Master of Seduccubus Disguise

In Devillia's chamber, large arched windows overlooked the lake, vast bookshelves contained all kinds of human stories and there was a queen-sized bed large enough to support an Underkind in her entirety. Lord Daemon ensured that his not-so-little demonic princess was well pampered.

He had taken her to her room to test her one ability that would ensure she would be up to the task.

She was part seduccubus and could transform into many ideal faces, including ones that were more human in essence than her icy flesh.

"Ok, my darkling," Daemon said with a wide smile. "Give me your best impression!"

Devillia turned her back on her father. "Hmm, there's so many styles to choose from in a fantasy world…"

She spun around, and her face was covered in white warpaint. Her icy pink skin was now a crimson tan and long purple hair withdrew into a silvery white and dirty brown bob. She wore a tribal warriors garb with a midriff and a leather crop top. Her ears were as long and pointed as the bow and arrow she stretched in her hands.

“Ta-da!” she exclaimed. “A War-elf from the Crystal Grove."

The demon lord shook his head. "I'm afraid that would draw too much attention. Those ears…tend to stick out!"

Devillia twirled around again. This time, her face was dark and she was draped in a white robe that covered her whole body from head to toe. She carried a leather bible with a Dawnstar marking and a ruler!

Devillia winked. "If anyone asks who I am, I can say, Nun-ya business!"

The demon lord shook his head again. "I'm afraid a chaste woman of faith would have no reason to visit an apothecary. How about something more suitable to your actual self, my darkling."

Devillia placed a finger to her chin. Her eyes gleamed with ideas. With one last spin, she appeared as a young dark haired woman, dressed in a black but cute sundress, patterned with her signature heart shaped skulls.

The demon lord applauded his daughter. "That's much better. Scary but cute is exactly your aesthetic. Now…tell me. What is your human name?"

Devillia thought to herself. "Hmm. How about Lyla!"

  "Lyla?" Daemon asked.

"Because!" Devillia said. "That's not really who I am. Otherwise my name would be Truth-la!"

The demon lord chuckled. His daughter was always such a ditz but that's what made her like her mother, the Queen of Seduccubi. Oh how he missed her.

"Now then," he said, placing his cold hands on 'Lyla's' bare shoulders. "This mission is essential. With this vital ingredient, I can heal from my wounds. You do want that don't you?"

"Yes father," Devillia said with a nod.

"You are to enter the city, make no contact with anyone except our secret apothecary. Retrieve the Death Blood from her."

Devillia nodded again and gave a sweet grin.

He clutched the disembodied demon eye. "You are to use the port-eye to transport yourself into the forest. Make sure no one sees you or follows you."

"But what if they do?" Devillia asked with a nervous smile.

"Kill them," the demon lord said with no remorse. "Lead them into the forest and dispose of them. No one must know of your mission."

The demon girl began to fidget nervously.

As much as she loved the concept of an honorable sacrifice, she didn't actually want to be the one doing the actual killing.

Daemon smiled and wrapped his long pink fingers around her shoulders. "Hopefully, it won't come to that. Just know that your mother would be so proud of you… going on a mission to help your dear father."

Devillia nodded again. She forced a smile.

She cast the port-eye forward and a crimson eye split the fabric of space like a slit. Its golden iris swirled endlessly–a portal to anywhere she wanted to go in the kingdom.

She imagined the forest grove just outside the castle gates of Featherbottom and stepped in.

She bid her father farewell. She hoped that it wouldn't be long before he saw her again.

This would be a difficult mission and her first in a world she had never explored before. To avoid killing, she would make sure she performed it without attracting any attention. Otherwise, there'd be dire consequences.
