The Strongest Transcendent In History Is The Strongest
Chapter 4: Quarter Final Rond
As dawn breaks over the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, the gentle chirping of birds begins to fill the air. This morning ritual always provides a sense of peace and anticipation for the day ahead.
I gradually awaken from my restful slumber, reluctantly opening my eyes to greet the soft morning light filtering through my window. “So it’s morning already, huh?” I murmur to myself, stretching my arms above my head in a great yawn. With a sigh, I push back the covers and swing my legs over the side of the bed, mentally preparing myself for the bustling day at school that lies ahead.
After splashing some cold water on my face and brushing my teeth, I make my way to the kitchen, where a simple but nourishing breakfast awaits me. I quickly eat a slice of toast slathered in butter, accompanied by a glass of orange juice, relishing the tangy flavor that wakes up my senses. Once I finish my meal, I grab my backpack, making sure I have all my books and materials, and step out the door.
The walk to school is a routine I’ve grown to appreciate over time. The pleasant smell of blooming flowers fills the air, and I take a moment to enjoy the warmth of the sun on my skin. As I approach the towering structure of the Magic Academy of Toransudentosukūru, its imposing facade filled with intricate carvings of ancient spells and mythical creatures, I feel a familiar thrill of anticipation. I reach for the door and with a firm grasp, pull it open, stepping into the lively academy bustling with students.
Just as I step inside, I feel a light tap on my shoulder. Startled, I turn around to find Kurokami standing there with a playful grin on her face. "Boo!" she proclaims, her dark eyes glinting with mischief.
Caught off guard, I jump slightly. “Where’d you come from?” I blurt out, my heart racing for a brief moment before I compose myself.
Kurokami giggles softly, her laughter echoing the playful nature of our friendship. “Ha! You didn’t see me coming, did you? I’m a ninja,” she exclaims dramatically, striking a comical pose.
“What are you talking about?” I ask in confusion, although I can’t help but smile at her antics.
With a teasing glimmer in her eyes, Kurokami responds softly, “You'll never know.” The mystery she presents leaves me amused yet intrigued, and I can only nod in playful resignation.
Together, we stroll down the crowded hallways, weaving past clusters of students chatting animatedly, the energy of the academy pulsating around us. Upon entering our classroom, we find our usual seats and settle in, ready to absorb the day’s lessons. As the bell rings, signaling the start of class, Shinpii, our teacher, steps forward, and the chatter quickly subsides.
The morning passes swiftly, filled with engaging discussions and fascinating lessons. Once the class concludes, I notice that it’s time for combat training, a session that always heightens the excitement within the academy.
As I transition to my next class, I walk into the classroom, I feel a familiar gaze on me. Zen'nō, our combat instructor, looks at the students with authority.
With a serene demeanor, Zen'nō, our esteemed instructor, addresses the group. "Alright, everyone, please follow me," he states in a calm and unwavering tone.
At his words, a wave of anticipation spreads through the classroom as each student rises from their seats, their chairs squeaking softly against the polished floor. They gather in a line behind Zen'nō, eager to see what lies ahead, a mix of excitement and curiosity lighting up their faces.
As Zen'nō leads the way, he guides us through the familiar hallways of the school, his confident strides unwavering. We traverse past other classrooms, where muffled sounds of laughter and learning drift through the walls, until we reach a heavy door. With a fluid motion, Zen'nō reaches for the handle and pulls it open, unveiling the arena beyond.

The arena comes into view, a vast and expansive space that radiates an aura of intensity and focus. Sunlight pours in through high windows, illuminating the polished wooden floor that stretches out before us. The high ceilings are adorned with banners representing different combat disciplines, while the walls are lined with training equipment: punching bags, swords, and various martial arts apparatuses, each waiting to be utilized. In the center of the arena, a designated sparring mat is marked with vibrant lines, indicative of where combatants can engage in friendly matches.
