Chapter 165: Laughing Fart King, In Her Spotlight

Hannah was completely stunned by Marian’s swift and decisive repayment!

Although Marian had promised the day before to repay the loan in one lump sum, Hannah never expected this often unreliable housemate, who was always full of empty promises, to follow through so quickly and decisively.

Unable to resist, Hannah teased Marian, saying that she finally resembled a proper rich young dy. However, Marian only snorted coldly and walked off, leaving Hannah bewildered and flustered—this "bragger" really had some guts!

Marian thought to herself, "A rich young dy? I’m not that anymore!"

Now, she was the daughter of a financial magnate!

With the money she had earned through Hera’s help, Marian’s first priority was to repay the favour to Xanthia, who had once taken her around and shown her a good time.

Xanthia had treated her to a completely carefree and enjoyable experience, and Marian was not the type to be petty. She pnned to spend generously and ensure that Xanthia could experience the same carefree joy.

Marian saw a lot of potential in Xanthia, despite her modest background—she was from an ordinary, middle-css familia, just like Marian. What drew Marian to Xanthia was her big-hearted and outgoing nature, which made her enjoy spending time with her, seeking nothing but fun.

Since Xanthia had brought her happiness, Marian was determined to return the favour.

She felt no pressure spending money she had borrowed—after all, she had borrowed it through her own means, so she could spend it however she liked, with no thoughts of repayment.

If Hera knew that the money she lent out was ultimately being enjoyed by Xanthia, the person she couldn’t stand, she would likely be furious.

It just so happened that Marian was the type of person who liked to post about everything on social media. She and Hera were friends on these ptforms, so Hera would soon notice hints of what was going on from her posts.

  ...

The next morning, Xanthia entered the high school Year 1 Css 3 cssroom, where the little episode involving Marian had already passed without a trace. She noticed no strange changes.

As she walked from the front door of the cssroom, heading towards her seat in the northeast corner of the fourth group, she instinctively gnced at the students.

Immediately, she spotted Matthew and Hera—the two "kings" who hadn’t been at school the previous day—had already returned to their pces.

Xanthia was somewhat pleased to see them back. She always felt that if these two were absent, Css 1-3 would lose much of its vitality and fun.

Both Hera and the transfer student Matthew were, in her opinion, excellent sources of "pain points."

Because they were so thick-skinned, with strong mental fortitude and endurance, they were ideal targets for pranking. They could handle any amount of mischief without breaking, unlike some other students who, after being pranked once, would be so embarrassed they’d retreat into themselves, effectively losing their edge.

Hera and Matthew, however, were bold and unashamed, making them very satisfying to prank.

Xanthia didn’t believe that spraying Matthew in the cssroom once could fully pay for his past misdeeds. Simirly, she didn’t think that Hera, despite pying along with the "Poop King" in the cssroom, could avoid more criticism for her role in the mess.

Other csses in the school knew only of the "Poop King" and his infamous exploits but were unaware of the "Laughing Fart King," who was just as noteworthy.

This hardly seemed fair—how could Matthew be the only one to shine in this scenario, when both were kings?

After returning to her seat, Xanthia, ever the careful pnner, immediately flipped through her "malicious notebook" to check for any potential schemes against her.

As expected, there were no new threats. However, the name of Matthew’s cousin, Andrea Tan, had appeared in the notebook.

Clearly, Andrea harboured resentment towards Xanthia after the incident at Dionysius’s private birthday party. Having lost face and accumuted "pain points" herself, she now carried some ill will.

The addition of Andrea’s name didn’t bother Xanthia; in fact, it pleased her. With her current ability to protect herself, she preferred the more "painful" people to appear on her list.

Unfortunately, Andrea attended a different school, so Xanthia’s reach was limited.

Speaking of which, Xanthia was quite interested in the Foreign Language High School. She was sure there would be an opportunity to visit in the future.

The school often held events simir to those in anime, called "Carnivals," where they invited celebrities to attract crowds and promote the school. It was a fun, lively atmosphere, particurly when it coincided with the spring season and cherry blossoms were in bloom.

Attending one of these carnivals was an enjoyable experience, almost like visiting a convention. Unlike school festivals, however, the event took pce in the spring, during cherry blossom season.

Aside from Andrea’s name, Xanthia noticed that the boy who liked to ftter Miss Seranthalia, Rommel El Fmei, wasn’t on the list, which she found regrettable.

