Chapter One Forty-Five Labyrinths and Unholy Monsters

The adventurers gathered before the door, true to the dungeon’s word they were allowed past the fifth floor boss, Reifa. She was pretty cute actually, and clearly reted to the second floor boss Meifa. They not only looked but acted like sisters, and even without the battle requirement that didn’t stop the dragon sisters from trying to have some fun. A rather expected turn of events, they were lust demons after all. If there was one thing lust demons were renowned for, it was their practically boundless sex drive.

Amy looked around, it had been a bit since the full group was together, her party even had an extra, but so did Mira’s. Mira had brought Michelle and Delih along as usual, but her party had been joined by the vampire Reia. Amy recalled that she’d previously been one of Fmewind's sves. After Mira killed him with a mercy blow, that ownership had transferred to her. Apparently Reia had been ensved illegally, and had been the victim of his perversions. Which had left a bit of a mark on the poor girl. Amy thought she was doing pretty well considering, but she also knew the other girl had joined Mira’s group out of a sense of debt. Reia seemed to believe she owed Mira, and was here to repay that debt.

Of course the only person who could decide when that debt was paid would be Reia herself, since it wasn’t a debt of coin. It was something deeper, more profound. Amy wished her luck in that pursuit, she was a free girl now, her sve mark had been removed already, so if she chose to bind herself to a new master that was her own choice.

As for herself, Amy had brought along her brother-turned-sister Tammy, along with the girls, the Dwarf Mara, a powerful Foot Knight and the shield of their party. Kei, their jewel-slicing scout, who had apparently found time to be busy. Since her belly was starting to swell. As usual, Kei was dressed in nothing more than an enchanted leather bra, and panties. Next to her stood their food loving battle-junky Eri, the wolfgirl was a beastwarrior so she didn’t need weapons, and these days she didn’t bother with armor either. Eri was perfectly comfortable walking around completely bare, although Amy wasn’t entirely sure when the girl gave up clothing. Still it was probably for the best, with her fragile armor trait her clothes never did st long, which hadn’t helped the party budget.

To round out their group and bring forth powerful healing abilities, they had been joined recently by Aidera. Amy couldn’t help blushing at the sight of her swollen belly, memories flooding in about their little indiscretion, the one that had gotten herself, Tammy, and Aidera all pregnant at the same time. Her hand dropped to her own belly, feeling the baby move a little, part of her was worried, but she knew it would be okay. Pregnant adventurers had challenged false-death dungeons all the time, it wasn’t an issue. The dungeon would protect the unborn child like any child, hell, it wasn’t a problem in true-death dungeons either, by some quirk the monsters would always avoid blows to the belly, and if you fell? The dungeon would avoid killing you, you’d just wake up as a dungeon pet. Still a pretty bad idea in her opinion though.

Mara drew closer, her armor made a metallic cng with each step, “So you haven’t really said, but what can we expect past this point?”

Amy pyed with her bow for a moment, before saying, “Misaki was sparse with the details, she said it wouldn’t be a fair test if we knew everything beforehand.”

“Fair enough, makes it like a normal run then. Anything she did say?”

“It will be a maze floor. From the sound of it, I don’t think we will have to worry about harpies.”

Eri grinned, “Wonderful, I hate dealing with them, give me a proper grounded foe.”

Kei giggled, “Have a problem with flying ones?”

Amy chuckled, but shared the feeling. The harpies were probably Misaki’s most dangerous monsters. Sure they cked the raw power of some of her other monsters, like the dragon sisters, or her mia demons but their aerial mobility more than made up for it. Harpies couldn’t wield bows thankfully, but they could still cast magic. In addition, there was plenty of bad footing on the floors where they did appear. Making it difficult to fight them, one wrong step and you were in for a hard fall.

Mira, having drawn closer, suddenly interjected, “So are we going in together, or separately?”

“Separately, I think, it will be instanced anyway. We can link up at the next safe zone and compare notes.”

“Sounds good, I’ve already worked out my formation, you?”

“Nothing fancy, Kei will be on point, her skills as a scout will be vital. I’ll have Mara and Tammy a step behind in case a monster shows up, and Eri will be protecting our rear.” She fingered her bow, “I can cover both sides pretty well in the center, and Aidera’s a mage, so she’ll be with me.”

