Episode -2: Family Man

  The year is 1978 in the Land of Fire. A young, bright-eyed boy runs around some fancy houses while passing a fireball between his hands. Just then, he bumps into a man who looks like Squall from FF8 who's carrying a box of wine.

  Fugaku: Hey! You Tryin' To Make Me Trip?!

  Sasuke: S-Sorry, father.

  Fugaku: *Sigh* Just, look out, okay?

  Sasuke: Yes, sir!

  Fugaku: Got your homework done?

  Sasuke: Uhh.

  Mikoto: Sasuke!!

  Sasuke: Be Right There!!

  Sasuke runs off.

  Fugaku: Get Your Homework Done Before I Spank You!!

  Sasuke runs to his mother in the kitchen, where she's preparing a large meal.

  Mikoto: Angering your father again?

  Sasuke: Looks like it, yeah!

  Mikoto: Well, don't sound too excited about it.

  Sasuke: I mean-

  Mikoto: We're having a meeting with the whole clan tonight. Could you go out and get five loaves of bread for me?

  Sasuke: Yup! Later!

  He starts running.

  Mikoto: Saaasukeee!

  He turns around.

  Sasuke: Yeah, mom?

  Mikoto: Take some money out of my purse first.

  Sasuke: Right.

  He takes from her purse on the counter.

  Sasuke: See ya!

  He dashes outside.

  Mikoto: That boy...

  Sasuke runs past the open gate to the Uchiha community and a girl finds him.

  Sakura: Hey, Sasuke! Where ya goin'?

  Sasuke: The store. You?

  Sakura: Nowhere. Wanna take me with you?

  Sasuke: You wanna carry some bread?

  Sakura: Sure! Why not?

  Sasuke: Cool! Thanks.

  The two walk off together and another girl catches up to them.

  Ino: Where're You two going?

  Sakura: Just to the store, Ino!

  Ino: Yeah? Well, I'm going Too!

  Sasuke: You wanna carry bread too?

  Ino: You bet I do!

  They get to the nearest store and find the bread aisle.

  Sakura: Look, Sasuke! You can get 8 of these!

  Sasuke: That's a lot.

  Ino: Yeah, of cheap doody bread! Look at these. They're healthier, higher quality, And bigger.

  Sakura: But, you can get more loaves over here!

  Ino: How tasty is it?

  Sakura: It's bread. How tasty Could it be?

  Sasuke does some math with his fingers.

  Ino: That's probably why You get shelved so much.

  Sakura: WHAT?!

  Sasuke: What if I get three of each?

  Sakura: …

  Ino: …

  Sakura & Ino: I guess that works.

  The three walk back to the Uchiha gate as the girls carry the bread. Just as they turn into the community, a shadow looms behind them.

  Itachi: Are these two still fighting over you, Sasuke?

  Sasuke: Itachi!!

  Sasuke hugs his tall brother, who puts an arm around him.

  Sasuke: Finally done training?!

  Itachi: Not quite yet. I'm here for the reunion. I need to speak with mother. Can you take me to her?

  Sasuke: Sure! She's this way!

  They all walk together.

  Sakura: So, ya got a girlfriend yet, Itachi?

  Itachi: I don't have the time for romance at the moment.

  Ino: I don't believe you! I bet cool guys like you are just drowning in women.

  Itachi: Even if I were, why would I want to be? Surely, one is better than two.

  Sasuke: Yeah! That's what I'm talkin' about!

  Sakura and Ino glare at each-other as the four enter the kitchen.

  Sasuke: Got the bread, mom!

  The girls put the bread on the counter.

  Mikoto: Thank... You...

  Itachi: Don't hide your excitement to see me so well, mother.

  Itachi hugs his mother and she awkwardly hugs him back.

  Mikoto: Sasuke-

  Itachi: We need to speak in private. Would you mind playing outside with your friends?

  Sasuke: Sure.

  Sakura: Yeah!

  Ino: We can do that!

  The three kids run outside.

  Ino: Where should we go?

  Sakura: What should we do?

  Sasuke: I don't know!... We could play with fire!

  Sakura: We don't know fire jutsu like you.

  Sasuke: Ehh. Right! Well... We could throw around some kunai!

  Ino: We're not allowed to do that yet, Sasuke.

  Sasuke: Oh...

  Sakura: We could go find something at the playground to do.

  Sasuke: Yeah!

  Ino: That's it!

  Itachi walks outside and sits on the steps of the house as he looks down. Sasuke runs up to him.

  Sasuke: Wanna come play with us?

  Itachi: ….. I'm. Sorry. What did you say?

  Sasuke: Let's go to the park together!

  Itachi: I... I can't. I have a lot on my mind today.

  Sasuke: Like what?

  He looks up at his little brother.

  Itachi: … You should go have fun with them. Just, give me some time to think.

  Sasuke: Okay. See you!

  Sasuke and the girls walk past the gate and Itachi grabs him, turning him around. He then hands him a small bag of money.

  Itachi: Go to the arcade and have a nice dinner. Don't come back until later in the night. The clan meeting will last a long time and you'd just get bored by it.

  Sasuke: But, what about my homework?

  Itachi: I'll do it for you.

  Sasuke: … You're The Best!!

  Sasuke hugs Itachi, who puts his arms around him. The kids then run off together. Later in the stormy night, Sasuke tries to open the Uchiha gate, but it's stuck.

  Sasuke: Ah, come on. How do I...

  He looks up, thinks, and climbs over the gate. On the other side, he sees broken structures and dead people littering the ground all over.

  Sasuke: U-Uncle?... Who... How..... Mom!!

  Sasuke runs into his house to see his father's body against a wall in the kitchen. He then sees Itachi in the living-room, standing over their mother's body, which still has his large sword in it.

  Sasuke: I-Itachi?... I-I... Why?

  Itachi turns to Sasuke with his head down.

  Itachi: It was me. It was all me. I killed each and every one of them. We're the only two Uchiha left alive in all existence.

  Sasuke starts crying with fire in his eyes.

  Sasuke: Why?! We Loved Them!! Why?!!

  Itachi: Why?... I thought it'd be fun. Dad put up a good fight, but I think mom screamed the best.

  Sasuke: … N-No. No! You're Not My Brother!! You're Not Itachi!!

  Itachi stares straight at Sasuke. He has the Sharingan in his eyes. Sasuke is taken aback.

  Itachi: Wanna bet on that, brother?

  Itachi grabs his sword and slowly walks towards a frozen Sasuke.

  Itachi: Are you fascinated in what rests beyond the gates to Yomi? Let me show it to you.

  Sasuke finds the strength in himself to run away. He quickly climbs the gate and falls on the other side, breaking his arm.

  Sasuke: Aaagh!!

  He gets up and dashes away through the tears and rain while holding his arm.

  Sasuke: I hate you. I hate you. I'll kill you.

  He comes to a crossroads and falls to his knees.

  Sasuke: ….. Mom... Dad.....
