The heavenly magician leaned his body towards him and focused on what the man would say, he had to finish it quickly and start improving his skills in preparation for the desired day.
The couple were a bit nervous in the presence of Maximus, who made breathing difficult, so he could not catch up with the talk.
'The message was unclear, rather intermittent and its meanings are incomplete. It said like this: your destiny is predetermined and the result is success......... The light is approaching and with it too is darkness......... Power always has a price, and the higher you are, the stronger the fall......... Fear is a feeling that only possesses the winners.........'
'Is that all?'
The man nodded his head and pointed in the affirmative, and Maximus turned to the wife to listen to what she had too.
'It's okay, it's okay. And what do you have, lady?'
'Something similar to what my husband said, the letter was also intermittent except that its content was as follows:......... It does not mean that if it is predetermined there is no need to prepare......... Do not follow either of them and create your own path......... Whether you are going to tolerate it or not, it does not matter to us......... Your enemy is not afraid, because he has nothing to lose.'
Maximus stared at the ceiling and thought about the content of the letter. It was only a series of warnings to emphasize the danger coming from afar, from another dimension beyond the borders of this world. He thought something was missing, a key piece of information that was not mentioned in the letter.
It was the result of his years of experience, reading between the lines and perceiving the meanings of what has emerged from them and what is inside.
'Isn't there anything else? Any detail will do. Focus well and remember any unfamiliar things.'
The man hesitated to answer but eventually answered, it was not anything physical that caught his attention. It was a collection of strange symbols from an unknown language, an alien language to the people of this world.
'Speaking of it, there were some strange symbols at the bottom of the message. Will it work?'
'I also glimpsed something similar to that.'
Maximus hurriedly got up from his seat in a state of joy, he found what he was looking for and all that remained was to know the connotations of these symbols.
'Take this and write down those symbols or draw them or whatever.'
He gave each a pencil and paper and sat down again waiting for the two to finish.
Maximus was able to understand strange symbols even though he did not know the language, and even the book did not recognize the language used in writing. It raised curiosity in the soul of the heavenly magician.
Δεαδ ?αφε - φοοδ ι??κ
{Dead Mage – Good luck}
[Are you sure you read the script correctly? who is the sender?]
'If I had known, I would answer you; I'm in the same position of confusion.'
Maximus thought carefully about an explanation for this addition in the end. He took the two papers and flipped them over, flipped one of them and tried to rearrange the letters in the hope that it would find a different meaning.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
After many failed attempts and in a certain order, he was able to understand what was written.
Δα?φεκ ??δε – ιοοδ
The last two witnesses – the end.
.........
The pieces of the last letter came together and Maximus will not receive any foreign aid or warnings from now on, he must create his own path based on the information he had from his past and current life.
"Your destiny is predetermined and the result is success, it doesn't mean that if it's predetermined there is no need to prepare... The light is approaching and with it too the darkness, do not follow either of them and create your own path... Power always has a price, the higher you are, the stronger the fall, whether you will bear it or not, it does not concern us... Fear is a feeling that only possesses the winners, your enemy is not afraid because he has nothing to lose. {Dead Mage – Good luck}. {The Last Two Witnesses - The End}."
The heavenly magician decided that he would postpone thinking about this message until later when his mind will be clear and it was easy for him to see and perceive the subtleties.
'Thank you for your help, I'll take you to your home and reward you. Are you ready?'
The husband looked at his wife for a moment and then nodded in agreement, Maximus asked them to approach and immediately transfer them to their home. How did he know where they lived? He examined their memories for a moment.
He took out his dimensional storage and gave the husband ten gold coins, the reward originally was five gold coins but they were two people together.
'Have fun the rest of your life and don't get yourself into trouble.'
'Thank you, sir. Good day for you too.'
Maximus moved now towards the bloody gate after completing all his stuck work.
It was this gate that initiated his story when he first entered it six years ago. He was just a sixth-circle magician, an enthusiast of learning and research but it was not everything for him, until he ended up in front of this gate suddenly without warning. He refused to go to another world at first but he had no way to be able to return home. He and seven other people entered the unknown alone, each seeking to develop himself in his own ways and making a name for himself as a product of adventures and heroism over the years they spent in that strange world.
'Here we are again. I have been through a lot because of this portal and here I am because of it again. What a joke!!'
The emotions were mixed between sadness and anger, between annoyance and admiration, but he was thankful for the adventure he lived through, which brought him here in the first place.
Maximus approached the gate and stared at it with empty glances, as if he could see something far away inside the gate. He reached out and touched the gate; the feeling of touching it was indeed strange, as it was similar to the feeling of touching glass while touching water. The Heavenly Magician gathered his thoughts one last time before crossing to the other side.
'Regret is what got me to where I am now, I used to regret my choices even if I chose the second best option. I had the opportunity to choose the best but I missed it. I realized that not everyone can be saved even if I try.'
[Not everyone can be saved, even at best; you have to give up that belief. It is the biggest obstacle that is limiting you now. Sometimes giving up is the best option.]
He took out his hand that was inside the gate; the gate was disturbed like water in a bucket and calmed down shortly after.
'I never wanted to be a hero, but now, I'm in front of you as a hero. Giving up is a good idea, so I will give up my regret and move forward without thinking about the past. I will not cry over the spilled water but I will cherish the water that remains. The loss will compensated one way or another. My goal is in front of me and I won't go back.'
Maximus entered the gate after removing the remaining worries that had weighed on him until this moment; he was never alone in his quest to save the world: students, teacher, friends, colleagues and others. He has abandoned the idea that the burden of the world is on his own shoulders.
He will not walk this path alone in the future, he will light the way and others will carry the torch of the future.
'I will achieve the desired destiny and protect the future of the world. Did you hear me, world?'
Pure white energy spread like a wave that covered the whole world, the good and the weak felt relieved, while the enemies felt resentment.
The heavenly magician was reborn aiming to create his own path and build his own future in this chaotic world...