Zen'nō steps intentionally into the arena, coming to a halt at the center, his presence commanding and calm amidst the growing excitement of his students. He turns slightly to face the group and announces, "Alright, everyone, we're here now." His voice remains steady, a reassuring anchor amidst our mounting energy.
The students gradually come to a halt behind him, their eyes wide with anticipation. The atmosphere is charged with eagerness as they settle into a semi-circle, taking in the sheer scale of the arena and the promise of the challenges that await.
Zen'nō finally addresses the group once again, his tone measured and calm, cutting through the chatter of excitement. "Now, it's time for some combat training," he declares. The announcement resonates with everyone, and a collective wave of enthusiasm washes over the group as they prepare to engage in what promises to be a thrilling session of skill-building and competition.
“This time, we’re going to pair you with someone to fight. Starting with you, Kiro, versus Yabu.”
With a mix of nerves and anticipation, I make my way to the arena, a designated training area filled with soft mats and marked boundaries designed for safe sparring. Yabu, my opponent, strides in confidently. He has short black hair that contrasts sharply with his piercing green eyes; he wears the standard black and white school outfit, which consists of fitted black pants and polished school shoes.
Zen'nō orders, “Ready? You may now begin!” commands Yabu as the signal to start the match. Without hesitation, he rushes towards me with remarkable speed, declaring with bravado, "I'll end this in one blow!"
Reacting quickly, I dodge to the side and bring my hand down sharply to strike his knee with my palm. His balance falters, and before he can regain his footing, he tumbles down onto the ground with a thud.
Zen'nō' observes the scene with calm authority, stating, "Yabu is out. The victor is Kiro."
A small surge of victory fills me as I step back, relieved yet exhilarated from the brief but intense bout. “Next up: Kurokami versus Katsuba!” Zen'nō announces, moving seamlessly to the next match.
Kurokami, always up for a challenge, walks into the arena to face Katsuba. Katsuba is a formidable opponent with striking white eyes and tousled brown hair, dressed in the same black and white school attire that we all wear, but his demeanor commands extra attention.
“Begin!” Zen'nō orders once again, Katsuba and Kurokami take on distinctive and compelling postures that reflect their individual characters and the emotions they are experiencing in this moment.
Katsuba and Kurokami adopt distinctive stances that reflect their unique fighting styles, each characterized by a specific pose designed to convey both strength and focus. Katsuba expertly transitions into a low, grounded stance known as the "Iron Horse," where his feet are firmly planted shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and arms poised in front of him, ready to react swiftly to any incoming challenge. This powerful position not only showcases his stability and readiness but also allows him to channel his energy effectively, preparing him for both offensive and defensive maneuvers.
Katsuba, embodying the powerful and assertive "Warrior II" pose, stands with one leg extended forward, bending at the knee while the other leg remains straight and strong behind. Their arms are outstretched sideward, parallel to the ground, with one hand reaching towards the front and the other extending backward, symbolizing a balance of strength and stability.
On the other hand, Kurokami takes on a vertical, agile stance referred to as the "Eagle's Flight." In this pose, Kurokami gracefully stands upright, with one foot slightly forward, arms raised and angled as if ready to soar into the air at a moment’s notice. This stance emphasizes his agility and lightness, suggesting that he is ready to change direction quickly or leap into action. The combination of these two poses not only highlights the distinct approaches of each fighter but also sets the stage for an intense and dynamic encounter, as they prepare to engage with skill and precision..
Katsuba charges forward, his intentions clear. “If you won't come to me, I’ll come to you!” he shouts, his confidence palpable.
Kurokami remains cool-headed, analyzing his movements carefully as he leaps towards her. In a swift and impressive display of skill, she catches his arm and, with a well-executed flip, sends him crashing to the ground.
The impact resonates within the arena as Zen'nō declares, “Winner: Kurokami!”
The thrill of combat training electrifies the atmosphere, and I can't help but feel a sense of pride for my friend and the growth we show in our training.
