On his mad dash out the chapel Nate almost stumbled into Mother Olga.
“Sorry ma’am!”
“No running in the halls…! This kid is going to be the dead of me.” She muttered this last while stepping into the chapel herself, “And?” She asked, hands on hips, “How did it go?”
Dana’s golden light deemed to snuffing before she talked.
“I monitored his heartbeat for our entire conversation, and I don’t believe he was lying. If he is the abandoned son of a noble or merchant household, he doesn’t remember... What about this rich father he mentioned to Uricov? Can this Brooks person be a foreigner?”
“No. Amanda, bleeding heart of a fool that she is, triple checked with the constables, they have no register of someone like that.” Olga sat beside her with a sighed, “Come now, what is bothering you?”
“Oh? And why do you assume something is bothering me?” she asked coyly.
Olga just gave her a flat stare.
“Fine! I tell you, but keep it quiet, specially from Amanda, you know how she gets.”
Olga closed his fingers over her mouth, not quite zipping it closed but buttoning it up.
“You are such a brat…” Dana chuckled, but then grew dead serious, “Olga, something is verry wrong with that child. At first, I thought he was in denial, like most noble children are when they get here, but I am not sure anymore…”
“You think he is telling the truth?”

“I really can’t tell. He appears to know nothing about skills and his common sense is all over the place but, his injuries were too minor, he shouldn’t have any memory loss, let alone a whole set of outlandish memories.”
“The oddest thing of all are his skills, though. One can always refuse a new skill, true, but even the slightest hint of acceptance is enough for the skill to be learnt. No child, under any amount of supervision has ever been able to refuse a skills for so long, that’s why we train them from such an early age.”
“You are saying someone paid for an Eraser to clear off his entire Skillset and then just plane abandoned him on an alley? You do know how ridiculous that sounds, right? Are you sure this isn’t the result of one of those tricky head injuries? You always said your skill had trouble healing those… Maybe he had the skill all along and he just remember having it now. With how personalized the whole thing can be, it isn’t impossible for the skill selection to resurface as a nice little reminder.”
“I… supposed you could have the right of it…” Dana sighed, “Anyhow, starting tomorrow I’ll train him personally and keep an eye on his skills.”
“Uhm? So you believe that self-absorbed, crass brat will complete your little task?”
“Olga!” she reproached, “That’s no way to speak of our charge…! And I assure you, whatever else Nathan is, he is a good child. I trust in him plainly.”

-Y/N-
From the end of the passage Nate’s face sour.
“Stupid skill! I didn’t want to eavesdrop on them! I just came back to ask mother Olga where Zoly was! Is not my fault they were talking about me behind my back and the acoustics here are so good…! Well, if anything It’s good they are finally taking me seriously, but still, monitoring my heart for the entire conversation?! She can do that, auto-clean and apparently heal head trauma?! What kind of crazy skill has she…?! Anyway, I learn a few useful things. Apparently, there is a way to remove skills, though it doesn’t look to be straight forward… On the other hand, it appears that I am a Silver, though is probably better if I wait for Dana’s lesson before making a decision on this skill… Ugh! I guess I’ll have to find that annoying brat and apologize… but yeah, after what Dana said I should definitely cut him some slack… Well, better to do so now!”
