illusions.”

  Noelle stopped stabilizing the illusions and their real appearance started bleeding into their apparent appearance until nothing was left of their disguise, shifting to the appearances everyone knew them, as the idols of Tails of Symphony.

  “Ooh Kyle! They’re here! Ooh they smell nice!” the red haired woman said loudly as she pulled on the donkey suit and pointed at the idols.

  “You know I can’t smell it, Io, and yes. I’m Kyle, also known as the Toxic Donkey.”

  “Kyle? No surname?” Giana asked as she tilted her head.

  “Yeah, it’s just Kyle.”

  “Nice to meet you Just Kyle.” Giana said with a smile while shaking his hand.

  Kyle sighed. “You know, Agnis did the same thing when we met. Is this a racial trait or something?”

  “I don’t know. Maybe it is. You might already know me, but I’m Giana Kahlua.”

  Noelle stepped forward and extended her hand. “Noelle Yasmin, nice to meet you.”

  “Y…Yvonne Faer.”

  “Wow so you three are also tailed beasts. Hey Io don’t be ill-mannered! And pull Vinny back into reality, he’s just looking at some weeds!”

  “I’m Io and I’m a dragon! And that there is Vinny, he’s a dragon too, but he’s a weirdo.” Io said as she pointed at the green haired bulky man who was crouched down and inspecting some desert weeds.

  Toxic donkey sighed. “Right, I apologize for these two as you can see, they’re dragons… You will get to know them batter a bit later.”

  “So, Kyle… I can call you Kyle right? How do you know my lil’ bro?”

  “Kyle is fine. Agnis is kind of my mentor. He plucked me off the streets. Right here. He saved my brother from cultists, swamping the whole sewer system, and then trained me to become a Silent Night… Toxic Donkey. Vinny there also helped me. Agnis also is responsible for my name as ‘Toxic Donkey’ I still need to get him back for that!”

  “Ooh your training. That takes me back. I apologize for the late introduction. I’m Vinyr, a jungle dragon, also known as Vinny.” Vinny said politely as he shook the hands of the idols.

  “So, you are idols, right? How do you know my idiotic mentor, he never mentioned you three.” Toxic Donkey asked as he inspected the idols and earned an elbow in his side from a fire dragon.

  “He… forgot about us.” The idols said embarrassed.

  Yvonne covered her face. “I think Raishin and Gregory forgot too. They somehow never remembered us…”

  “Hahaha! That’s so him! He also forgot he had some missions in the loud sun!” Io said while making a scene and rolling on the floor laughing.

  “Io!”

  “D...did any of you have had c…connections with Gregory and Raishin?”

  “Uhh I didn’t do you Vinny?” Kyle asked and looked at Vinny.

  “He did tell me about them, but I never got to meet them. Either he or I am in a hurry, so our latest encounters have been short, and he has always been alone. But even as adventurers, there is not known much about the Obsidian Prince and the Crazy Firecracker. The Obsidian Prince seems to be popular under the women, librarians and archeologists, but that’s all I know.”

  Yvonne showed concern after hearing this.

  “Anyway, we’re going to find out in that stupid dungeon Agnis made. Io and I tried it last month but… it’s stupidly difficult. And then that asshole released that video where they run through it to mock everyone. Of course, it’s going to be easy for them, they have gone through it!”

  Kyle got worked up and Giana calmed him down by humming.

  “Thank you. So, the only way to get through it is to go in with the most overpowered team I can think of!” Toxic Donkey said as he pointed at the idols and then the dragons.

  “I hate to break it to you Kyle but our offensive capabilities are quite low.” Noelle said as put her hands in her hips.

  “It’s fine! Because I’m a dragon!” Io yelled as she spat out a fire plume of pride.

  “Well, I’m curious, aren’t you curious, Noelle? But I will already tell you this… I might be a nine-tailed spirit fox, but I don’t have any offensive abilities. Please don’t expect me to do what Agnis can do.”

  Vinny sighed and turned into his dragon form. “Don’t worry Giana, we are happy to know that you can’t do what he can. He torched half a country… Hop on. Getting to Promise will take long unless we fly.”

  “Hey not fair you flew us here! I want to fly this time!” Io said as she also turned into her dragon from. Kyle sighed tiredly.

  “Uhh ok.”

  Vinny realized that arguing about this would be a waste of time and went back to his human form.

  “Eww! He’s naked!” Noelle screamed as she boxed him in with [Earth Walls].

  “It’s… a dragon thing.” Kyle said with a tired smile. “Let’s hop on Io’s back before she gets impatient.”

  The newly formed party climbed on Io’s back. Giana and Noelle made sure that the illusions would hide them as they flew up and away.
