He Kissed Her

  Ariel’s POV

  It’s been a week now since the incident of Shirley trying to bully me over Axel’s clothes. Well, everything is kind of settled now. Aiden made it known to her that she shouldn’t lay her hands on me again, and ever since then, some students have been staring weirdly at me. I wonder what is going on in their mind.

  Some even came to ask me about my relationship with Aiden, they thought I was his girlfriend due to the way he acted that day. That’s their problem anyway, but I won’t reveal myself to them, they mustn’t know about me staying with a celebrity like Aiden. It’s gonna mean danger for me.

  The only person who won’t stop pestering me is Mia, well she is kind of my friend now, but can I trust her? She heard about the incident from the gossiping student and forced me to spill the event to her. She screamed her lungs out in glee, stating that I was lucky to meet with the two demigods of the school.

  The twins are not really current with school activities and when they do, they attend private classes with other young celebrities. So not everyone has the opportunity to see them at a close range not to talk of touching them, and speaking with them; especially Axel. He is a ghost in human form, she says.

  Right now I’m sitting under a certain tree in the school compound, singing a song I wrote ages ago. Ever since I was young, becoming a musician has been my dream, well, modeling also came in when I turned teenage hood.

  But the fact remains that I love music more than any other dream. I sang with passion, oblivious of my environment, not until I ended the lyrics that I heard someone clapping from behind. It was Mia

  “Oh…my ……God…..Ariel…..” She screamed, coming to sit opposite me

  “What?? What’s wrong?” I asked in fright

  “Are you serious….you have an angelic voice” She pouted

  “Hey…stop the flattering, I’m not that perfect”

  “Seriously, you are, Ariel…you are. Everything about you is just so perfect, your face, your hair, your curves, damn it, girl…I’m jealous of you” Mia stated, I only smiled, what else can I say?

  “So what song were you singing…did you write it?”

  “Yes….I wrote the song when I was very young. It’s one of my best songs”

  “Wow…it’s amazing. Well, since you have a nice voice, why don’t you try singing in the music industry, perhaps become an artist”

  “Hmm….I don’t know how to go about it”

  “Seriously, ain’t you in this country? The Hybrid Musicals are having an online audition for upcoming talented singers. Didn’t you hear about it” She asked, furrowing her brow.

  “Well, I don’t think so, what is it about”

  “Hmm,…..after the online audition, the best will be selected and a live audition will commence of which the heads of the triple groups will be the judge, and mind you Axel will also be a judge. So you might get to meet him again, and you know” She winked.

  “What??”

  “Come on Ariel, don’t you crush on the twins too, practically every girl in this country longs to meet them, and trust me this will be a great opportunity for you, being that you have a great voice, even more than that of Sophia”

  “Oh….what about you, ain’t you gonna apply”

  “Hmmm…well I’m not a great singer, but I might just try, not because I wanna become a singer too. But because I will get to meet someone” She whispered.

  “Who?”

  “Never mind, you will get to know him later” she laughed. I fake a frown

  “Fine….fine…..it’s Aiden, I heard he will be present at the first audition, as a guest judge. And I wanna see his face. I’m crushing on him” she grinned

  We talked about random things before retiring to class.

  Lectures for the day weren’t that hectic, I arrived home, famished, and decided to have my lunch before retiring to my room. I brought out my phone and signed up for the online audition which Mia told me about. I did a 2-minute video singing one of the songs I wrote. I hope this works out and I get it. My joy will know no bounds.

  I brought out my diary and scribbled down the day’s events, well I always keep a diary. I forgot the one I came along with at the hotel. I had to get a new one. My mind flashed back to my mum, I miss her, and how I wish I could reach her.

  Bringing out my phone, I tried calling her number again, but it kept saying switched off. It was the only number she had and which I had managed to cram before coming to this country. I sighed frustratingly after calling repeatedly with the same response, slumping on the bed.

  “Please stay safe for me Mum. I’m about to climb the ladder to success; please don’t let anything bad happen to you. I prayed, hugging the diary to myself. Aiden has already done a lot for me; I don’t wanna pester him more, telling him about my mum and me not being able to reach her.

  A knock came on the door as I muttered a ‘come in’

  Aiden entered looking sparkling hot. He was putting on a black Jean with a sleeveless white top; a gold chain hung around his neck, with a piece of diamond earring on his ear, giving him a mesmerizing look.

  He smiled, sending butterflies into my stomach as I returned the smile. I wasn’t expecting him to come home this early though.

  “Hey, can I come in” He asked, still standing at the door post

  “Sure…sure…you can” I shuttered, trying to cover up the fact that I was drooling. But he seemed to notice it and smirked. He came to sit beside me on the bed.

  “How has your day been?”

