Ciel lead the three of us to the side where there were three glass encased items and I looked a t them with nothing but curiosity in my eyes as these items seemed to be pretty interesting.
“So what are these items?”
Sparkle was the first to answer the question.
“And who left all of this treasure here?”
I asked and Ciel smiled before turning to face us.
“These three items are accessories that improve one’s speed, strength and stamina some of the most important physical factors in a fight.”
“So they are pretty useful but don’t you have some magical type of stuff because that would be nice as well?”
“While there are some magical items her, I don’t think it would be for the best if you use it after all it takes a while for you to use magic and you need to have a stronger physical foundation in order to use magic. Because if you were to use magic right now, it would probably destroy your body since magic is a very intense process for a first-timer.”
“And what about her? She’s a fairy or something and she’s been using magic all willy nilly like it doesn’t even have repercussions.”
She then turned to Sparkle.
“It’s because she’s a fairy. Fairies have a unique affinity for magic and the same could be said for elves to a lesser degree but that other race that you are Cat-kins aren’t all that great with magic. So using magic would be dangerous so in the meantime it would be best for you to acquire these items and go off on your own journey.”
I nodded before breaking the glass boxes and placed all of the items upon me. A blue necklace which made me 30% faster, green earrings that allowed me a 20% stronger stamina and a choker that made me 15% stronger.
“How about taking the money?”
Sparkle commented with greedy eyes.
“You can take the money if you wish to.”
Ciel replied while sitting back in a chair which she conjured to appear right behind her using her magic power. She stared over us with a proud look.
“The road ahead is going to rough and difficult…”
“Hey! Why are you saying that like you won’t be coming with us! There are a lot of valuable treasure here but more valuable than anything is you, so I am not going to leave you here to rot and die or whatever!”
Ciel chuckled.
“Are you really sure that you want to bring someone as horrible as me along with you.”
“Look, I don’t know what type of life you have lived or why you are so self-deprecating but I don’t want to leave you alone to yourself. I want you to travel with me to the outside world.”
Ciel smiled.
“You really are greedy and ambitious but even still that is something that I can’t hate because he took was like you, he also had ambition but ultimately that would be the downfall of him. But since that’s what you want young master, I will be coming along with you.”
“Hey stop talking so much.”
Sparkle said with an annoyed voice as the more Ciel spoke, the less screen time she got to have.
“I’m sorry if I have ever offended you in any sort of way.”
Ciel bowed with an empty sarcastic voice and the two girls glared at one another.
“Well there isn’t any reason to fight since the two of you are going to be serving me and I want the two of you to be friends rather than fighting against each other.”
The two girls turned around and nodded as they understood my intent.
“You’ve heard what the boss said so let’s not fight at all and let’s become friends for life.”
“Agreed.”
‘These two are way too similar when it comes to the young master act… But this thing is making me concerned after all I am their master but these two girls are so much stronger than I am.’
“You have talent but you are still young and do not know where to point your blade to but as someone walking down the same road as you, the road of a fighter I will help you hone your skills with the blade.”
“And uhh….”
Sparkle paused.
“I can help you with magic whenever you become capable of doing magical things.”
Sparkle said with a bitter look on her face while being aware of the fact that it was going to be a long time until I would be capable of using magic. Something which caused Ciel to have a smile on her face.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“If you want to leave this place with me there is something that you need to do later and I’ll tell you when we get to that.”
“What’s the thing that I have to do?”
I asked out of curiosity.
“There’s something powerful that we need to defeat at the end of the Tower in order for me to go and join you in your travels Raelia.”
I nodded while looking at Ciel with a happy look.
“So how strong is this person that we are going to fight? Are they weak or strong?”
“I used to be stronger than them but since I’ve been trapped in here, I’ve been a lot weaker so it’s going to take a long time in order for me to return to my peak power.”
“Hey what was your peak power like?”
Sparkle asked with a curious look on her face and Ciel chuckled.
“Would you really want to know? Because if you know what I am capable of doing, you would have an inferiority complex over how strong I am.”
Sparkle stared at Ciel with a blank disappointed stare before floating off onto my shoulder and staring at her from the very corner of her vision.

“Have you ever tasted rat meat before?”
Ciel said as she began stabbing into the head of a rat and decapitated it quickly. She turned around to face me as crimson blood gushed over my head. I glanced up above me where her bloodied spear had been and a disappointed look formed across my face.
“The rat’s blood is dripping all over Raelia.”
Ciel reached for her pockets and quickly wiped my head.
“I’m sorry young master! I didn’t notice that I was making you dirty with the blood of the rats!”
"I don't mind it."
"I hope you will enjoy rat-meat. It's not something that people have had much and I've been eating rats for a long time. Ever since I was trapped in here."
"I kind of feel sorry for you... But I'm still annoyed that you dropped rat blood on her head."
Sparkle commented.
“Well I’ve actually tasted rats before but they aren’t really that delicious to be honest.”
Sparkle stared at me with a look of pure despair. It seems like her suspicions from the second chapter were true. Something that caused an immediately look of shock to come over her face.
