Story 24: The Heart of Whiskers
They were surrounded in seconds.
Dozens of sentient cats—some armored, others ethereal—descended from the floating trees, tails alight with mana and eyes glowing in sacred hues. They did not speak through mouths but minds, thoughts weaving into all three of them at once.
“The Exile has returned.”
“He who betrayed the Covenant.”
“Return the Heart, Myrr.”
Ren stepped between them. “What is this Heart?”
Myrr sighed, his fur oddly dull beneath the alien moonlight.
“It was a fragment of power,” he said. “A piece of the Star Cat’s soul… I stole it to save a dying world.”
He turned to the crowd.
“And I used it... to create you, Ren.”

Story 25: The Trial of the Tail
The cats of the realm, known as the Elder Whiskers, demanded justice. A trial unlike any other was set in the Temple of Floating Fur—a place where the accused's truth played out before all.
Myrr’s memories unfolded in shimmering light:
A realm collapsing into oblivion.
A dying boy begging for another chance.
Myrr, defying divine law, placing the Heart into the boy’s chest.
The birth of Ren the Cat-Bound, first of his kind.
The temple fell silent.
Then, the eldest of the Whiskers, an enormous translucent sphynx named Old Whispurr, declared:
“The punishment is death.”
Sera stepped forward, blades out.
“Then we’ll fight every cat here.”
But Ren raised his hand.
“No… I’ll face this trial.”

Story 26: Duel Beneath the Ninth Moon
Ren’s punishment was not execution—but combat.
Under the light of the Ninth Moon, he was to face the champion of the Elder Whiskers: Clawrix, a divine beast who had never known defeat. A feline titan cloaked in cosmic fur, wielding tail-blades and gravity-bending yowls.
Sera and Myrr watched helplessly as the duel began.
Clawrix attacked like a meteor storm. Ren barely dodged, dancing on pure instinct, the Heart inside him pulsing with ancient heat.
But Clawrix wasn't just a warrior—he was testing Ren.
“Show me why you were chosen.”
Ren closed his eyes.
And when he opened them—
He was no longer bound by earth.

Story 27: The Cat Beyond Time
Ren began to move… like a cat who had lived a thousand lives.
Every step echoed a memory: a warrior leaping across rooftops, a mystic whispering to moons, a shadow crawling through fate itself. The audience of Elder Whiskers watched in awe.
He didn’t just dodge Clawrix—he danced with him.
And finally, with a flick of the tail and a strike of starlight, Ren disarmed the divine champion.
The temple was silent.
Clawrix bowed.
“The Heart chose well.”
Old Whispurr relented.
“Myrr is no longer Exile. He is… Father of the Bound.”
The trial was over.
But Ren heard something then.
A meow—not from the realm, but the void beyond.
And it was… crying.