  “It’s been going well; school was cool today and erm….” I was beginning to think if I should just tell him about the online audition that the Hybrid musicals launched, but I don’t wanna rush things, I will have to get in first before sharing the news with him.

  “And what??” he asked, his brows furrowed.

  “And…erm… I…had fun with my friend, we played some games and so on” I lied, well it’s not really a lie, I just don’t wanna say what was on my mind at first.

  He chuckled

  “That’s nice. But who is that friend of yours that you are always speaking of, Male or Female?

  “Female” I smiled and I felt him breathe out, like he was holding his breath waiting for me to answer.

  “That’s cool, I would like to meet her someday, you know….”

  “Sure….she also wishes to see you…she kinda your fan you know” I spurted out before I could control my mouth, mentally accusing it of speaking so much. He laughed

  “Fine I will like to meet her too, but hope she doesn’t know that you live with me”

  “No, she doesn’t”

  “Fine, you need to keep it a secret from certain people for now, okay”

  “Sure” I nodded

  “Ok, so before I forget, I got you something” He wriggled his brow, bringing forth a scarlet box. It looks expensive and no doubt, what it contains will surely be expensive.

  “Wow…” a gasp escaped my mouth as he opened the box. It contained a diamond bracelet, the reflection from the electric light made it sparkle, glittering around the room. It cost a fortune.

  I was still gaping at it when he took my hand in his, picked up the bracelet, and pushed it on my wrist. It matched my skin perfectly, giving it a stunning look. I was short of words.

  “Thank you so much…I mean…erm…this is just too much…this is a diamond bracelet, it’s gonna cost a lot” I fidgeted with my words. He smiled, still holding my hand in his

  “Yeah…sure…but you deserve more than this because you are priceless. You worth more than a diamond, Ariel” he whispered, softly circling my hand with his palm. I don’t know why he is saying such fabulous words, but with the look of things, the room was already getting intense.

  Our eyes locked, and before I could blink twice, our faces were just a few inches away. My body system was already vibrating to his touch on my hand, my heartbeat could be heard pounding like the sound of a mortar and pestle, hitting against each other feverishly.

  Our lips were just an inch apart and I could mentally hear my subconscious mind telling me to stop the act, but my body was saying otherwise.

  My lips were inching for his kiss, and my stomach was already tired of the random butterfly feelings; all I need is his lips on mine.

  His lips caught up with mine, and the rhythm began. We nibbled on each other’s lips, enjoying the rhythm it made.

  His lips were soft against mine, and the warmth could send one to another world. He was gentle with me, sucking my lower lips with perfection; no doubt, he is such a good kisser, while I’m still a learner trying to fit into the music.

  He gave me that chance to learn, he bit my lip a little making me gasp and give him more entrance to perform the magic.

  But the little lovely moment was ruined when his phone rang out. We jerk breaking the kiss. He took out the phone from his pocket, cursing slightly as he picked up the call.

  “Just call me back, Mr. Man” he scoffed into the phone

  “Can’t it wait…I’m busy now” he whined, but the caller seemed not to agree with him.

  “Fine…fine…I will be there in a jiffi, trust me” he sighed and ended the call. He stared at me again, and I could feel blood rushing up my cheek.

  “Are you blushing?” he asked. I had to cover my cheek, geez..was it that obvious? He laughed at my funny expression.

  “You don’t need to be shy, okay. And…erm...I’m sorry for taking you unaware. I shouldn’t have kissed you that way” he apologized, having a bit of guilt in his voice.

  “Oh..no…it’s okay….it’s….just..a kiss” I mumbled. He smiled, nodding

  “Thank you”

  “Thank me, for what”

  “I don’t know, I just felt like thanking you” he cooed

  “Oh…ok…thank you too, for the bracelet. I’m grateful”

  “You are welcome. So I need to take my leave now. Take care of yourself; sweetheart” he winked, exiting the room

  “Sweetheart?????oh…my God….” I screamed, jumping on the bed

  “He freaking called me sweetheart, kissed me, and bought me a bracelet. Geez, Ariel, you just arrived here some months ago, and you have started kissing a celebrity. For goodness sake, not just a celebrity, but Aiden, the guy who got the award for best actor of the year.

  A well-known celebrity at that, every girl's crush and…and..oh God…I’m short of words. This is amazing.” I yelp in glee, but my excitement was cut short when a call came into my phone. It was Mia calling.

  “Hey Bestie”

  “Don’t Bestie me Ariel, why have you been hiding things from me, ain’t we friends for damn sake” she blurted out in anger, as I shivered a bit

  “What….what is it” I shuttered in fear. What has Mia found out, that I am keeping a secret, I thought within.

  “Huff” she scoffs

  “See you in school tomorrow” And with that, she ended the call
