It seems ironic that the gods would bless me with an eidetic memory, but only after stripping out most of my personal history. I can remember formulas from a physics class 35 years ago, but not my own name or the face of my mother. No bets on whether the gods think I’ll need some of the formal knowledge from my past life!
Pattern Recognition also seems likely to be helpful in figuring out whatever it is I’m supposed to be working on. But Good with Kids? Who brings kids to a dungeon? And why would I need to be good with them? None of this seems random, but the significance of this one escapes me.
The titles, though. Sanctioned by the Gods really concerns me; Is that sanctioned as in blessed or okayed, or sanctioned as in penalized. I can see it going either way...
The titles confirm some things, but I could surely use some additional details.
[Details]
And with that, some added text is provided for the titles.
*Seriously! On the last page, after working through all that, NOW I get some added details? This User Interface sucks! Another deep, calming, nonexistent breath. Serenity Now. *
From Another World – Rare title given to those souls who have been transported from another world to Relnis, The Prime Lands
Sanctioned by the Gods – Rare title given to dungeons that have been specifically placed by a deity or deities to fulfill a specific function.
General Scholar - Uncommon title given to beings that have devoted a substantial portion of their lifespan to the pursuit of a broad range of knowledge.
Xenoarchaeologist - Unique title given to a scholar devoted to understanding the material culture and history of past societies wholly unrelated to their own.
Naturalist – Uncommon title given to beings with a particular interest in studying the biota of the world.
Well, some interesting stuff there, if not really informative about what function titles serve. At least I got the name of the world I’m on, and some obvious verification that it’s not Earth. It does suggest that I’m not the only transmigrator out there or the only dungeon created deliberately by the gods. I guess systematic archaeology isn’t really a thing here; though I’d guess there’s plenty of treasure hunting and the focus on lore suggests some focus on historical knowledge. Or maybe I’m overthinking it and archaeology IS a thing, but the whole archaeologist from another world is new and different. That seems to make more sense; people have always been interested in the remains of past cultures even if only as legends and visible ruins.

Well, that’s... that’s a lot. It looks like I got starter quests, not just for my class and my divine mission, but for most of my titles. And most of them look like the start of quest chains. Some of those are clearly higher priority than others. Clearly, first up is finding the surface; I’m not ready to give up on my new existence just yet! The dungeon quests in general look like they need to get done first, and the rest will come with time or not at all.
That divine mission is basically taunting me with my redacted memory. Why task me with a presumably important job, then make me forget what it is? Some weird non-interference policy? Some pretense of concern for free will? A bet between divinities? Just for shits and giggles? It would help to know what kind of gods I’m dealing with here. Well, it can take a back burner, at least, I assume.

So, I have access to the “creation blueprints” of anything currently residing within my zone of control. Presumably this was all assimilated before I was fully conscious. Clearly, I can get new blueprints through quests or through assimilating things as I expand. It remains to be seen whether I can assimilate larger creatures as they traverse my dungeon space. Or perhaps assimilating new organisms requires something more permanent. My background hunger flared momentarily at the thought.
