Reginald along with the Knight siblings – Dee and Dave waited for a cat to approach the trap. Reginald gazed at his watch, it was getting late and Dee and Dave knew they had to head back to the apartment.
“Our parents will flip out if we’re not back for dinner,” said Dave.
“Yea, see you back at the apartment,” said Dee.
Reginald sighed; he was alone for the moment. Then he noticed some rustling in some trash nearby – a calico cat emerging from the trash. Reginald paused; he LOVED calico cats out of all of the types of cats in the world. He always dreamed of owning one back in the 18th century, but didn’t have time since he was a British captain helping the British Empire against the American Revolutionaries. The small calico kitten sniffed the food, and as soon as she began to take a nibble, he soon pulled the string causing the box to collapse on her.
“GOT HER!” laughed Reginald.
Reginald cautiously approached the box; he could tell the kitten was rather afraid of what happened to her. As he slowly lifted the box, the calico cat gazed at him.
“Meow” said the calico cat.
It was a soft meow, unlike Ty’s robotic cat – it was the real cat saying “meow”. Reginald soon scooped up the calico cat, he did his best trying to think of a proper British woman’s name for his cat.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“I know what I’ll call you, I’ll call you Gwendolyn, you’ll like that name,” laughed Reginald.
“Meow” replied Gwendolyn.
Gwendolyn the Calico Cat was Reginald’s to keep, he soon headed back towards the Knight-Lennox apartment ready to show Tyler that a real cat is better. Back at the apartment, Ty was unaware of Rascal Riddle and Dashing Dwight were just around the corner. He was getting used to having Glitchy play around with him. Since this was a robotic cat, the robot cat had no real claws, though it oddly the model Ty had could shoot out laser eyes.
“Hmm, it says here that you could be a military prototype model of some sort,” said Ty.
Glitchy was ever so curious about its origins, Ty’s parents were still wondering if the firmware upgrade would be necessary. Soon Dave and Dee arrived, exhausted trying to retrieve Reginald.
“Finally, home” sighed Dee.
“Did you get my father to come back?” asked Charlotte.
“He was out there waiting for the perfect cat to arrive,” said Dave.
But before the Knight siblings could enter – Reginald soon entered with Gwendolyn the Calico Cat.
“I PRESENT TO YOU ALL, GWENDOLYN!” announced Reginald.
Excel soon began to sneeze a bit; no doubt Ty was right on the mark over his father’s allergies.
“You brought in a real cat?” asked Excel as he began to sneeze.
“I am terribly sorry, I didn’t know you were allergic to them,” said Reginald.
“Why else do you think we were leaning towards the robot version?” asked Excel as he sneezed again.
Lucky Excel wasn’t terribly allergic and could tolerate Gwendolyn being around so long as she stayed exclusively to Reginald’s room. Marian could get the feeling something like this would happen. Gwendolyn soon was placed on the floor by Reginald. She began to sniff Glitchy, Glitchy soon turned towards her and scanned her with its scanner.
“Meow?” asked Gwendolyn.
“Meow” replied Glitchy.
The two types of felines began to sniff each other, it was a touching moment that they got to know each other instead of fighting.