“That’s not healthy! You shouldn’t eat rats at all! I will teach you how to make money so you can get a good diet and eat healthy!”
Sparkle said with a look of pure shock and worry as she began sobbing for Raelia’s health and wellbeing. Something that caused a look of confusion to form on Ciel’s face.
“What’s wrong with her? You’ve never tasted rat meat before? Oh right she's a fairy and they don't eat meat."
“Rats are very dirty creatures and if you eat them you could get a disease!”
“You could but if you know what to do and clean them appropriately you will not get a disease at all. But if you are interested in learning how to eat healthy rat meat then I could teach you later.”
“I will try it later but to be honest, I don’t want to just eat meat all day to be honest.”
The rest of the tower rooms were a breeze from there after the first tower floor, the next had more undead mobs aka skeletons with sword and skeleton archers in addition to zombies however that was not an issue for our party. Same with the third floor which had the same mobs as the second but in higher quantity and density but the next floor from here on out was different.
“Stop. Before we go any further, this is the thing that I want to tell you about. The final floor of this room is the fourth and it’s a much shorter and small floor compared to the rest of things however despite this it is still somewhere dangerous. If we don’t make the right moves, we could end up losing our lives.”
“It seems like you know what we are going to fight?”
Sparkle asked with an intrigued look trying to fish information out of Ciel who seemed to know a little more than she is supposed to.
“Well this person used to be like me but I can’t even call them that anymore. So please, let me land the final blow upon them so I could put an end to their suffering.”
[Ciel has offered you quest: Allow her to land the final blow on ???.]
[Rewards: Ciel’s Favorability, ???]
[Punishment: N/A]
[Yes] [No]
“I will try and give you an opportunity to all you to finish them yourself but the thing with a fight is that it is messy so you might not get the exact opportunity that you want to.”
“Young master, I’m fully aware of that and that’s why I am going to finish things quickly with that bastard before they could pull anything else.”
Ciel walked past me to walk to the doorway leading to the fourth floor before turning to us with a sincere look of nostalgia.
“Let’s give it our all.”
“Yeah…”
“Let’s beat up the villain and get you out of here!”
The large metal door creaked open with Ciel leading the pain in front of us. She looked left and right into the 4th floor, the Imperial Throne Room. A ragged figure of rotted bones laid on the throne. Something that she walked up to with tears streaming down her eyes.
“I’m here again…”
She whispered under her breath and a loud boom came from overhead. Sparkle and me immediately glanced up to face the source of the boom. A giant red mass dropping from the ceiling and covering Ciel’s body.
[Certain Conditions have been met. Activating Hell Mode]
[While in Hell Mode, you will not passively regenerate health and enemy mobs will have their intelligence and power boosted. However in turn the rewards for beating the enemy will be greater.]
I gulped as I read the light blue notification which appeared right in front of me as I reached out for my golden sword. I launched myself right towards the red mass of goo and struck it with my blade in a straight jab toward it.
However despite putting all of my power into one of my strongest attacks which was additionally buffed by the times that Ciel gave me, there was effectively no feedback from the attack. It was like I hadn’t even attacked it all with such a dull reaction from my blows. I stared at it with a look of pure shock and confusion.
‘How tanky is this damn bastard!?’
“Hey! Don’t stand still!”
“Hey! What are you even trying to do! I haven’t seen you move either, Ciel!”
Sparkle called out the inactive servant who had wiped her tears before turning back to the side to face the giant red slime.
“Sorry. I was thinking about things..."
She launched herself like towards the red slime and so did I.
‘To think that things would get this bad while I was away. I’m sorry that this happened to you.’
Ciel’s spear struck the core of the red slime and it's shattered into cyan mist. The form of the red slime dissipated before oozing into the ground and it’s vapors dispersing into the air.
“Was that the end of it?”
Sparkle asked.
“You shouldn’t ask things like that because that’s how you are going to jinx the revival of the boss!”
I said with an annoyed look as I always despised that sort of trope in the movies. A trope that would always result in a damn annoying scene. Be glad when things are truly over not when they seem to be over.
[Jinx condition activated: Enemy boss has been buffed]
[Phase 2]
[Mnestia the Red Dream]
'What the fuck...!? It happened!?'
“Ciel…”
A young loli girl appeared right before us on the throne. She wore a white and black suit and walked up to Ciel, smiling for a moment. Grabbing her by the chin, she smiled until Ciel pushed her off with an uncomfortable look.
Clearly disgusted by the fact that her friend could play such games like that in such an important moment of their life.
“I’m back and I’m not going to run away from you anymore. I’ve found allies that I want to rely upon to defeat you.”
“Are you sure…”
Mnestia reached out for Ciel’s cheek and pecked her lips against her. Ciel immediately blushed before pushing her off. And no, the genre wasn’t going to change just because Mnestia was sus.
“It’s been so long since you’ve come to see me.”
She turned to face me and Sparkle.
“Are these your allies? A fairy and some weird thing?”
But honestly what is more annoying than the trope of a character assuming that an enemy is dead only for it to revive would be a cliffhanger at the vital moment of a fight.
