“My name’s Ben; what’s yours?” I ask her.

  “Eria.” She replied, I kept walking through the dark forest looking for more mini wolves. She kept following me as I killed more wolves. I killed the tenth as the sun was setting and started heading back to the adventurers guild. During all of this, Eria didn’t say a single word.

  We entered the adventurers guild, and I went to cim my reward. After I did that, I went to go leave, and Eria followed me. I turn around. “Why are you following me?” I asked her.

  “You’re an orphan too. Why else would someone your age be out here without anything except a knife?” She said with a bnk expression on her face. “I’ll say it clearly: I don’t have anywhere else to go.”

  Thinking about what I see, I just told them it would be helpful to have another person around. “Fine.” I said, trying to hide my enthusiasm. Going back to the alley I call home, I ask Eria, “What is your css?”

  “None,” she tells me. ‘That’s strange.’ I thought, in the game, she was a powerful witch. Her main ability was to bring drawings to life. The next day we go back to the adventurers guild to get a new quest. Looking at the quest paper I read.

  We walk out of the adventurers guild and into the forest. After a few minutes of searching, we found a group of goblins dressed in tattered clothes. As soon as they heard us, they turned in our direction; one of them let out a gut-wrenching scream and dashed towards us. I saw the goblin rushing towards me; noticing that the goblin was without a weapon, I charged at him with the dagger in my hands. Using all the strength in my body, I stab the goblin in the stomach and kick it to the ground.

  Looking around, I see Eria, who I tasked with distracting the other two goblins, up a tree getting rocks thrown at her. I run over and stab one of the goblins in the back of the head. The other one, releasing that companion who died, jumps at me; I tackle the goblin in midair onto the ground. I use all my weight to fall and stab the goblin on the head.

  Eria, seeing that I killed all the goblins, jumped off the tree and nodded at me. We started back out of the forest as the sun was setting. Little did I know simple days ter these wouldn’t st forever. In this new body I had forgotten that you had to put in extra work to be great, but I would relearn that very soon.