“Sounds pretty good,” Mira shifted her stance, “I’m better suited to being on point so in our group, I’ll take the lead position with Michelle a step behind. We don’t have the members for a rear guard, so I’ll be counting on Reia to pull double duty, we can’t let someone sneak up on us and take out Delih, she’s our support and healer afterall.”

“Sounds decent,” she replied while internally agreeing with the sentiment. While having a healer wasn’t really required, the boons they offered to a party were innumerable. Sure you could make do by having a supply of potions and a first aid kit in every bag. Hell, the beginner's guide to adventuring recommended you carry such a set at all times, even with a party healer. What a healer truly brought to a party was magical healing, and knowledge, allowing a party to keep on its feet, when it might otherwise be forced to turn back. They were perhaps one of the most vital members to a proper dungeon diving party. Amy had invited Aidera to come along for precisely that reason, her presence might be the difference between success and failure.

“Well good luck, we are heading in first.”

“Good luck to you as well,” replied Amy automatically, as the other group proceeded down the stairs to the sixth floor.

After a minute she followed them down, but of course, they were nowhere to be seen. A weird feeling passed over her, as she felt their group shift into a new instance, she wasn’t going to see Mira until they reached a safe zone, or retired for the day. Amy took a moment to look around, they were in a pseudo safe area, it was a round room with several alcoves around the side, and curtains on rods represented the only concession towards privacy. The alcoves were small rooms featuring a low bed, and a trunk. Amy took a moment to study the walls, they were well-made, constructed from tightly fitted stone bricks, lewd murals brought a spot of color to the walls, while a lovely rug of demonic silk covered the floor. It actually looked like a nice area to take a breather and rest after fighting Reifa. Her party however was in tip top shape, they’d been allowed here without a battle, so they were fully geared and ready to delve into the unknown.

She turned to Tammy, who held her sword in a ready position, “Ready to see what challenges await?”

The girl nodded, “About as well as can be.”

Amy gnced at the others, but all they gave were looks of determination. The party was ready to proceed, so she turned to their scout, “Okay Kei, you’re on point lead the way.”

The girl giggled, “Sure thing boss!” While moving towards the only door, a double door made of reinforced wood and iron.

Kei shifted the lock, and the doors swung open to reveal the dimly lit corridor behind. Not a torch, or magical stone was in sight, yet a dim light seemed to fill the space. It was as if the walls themselves were glowing, but that didn’t seem right, they were made of a dark stone, almost bck in color. Like the room they just left, the construction was impressive, tightly fitted perfectly cut stones with not one bit of mortar out of pce. In fact she couldn’t see any mortar at all. Cautiously the group proceeded wary of any traps, or monsters that may be lurking in the darkness.

It wasn’t long before Kei put a hand up, signaling a halt, then she moved forward more slowly, probing for something. Amy figured she had found a trap, and she was proven right a minute ter when Kei deliberately triggered it, and the floor gave way to reveal a pitfall, leaving only narrow ledges on the left and right sides of the passage for the group to use.

Amy slowly approached, dropping to the floor into a crawl before peering over the edge. It was deep, easily more than a two story building, perhaps ten meters? Maybe more. Not enough to preclude seeing the bottom, especially not after dropping a spare torch down there. What the light of the torch revealed was a series of gleaming spikes, and movement.

Kei commented, “Slimes, and spikes, nasty.”

  She gulped, “Agreed.”

Pulling herself up, she signaled to the group, before sending Kei and Tammy ahead. The pair each took a ledge, and carefully began to cross. While they did that, Amy held her bow at the ready, an arrow in hand to provide support should a monster appear while they were making the crossing. Now would prove ill-timing for that, but despite her fears, no monster appeared. Giving them the time to cross the pit.

Once the group was on the other side, they resumed their movement. The dim passage soon gave way to a fork, two paths before them. Amy gnced at them both, but there were no hints as to which one would prove better. After a moment's thought, she gestured to the left, “Let’s try the left path first.”

No one voiced a different opinion, and the group proceeded down the left. Maintaining the same cautious pace they’d used since they started this little jaunt. Kei found several more traps, safely triggering them all as they proceeded, but with each passing moment, Amy grew more worried at the ck of monsters.

