Transformation

The moment I finished reading the paragraph, the paper burst into flames in my hands. Fire raced across my skin, searing flesh, peeling it away in molten strips. I could feel myself unravelling, becoming something else—something far from human. An entity of horrors, they might call me. If some of them lived long enough to speak of it.

My skin sloughed off in ragged pieces. Flesh and muscle fibres fell like severed strands of hair, littering the ground around me. Yet somehow, impossibly, my hair remained untouched—thick and whole, as if mocking the ruin of the rest of me.

I was taller now. My forearms twisted grotesquely, four elongated bones spiralling from elbow to fingertip, fusing together at the base.

My ribcage still caged my heart and lungs, though other parts of me had simply… vanished. The remnants of my human anatomy lingered, a cruel joke.

If I had to describe myself, I’d say I looked like a cheap imitation of General Grievous warped, wrong, and infinitely more unsettling. At least I still had my damn hair. Small mercies.

Can’t complain too much tough, seriously thought I was a goner there for a sec, but I guess being gift-wrapped as a skeleton with hair is better than a dead skeleton with creepy-ass book.

I Walked out the cave and it was night now. It was more beautiful than the sights from before. Like the northern lights on steroids... streaks of colourful light dancing around the creamy blue night sphere.

what a blessed day, but horrifying day. While I was stargazing at the sights and getting mesmerized by the constant changing of the skies.

I could not help but to wonder how the beings saved us and protected us against the infected animals.

The howling screams of animals that were getting corrupted and the sights of their horrid transformations has had me in a chokehold of silence.

The angels had said “The presence disturbs them and thus they transform, the fickle beings.” what Prescence where they talking about? Was it their own? And if it was then why did it not happened to us?

As they took everyone from our worlds and combined the worlds into one world. I can’t begin to think why they are doing this?. Are they trying to use us for their needs. I know one thing and that is that gifts are rarely given without the sentiment of “thank you’s”

I expect it is going to be a very heavy “thank you” filled with “your kind belongs to us now.” Like the transatlantic slave trade, but with worlds filled with different people, other races and worlds.

I really do not want to people colonized. Is it colonization if it’s a race of pretty space angels, who really.. realllly want to help us from the bottom of their kind hearts, then who are we to say no?

Am I right or am I right?
