First Quest: Just Kill the Boss?!

  Inside the Academy Dorms

Jin dropped his spoon mid-bite. “Wait, WHAT?!”

Arin stared at the holographic alert blinking above her device.

Player Kyle has entered the Hell Path

Her face drained of color. “That idiot actually did it…”

  Inside the Instructor’s Room

One of the instructors choked on his tea. “The classless kid?! That Kyle?!”

Another instructor rubbed his forehead. “I said he was special… not suicidal!”

Tower Administration Realm – Chaos Central

Stacks of paperwork erupted across divine desks. One low-level god screamed, “He skipped the Easy! The Medium! The Hard! Straight to Hell! WHO DOES THAT?!”

  “He’s classless!” another god shouted.

  “THAT’S NOT AN EXCUSE!”

Even the coffee machine at the corner exploded under the pressure of divine panic.

Somewhere Above – A Supreme Realm

Vishnu sipped his glowing tea slowly.

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

Brahma just muttered, “Why do mortals never read the signs…”

  Kyle stirred.

  Eyes fluttered open.

The sky above him was… wrong. A swirling mass of void energy and dying stars.

He groaned and sat up, brushing off black dust.

[Welcome to Hell Difficulty: Floor 1]

Please read the system instructions carefully. This is not like any normal dungeon.

Kyle blinked at the glowing blue interface.

  “Instructions, huh?”

He looked at the wall of text.

Lines of survival protocol, item crafting rules, the consequences of death, abnormal time flow...

“Yeah, yeah… TL;DR.” He skipped it with a casual swipe.

  [Notice: System tutorial skipped]

  You may regret this.

Kyle paused. “...Why did that sound personal?”

[Main Quest: Floor 1 – Slay the Guardian]

  Objective: Defeat the Floor Guardian

  Time Limit: None

  Monsters: None

  Survival Items: None

  Reward: Access to Floor 2 | ???

  Kyle stared.

  Then blinked.

“…Wait. That’s it? No mobs? No warm-up quests? No supplies?”

  Just kill the boss.

  “…ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!”

A group of low-level gods sat on divine beanbags watching the live feed like it was a reality show.

One sipped popcorn-flavored ambrosia. “He skipped the tutorial…”

Another laughed. “He has no idea what that Guardian is, does he?”

“Bet 10 divine coins he panics the second it roars.”

  “Deal.”

Kyle trudged through the barren, lifeless terrain of Floor 1. Black, cracked ground stretched endlessly, broken only by jagged rocks and faint red light bleeding from under the surface.

  Then he saw it.

A black temple stood in the distance, shaped like a crown tipped in blades.

As he approached, heavy pressure fell on him like a crashing wave. His body shivered involuntarily.

Warning: You have entered the Guardian’s domain. Prepare for combat.

The massive stone gate creaked open.

  Kyle muttered, “No turning back…”

Then, with sword drawn, he stepped inside.