After taking their forth turn the group came to a halt. Ahead of them was the first monster, or well, monsters they had seen on this trip. Two rge figures wielding axes blocked their way. They were distinctly female, and completely naked. They had hooved feet, and fur covered their legs up to their thighs like a long pair of socks. Legs that were thick with muscle, yet not too much to be ugly, a trend that followed with the rest of their bodies. Amy however couldn’t help staring at their chests for a moment, both girls had huge bosoms easily rger than their heads. Neither had horns, but the distinctive ears, and the hooves had given away their race, these were minotaurs. She used Analyze, but couldn’t get skills or traits.

Amy was just giving the signals for her formations when Eri alerted her to a new threat, and she looked back to see a third minotaur, only this one had horns and the biggest dick she’d ever seen swinging between its legs. She gulped, things were going to be interesting.

Katil blinked twice as she beheld the body before her. After a tour of the nurseries, and a lesson on the Syresh, Mistress Silia had taken her here. It was finally time to see what her finished form had become. She didn’t look the same, but that was to be expected, the first change she noticed were the wings, two fleshy growths of dark flesh that spread wide from her back and tipped with thorny barbs. By far that wasn’t the only change, her hands and feet ended with sharp cws, and three long tails extended from her rear each ending in a short bulb. Her gaze however fell on her breasts and genitalia.

Where before her boobs had been firmly attached to her chest, that was no longer the case, instead they hung on the end of a tentacle that loosely hung from her chest, where boobs would have been before. It reminded her of the Syresh in a way. The presence of four barbs hanging loosely at the base of the two tentacles didn’t escape her notice either, nor did the four short barbed tentacles on either side of her pussy.

Silia smiled beside her, “So what do you think?”

“Um, you went all out didn’t you, I’m not a run-of-the-mill footsoldier am I?”

“Naturally not, but before I expin, what did your Mistress tell you of Abyssal ranks?”

“Abyssals are like mortals divided into tiers, but they have different ones. The first Abyssal tier is the Lesser Tier. All Abyysals in the mortal pne are of this tier and can be further divided into several ranks, first rank; Peon, Second rank; Foot Soldier, third rank; Corrupted Knight, and fourth rank; Baroness. “Above them are the upper or Noble Abyssals with ranks named accordingly. Countess, Viscountess, Marquess and the like. No Abyssal of this tier can escape the binds of the Abyss to emerge here on this pne, but sometimes they can be born in the mortal pne if the proper preparations are made.”

“You seem to have a fair grasp, but what comes after?”

“The Royal tier, and the divine tier. In the Royal tier, you have Duchess, Lordess, Queen, and Sovereign ranked Abyssals, and among the divines, you have the Fallen Celestials, Fallen Goddesses, and at the very top, the Fallen God of the Abyss.”

“Very good, I’d say you paid attention in css. Now what’s the highest rank to ever appear in the mortal pnes?”

“If I recall correctly, the Mistresses once managed to raise a Lordess from the egg of a royal dragon.”

“Correct, only high-tier creatures like dragons can be raised into true Royals.”

Katil blinked, “Wait don’t tell me, you want me to get a dragon egg?”

“Find one perhaps, we will need a royal sooner or ter, for now we need nobles.”

“I see, so what am I?”

“A Corrupted Knight, second only to Mistresses like me.”

Katilia smiled, that sounded like a high honor indeed.

“So what would you have me do, Mistress?”

Milith watched the street below. In the distance, she could see Arrieta. The young half-breed was following up on her promise to the boy Darrel and his sisters Emilia and Kelly. The small little group they made wasn’t hard to make out, not for her. The boy and his sisters were joined by their two daughters, whose names Milith never caught, along with young Xiri, and Miri. Arrieta had wanted to leave both Xiri and Miri here at the grand temple, but the two girls insisted. So they had gone along for the trip.

As they disappeared into a building, Milith stretched, then turned to the sky. It was about time she got going as well. There was little point staying here for any longer, not when there were Abyssals that needed dealing with. The problems she’d seen at the church could wait, they were bad enough, but the Abyssal thing couldn’t be ignored.
