The Two men flew with the unconscious bodies of Forte and Deniz. Moving at a fast speed they eventually reached a sanctuary. The sanctuary was huge and they had people everywhere. It looked like an extremely large city. Above the sanctuary was an illusory sign, it was the name of the sanctuary and read Sanctuary of Devotion.
Normal people wouldn't be able to see the illusory sign. You were only able to see it if you were able to utilize synergy.
Soon the two men reached a building that was at the center of the sanctuary. This building was huge and seems to be capital of the sanctuary. They flew to the entrance and met the guards that were there. The guards seemed to have known the identity of the two men and didn't hesitate to let them inside. They noticed the bodies of Deniz and Forte but didn't say anything or have any expression. They seemed to not know who they were.
When the two men walked in, they were greeted by multiple people. The inside of the building was larger than one would expect. The scenery in the inside looked as if the building belonged to someone of a high rank, like a King or a Queen. The men kept walking and reached a room that was guarded by 2 people.
They looked with shocked expressions on their faces. Although not many people knew, these two people knew the identity of the unconscious woman. Though they didn't know the identity of the young boy with the woman, they assumed he was also important.
They immediately let the men in and they entered the room. The room they entered was fairly large but it didn't have much objects in it. At the end of the room was a person on a throne that was atop a series of steps. They were next to 2 lit fires with two people on each side of them holding swords.
The two men walked towards the shadowy figure on the throne until they reached the beginning of the steps. They knelt and bowed their heads. To have two people in the second awakening bowing their heads and kneeling means you were above them. There weren't too many people in the sanctuary above them so that means only one thing.
The fact that they treated this person with nobility as if they were a king meant this person were one of them. This shadowy figure on the throne was one of the Seven Suns. One of the strongest people in the world. One of the few known people to have reached the fourth awakening.
"We managed to bring her back although unconscious, but she is alive. The young boy we have here is her son. Before we captured her, the boy used an ability. The aura erupting from him and the ability he used showcased that he has good potential. If needed he can be used as a weapon or a cog if we brainwash him. If you don't agree then we will dispose of him instantly". This was said by the blonde man who had fought Forte and blew up her right hand.
"We can keep him and see how useful he can become. Thank you for bringing her back alive. You can leave the bodies here, I have great use for them,”said the shadowy figure on the throne. The voice was deep and noble as it echoed throughout the room. The two men placed Forte and Deniz on the ground and walked out of the room.
Meanwhile in another sanctuary...
Rhosa and Rhitta vision was returning back to normal after they entered the portal. When their vision became focused, they seen their arms being held by a woman.
"Rhitta, Rhosa, welcome,” said the woman with a bright smile.
"My name is Aniya, and your mother put me in charge to protect you. There is a lot I have to tell you that your mother may or may not have told you before. Nevertheless, you two really need to eat and rest because you had a long day,” said softly by Aniya.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
Aniya was a beautiful woman who looked as if she was in her late twenties. She had long soft turquoise hair that went down to her back with bright blue eyes that matched the color of her hair. She was pretty tall and seemed very fit with light-colored skin. She had on a long black dress as if she came from a wedding or a ball.
She got up and stood both Rhosa and Rhitta up. She led them to a room with a very large bed in the middle of the room against the wall. The room also had chairs set up with a table in one corner and a couch in the corner next to the bed. She walked and set them in the chairs to prepare to bring them food.
"I have soup cooked for the both of you and I also have tea if you would like,” said Aniya. Rhitta and Rhosa both nodded their head. Aniya walked out the room to get the soup and tea for them.
Both Rhitta and Rhosa sat in silence with sad faces. They were silent and witnessed something traumatizing. Something that was engraved into their minds, likely for the rest of their life. They witnessed things beyond their comprehension and possibly the death of their mother.
"D-did we lose our mom and our brother!?" said Rhitta in a soft and shaky voice. She had tears in her eyes and couldn't control them from flowing down her cheeks. Images of what happened appeared in her and replayed over and over again. The scenes of her mother losing her hand, the scene of blood on her face and her maniacal expression. This was her first time seeing her mother with a crazy expression and she was terrified.
Rhosa grabbed Rhitta's head and put it on her chest. In truth, Rhitta truly didn't like what she had seen. The violence and the facial expressions her mother made. She didn't like violence whether it was her participating in it or simply watching. She always thought that things can and should be sorted out logically through words. Violence was never a thing she would resort to unless it was absolutely necessary.
Tears streamed down Rhitta's face as she cried on Rhosa's chest leaving marks on her clothes. She patted Rhitta's head and tried to comfort her.
On the other hand, Rhosa wasn't pacifistic like Rhitta. Although she would never instantly resort to violence unless it was the only way, sometimes you needed violence to get points across. She knew that not everything could be solved peacefully by just talking. However she respected the way that Rhitta was, not everyone was the same and she can respect that, so all she could do was comfort her.
"Everything will be okay, Rhitta. I'm sure they are okay. They wouldn't do anything to a kid and they likely wouldn't kill a mother in front of her own kid. I'm not sure when but one day... one day we will find them". Rhosa said that with a stern and determined look. No matter what, they would try to find them... no matter what.
Aniya was by the door hesitating to come in. She overheard the two girls and listened to the crying. She had the two bowls of soup in her hands and tears streamed down her face.
"Did you truly die Forte? After everything that you've been through and done for your children, did you really die?" Aniya said to herself. She had a close connection with Forte. In her eyes, Forte was essentially her sister. Although they weren't blood related, the connection between them formed a sisterly bond.
She wiped the tears off of her face with the sleeves of her dress and entered the room. Both girls looked towards her as she entered the room. Rhitta's eyes were red due to crying and had streams of tears on her face and Rhosa had a look that was a mix between sad and expressionless.
She sat the soup down with spoons in front of the two girls and walked out. Moments later she came back with two cups of tea and sat them next to the bowls of soups. She smiled at the girls and sat on the bed looking down at her dress.
Just like both Rhitta and Rhosa, she was also sad. Although the connection between her and Forte was not as close as theirs, the feeling of losing Forte still hurt. If it's possible, she will try and get Forte back no matter what. Even if the cost is her own life.
Minutes of silence passed by with the only sound being the girls eating their soup and drinking the tea. Occasionally, Rhitta would sniff due to crying but the silence overtook the room. A feeling of sadness covered the room but Aniya knew that eventually this day would come. Sanctuaries are ruthless but that's the way of the world. She knew that the world was built on power and power was everything. In the end, might is right.
Once the two girls finished the soup and tea, Aniya grabbed the bowls and left the room. Soon after, she came back in the room to retrieve the cups and left again. You were able to hear running water as Aniya cleaned the bowls and cups. Moments later she came back in the room and stood by the door and looked at both Rhitta and Rhosa calmly.
"You girls need some rest. Rest your mind from everything you've been through. A rested mind is good for your mental health,” said Aniya.
The two girls got up from the seats and laid in the bed. The bed was big enough to fit two or maybe three more people in it. Aniya smiled warmly.
She turned off the light and before she walked out the room she spoke...
"Tomorrow I'll tell you both everything that you need to know. Everything," then she left the room.
The loving family is separated from each other. What will happen to Forte and Deniz in the Sanctuary of Devotion!? Meanwhile in the other sanctuary, who truly is Aniya and what is "everything" that she will tell Rhitta and Rhosa!?
