Chapter 1

AN: Alright everyone. With the rewrite here. I'll say I've heard some of your suggestions, some I agree with and will apply. Others maybe not. I'll pace the story a bit better which was one suggestion (Thank you) and also change up how this whole thing will work exactly. Nerissa being a main factor. Another thing I will be changing is the MC's name. It won't be Y/N anymore. Instead, it will be another name I had chosen. Like I said before, I didn't really have a clear direction for where I wanted to take this. But now that's changed.

So, I really hope you enjoy the rewrite!

Have you ever been pushed down by the world so many times, something inside you just breaks? Something that just alters the way you would normally think or behave? You see here's one cold hard truth about the world. Life isn't fair. Equality, the belief that all men are created equal...utter bullshit. No, I'm not talking about something that's political divisive, save that for the government to figure out. I'm talking about something that no mere man or women can control...luck.

My name is Victor Collins and let me tell you about just how shit my luck has been tely.

It all began on a very typical day. It was my first year of high school where I got into Clearwater Academy, The most prestigious school in the city. And I was 'lucky' enough to get into the school along with my best friend. Alex Murphy. Now let me tell you the difference between me and Alex. You see Alex got here through hard work and dedication, studying, recommendations, and busting his ass to make sure he was always the best student. It was honestly, commendable, unlike me. You see, while I never had bad grades, they weren't exactly great either. I wasn't one for studying and just glided through school as the days passed. Now, you may wonder, how did something like that get into such a prestigious academy? Simple. My Dad's rich. and I don't mean he as a nice ke front property on the best side of town type rich. I mean he is the chairman of one of the biggest conglomerates in the country type rich.

Medicine, Technology, Insurance, hell anything that has to do with the quality of life, my dad's company is involved in. So yeah, I bought my way in. Now normally, when people say stuff like "My dad pays for everything" they're usually snobbish and kind of an asshole right? Well, I'm only half of those things. I don't care about the money. Never have. I was fine just living a quiet life, with no intentions of taking over my dad's company or even getting involved with them.

I was just happy to be attending school with my friend. That's all that I really cared about...but then it happened.

  Meet my friend Alex.

See? Handsome but also seems innocent. Yeah, that's him in a nutshell. There were a lot of things that Alex did well, and to his own benefit it was through hard work. He quickly became the most popur boy in the css and basically had girls begging to be their boyfriend. He had perfect grades, was the captain of the school soccer team, the world was basically at his fingertips.

But there was one thing that divided me and him. The one thing that broke up many friendships in the past...the girl.

Meet Sarah Parker. The longtime friend of both me and Alex. She was always kind and caring to those around her. And... she even made me fall in love with her. I had never felt love before, at least not like what I had for her. It's embarrassing to admit, but I dreamt of finally asking her out but when I finally got the courage-

Sarah: I-I'm sorry Victor but...I'm dating someone else.

Heartbreak. Now typically I would've sulked but gotten over it, if she was happy, I was happy and all that right? WRONG.

Because not even an hour ter, I learned who she was dating. None of other than Alex fucking Murphy. My "Best Friend" who knew how I felt about her and still betrayed me. I could handle being rejected, it sucks but is what it is, but to be betrayed by my best friend? That was too far.

We stopped talking for a while...I kind of became a loner after that. Sarah would talk to me, but it was never the same. Alex was always in the picture. She would tell me how their dates went; the movies he would take her to see...all that bullshit. And every single word hurt like hell.

Then a month ter, for some odd reason I saw another girl holding Alex's arm. Confused I asked Sarah about it...Alex being the lucky man he was. Had somehow managed to have Sarah agree to being part of a polygamous retionship that let him date any girl willing to join, but the girls only date him. Don't ask me how, hell I wish I knew. But that bastard lucked out completely. And he didn't stop at just one new girl. By the start of our senior year...he had five different girlfriends.... FIVE.

At this point, I was basically cut off from that group entirely. Sarah would talk to me, but it was mostly about venting her frustrations with certain things, like how she doesn't get to spend enough time with Alex because of all the other girls, and frankly I was sick and tired of it.

So, there I was, at my apartment, working on some assignments using the light of my mp while the rest of my room. Then as I was working, I felt...off. It was like how you feel when a headache begins but there's wasn't any pain, just discomfort. My eyes began feeling heavy and before I knew it. Total darkness.

But that didn't st long. I opened my eyes and looked around my room. There was some type of purplish haze floating around. Everything felt...light. I don't really know how to expin it.

Was I in some kind of lucid dream?

  Oh, this isn't some dream.

And there it was. A feminine voice that sounded almost like an echo all around me.I looked around again but saw nothing. I must've been hallucinating, right?

  Heehee, think again.

I could've sworn I was going insane. Hearing voices that aren't yours talking to you is definitely psychosis...I looked into my dresser mirror and that's when I saw her. Sitting on her legs smiling at me seductively.

Victor Collins...what if I told you, I could make all your dreams come true.