She thought that Andrea and Rommel might be a good match—just as Matthew and Hera were well-suited.

Matthew loved to py the "domineering CEO" role, but only Hera could keep up with him, responding in kind. This was a perfect match, in Xanthia’s eyes.

At this moment, both Hera and Matthew noticed Xanthia returning to her seat. Their gazes toward her were complicated.

Xanthia, dressed in a standard school uniform with pin-coloured sports trousers and shoes of questionable origin, presented an image of a "poverty-stricken beauty," an odd visual that didn’t quite align with her deeds.

Having been humiliated by her many times, Hera now saw Xanthia’s delicate, seemingly vulnerable appearance as a baiting strategy.

Hera, though still proud, no longer dared to indulge in plotting against Xanthia as she once did. After reading a few novels where the poor delicate women favored by plots, she had concluded that Xanthia was currently experiencing a streak of good plot devices.

Hera believed she needed to gather more tricks and pieces before finally attacking, draining Xanthia’s luck, and then orchestrating her grandest, most fwless scheme yet!

Hera fancied herself a grand strategist. She had been enraged when Matthew revealed that she was the mastermind behind the rger plot. How dare he spoil her game?

If only Matthew had kept quiet, everything would have been fine. But no, he had ruined her pns—he deserved to eat crap!

Thankfully, their dramatic battle had been so eye-catching that most people had forgotten their thoroughly botched conspiracy. After all, a "poop fight" was far more entertaining than any failed plot.

Time passed quickly, and soon the first two lessons of Monday morning were over. It was finally time for the weekly fg-raising ceremony.

The process was standard—each css formed their own group, marched to the fgpole, fist on chests, and sang the national anthem. After many repetitions, most students had grown numb to the ceremony.

However, today’s speech under the fg brought a refreshing change.

For once, the speech wasn’t given by a top student, but by the two "kings" from Css 1-3 who had been publicly reprimanded the day before.

Before Hera and Matthew took the stage to offer their apologies, the head of the Discipline Office, Dublin, delivered a stern speech, emphasising the importance of school rules.

His speech was powerful and delivered with utmost seriousness, silencing all the students in the various formations. If it hadn’t been for Css 1-3’s strange students, Dublin’s authority would have remained untarnished!

That said, even if his authority had been shaken by Css 1-3, he could still impose discipline on other csses. "If I can’t control Css 1-3, I can at least control the rest of you!"

While Dublin spoke with authority, Hercuno, who was preparing to discuss the cafeteria reform pn, couldn’t help but smile in satisfaction.

Regardless of the situation, Dublin was Hercuno’s trusted ally, and the principal was very pleased with his performance.

Once Dublin finished his speech, it was time for Hera and Matthew to take the stage for their public apology.

First up was Hera, who, much to her delight, was finally stepping into the spotlight in front of the entire school. Instead of feeling ashamed, she relished the attention.

This was exactly the kind of spotlight she enjoyed. She had been envious of Xanthia for gaining attention through quirky outfits, but now, she didn’t need any eccentric clothes. Just a small apology, and she could bask in the limelight.

However, most students were not particurly interested in Hera. After all, she was just the backdrop to the true hero, the "Poop King."

  Many students were thinking:

"This girl doesn’t deserve to be up there with the ‘Poop King.’ Hurry up and finish your speech so we can hear more from the real hero!"

"Who is she again? Oh right, ‘Laughing Fart King’—what a ridiculous nickname. It’s nothing compared to the Poop King…"

"Looks like they needed a sidekick before the real action starts. I’m just here to hear the Poop King share his experiences!"

Hera had no idea how she was being perceived by her peers, and if she did, it would certainly infuriate her to be treated as a mere background figure.

She thought that, in the "battle" between the two of them, she was actually the one in control. After all, when it came to the quantity of crap eaten, Matthew had consumed more—thanks to her own efforts.

"Esteemed leaders, teachers, and fellow students, I deeply regret and humbly present this apology to express my remorse for vioting the school rules…"

As Hera began her speech, a silent fart escaped.

No longer could she bme the mild-mannered small bugs; this was entirely her own doing.

Unfortunately for everyone nearby—Matthew, Dublin, Hercuno, and the four fg bearers—they all experienced the unpleasant smell.

The thought of others suffering from her fart amused Hera immensely, and she couldn’t help but ugh as she continued her speech, gasping for air between fits of giggles.

The solemn atmosphere that Dublin had so carefully cultivated evaporated instantly.
