The Monster We Created

Chapter 12: The Monster We Created

  Recap:

Daesung lost consciousness in the heat of battle—but instead of falling, he rose. His mind shut down, but his body moved on its own. What awoke was not a fighter, but a beast. In his Crazy Mode, armed with iron rods and fueled by raw fury, Daesung tore through his enemies—defeating Rowan, Eli, and even overwhelming Hwan Doo and Bang Jitte. The battlefield was left in ruins…

  Silence.

  Blood dripped from Daesung’s rods.

Broken bodies lay scattered around him.

Not a single enemy remained standing.

  But Daesung didn’t stop.

His breath was loud. Heavy. Animalistic.

He stepped toward Jinwoo, who was already unconscious.

  “DAESUNG!”

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

Jihan’s voice roared across the field.

  Daesung paused—but didn’t turn.

Jihan rushed forward, grabbing his arm.

“It’s over! They’ve lost! You won—stop it, bro!”

  But Daesung didn’t recognize him.

  He raised the rod.

  Jihan gritted his teeth.

“Don’t make me fight you too…”

  Before Daesung could strike again—

  BANG!

A smoke grenade landed between them.

  Everyone’s heads turned.

From the smoke emerged a group in black coats, faces covered, marked with a strange insignia—a white tiger curled around a broken crown.

“That’s enough. This gang war ends now.”

A tall boy stepped out of the smoke. Sharp jawline. Cold eyes. Blue streak in his hair.

He carried no weapon—but every fighter there felt a pressure heavier than Daesung’s aura.

“My name is Ryuseong. Leader of the White Fang Division.

We’ve been silent until now. But watching you lunatics destroy half the city?

  Time for cleanup.”

Jihan, still holding Daesung’s arm, whispered,

  “White Fang... They’re real?”

Zack, bruised and barely awake, muttered,

“Aren’t they the ones who broke the Jincheon Ring last year?”

The White Fang members surrounded the battlefield.

One of them injected something into Daesung’s neck—a sedative.

He growled—but slowly, his body lost strength. The rods dropped. His knees buckled.

  Crazy Daesung fell.

  Unconscious. At last.

Later That Night – Unknown Location

Daesung lay on a medical bed, bandaged, asleep.

Jihan sat beside him, fists clenched.

“I thought we could control this.

But what the hell are you becoming, bro?”

  A door opened. Ryuseong entered.

  “He’s dangerous. But also… interesting.

We can help him. But he needs to decide—

does he want to destroy the gangs…

  or lead them?”

  Jihan turned to him.

  “And if he refuses?”

  Ryuseong smiled faintly.

“Then we put him down before he becomes something worse.”
