Since the start of the month, young Chevaliers had returned from their summer vacation before the first term of the academy started. Thus, it was as expected that the noble dies would frequently organize afternoon tea gatherings among themselves. Ophelia, who was one of the oldest siblings in her generation, was often invited to attend their small gatherings as well.
“Ophelia, we’re going to have an afternoon tea together in the garden since the weather is very lovely today. It would be wonderful if you could join us.”
One of Ophelia’s cousins came up to her while she was studying in the library and kindly extended her an invitation to join their afternoon gathering today. It was no surprise that the younger cousins often tried to sycophant her, as she was part of the main family line.
“Hmm…well then, I hope no one would mind if I bring my fiancé with me.”
“Of course not, Stel is more than welcome to join as well! I’m very certain others would love to get to know her in person.”
The younger cousin put on a delightful smile before she turned to Stel, who was sitting right across from Ophelia, but the Albrecht alpha acted uninterested in their conversation. Soon after the young cousin left the library, Stel lowered her book to speak with the pink-haired omega.
“… Just so you know, I might not be nice around your cousins though since I don’t like any one of them.”
Stel didn’t hold back and was genuine with every word she said. She was kind of expecting Ophelia to show some subtle reaction, but perhaps she was already used to her alpha being candid with her. The pink-haired omega wore an unreadable expression before she leaned back against the backrest.
“I hope you didn’t forget that you are my property. You’ll be doing exactly as I said. Be my good fiancé and do not humiliate me.”
“Sure, I can do that.”
Just like how Ophelia was used to her attitude, Stel was also used to her fiancé’s brusqueness as the alpha gave her a nonchant response. As it seemed they thought that would be the end of the conversation, they didn’t expect that the young alpha next to them would speak up out of the blue.
“…Sis, may I come along as well?”
“Huh?”
Neither of them was expecting Matteo to express his interest in attending this vicious afternoon tea. Ophelia was quick to question him, especially when he was a timid boy who always avoided interacting with any of their retives.
“Why do you have a sudden interest in attending?”
“Uhm…I just felt I should stop running away.”
The elder sister sighed before she lectured her na?ve little brother on noble etiquette.
“It is discourteous to attend a dy’s gathering without receiving a direct invitation. The reason Stel is coming is because she is my fiancée. If you want to get into our family’s social gathering again, then you need to polish your basic etiquette again.”
As Ophelia reprimanded Matteo for his ignorance, Stel could see the poor little alpha was overwhelmingly dejected. She understood Matteo’s intention was just that he wanted to change and step out of his comfort zone. He once expressed how he didn’t want to hide behind his sister’s protection anymore. However, she also understood where Ophelia was coming from as well. The strict elder sister wished to protect him from the cruelty of noble society, where everyone was no different from vultures preying on the weak within their circle.
“Ophelia, let’s not be too harsh on him.”
Stel knew that they both had good intentions behind what they were trying to say, and she felt the urge to step in and mediate the situation between the siblings.
“Matteo simply wants to make positive changes for himself, and we should encourage him the proper way to do it rather than discouraging him completely, right?”
“…”
The omega went silent for a second and realized that her words might’ve come out too harsh to the young boy. She let out a long exhale and looked over at her dejected brother, who was disappointed in himself. Guilt gradually washed over her, and Ophelia took a few seconds to calm down before she cleared her throat. She rephrased her words properly and calmly this time.
“…Look, I’m not against you attending our retives’ gatherings, Matteo. However, you know what our family is like. If you show even a small weakness, then they will prey on you and make you feel inferior to them. You must educate yourself and master the etiquette well to avoid any mistake at all costs…and that’s how you can protect yourself in this cruel society we live in.”
Ophelia was more than familiar with the cruel reality within a noble society as a Chevalier and an omega. It wasn’t unusual for omegas to encounter young noble alphas who viewed them as baby makers or sexual objects rather than their equals. Thus, being imperious and resilient was part of the pink-haired omega’s nature to survive. It was thanks to Stel’s gentle reminder that Ophelia was able to lower her tough fa?ade and calmly convey her worries and the reality of the society they were born into. The young pink-haired boy listened to every single word she said quietly and nodded firmly. Matteo apologized to the older sister for his carelessness earlier. He was aware that she was simply looking out for him, and she was right to scold him.
“I understand. I’ll do my best to polish my etiquette, so I won’t make a mistake again.”
“…That’s good.”
This was the first time Stel witnessed Ophelia as a gentle elder sister towards her little brother, she had her way to protect Matteo in this ruthless pce. Now that everything went well between the siblings, it was about time the couple needed to leave for the afternoon tea. Amid the silence, the two of them walked down the corridor to the garden before the omega was first to break the silence.
“…Don’t expect my thanks for earlier.”
“Huh?”
“I didn’t ask you to intervene, and you should’ve minded your business.”
She spoke out of nowhere, and that made Stel confused for a second. Ophelia gave her a stern stare and said what she had to say before she went silent again. She didn’t give Stel the room to respond as she walked off immediately. The bck-haired alpha was stunned by Ophelia's mixed messages, and it took her a couple of seconds to understand what she meant.
“Is this her way of thanking me?”
The subtle sweetness of her fragrance lingered in the air behind her and was more than enough to convey her hidden message. If she was indeed dissatisfied at the alpha for intervening earlier, then her pheromones would smell much more bitter and pungent… and it wasn’t. The corner of Stel’s lips lifted before she caught up with her.
“She sure has…some cute moments like this too.”
-
When they arrived at the garden and the Chevalier dies greeted them, Stel was struck with an odd sense of déjà vu. Being at the same location and seeing the familiar faces, she blinked a couple of times before she began recalling this particur past event. Today would be just like any other day the Chevaliers would attempt to humiliate her, but what made ‘today’ more special than usual was because…
“Stel, go inform the servants to bring tea and desserts for us.”
“H-Huh? Oh, sure.”
Thankfully, Ophelia interrupted her train of thoughts and the Albrecht alpha put on an act, and nodded firmly, before she headed inside the manor. She was grateful she got out of there before reddened cheeks and ears would become apparent.
“It’s…today already? Does that mean today is the day that Ophelia…”
Any first-time experience would leave an eversting imprint on one’s mind and in Stel’s previous life, today was the day that she received a bite mark and had her first kiss taken by Ophelia. The distant memories of that day resurfaced…Stel remembered that kiss so clearly and that made her cheeks heated up.
This event completely slipped out of her mind, and she bmed it all on her studies and training. The alpha was visibly anxious since she could barely hold herself together when exposed to Ophelia’s enticing pheromones previously. Animosity was once her greatest immunity that she could rely on at times she needed to stay strong, but not anymore.
“Y-You know what? There’s only one thing I can do and that is to tough it up and…uhm, just get through with it!”
She tried to encourage herself despite sighing for the nth time while taking her sweet time finding the servants before heading back to the garden.
-
The dies sat around the table to enjoy their warm afternoon tea and the beautiful weather today. Even if Stel wanted to stay out of their conversation, these vicious nobles would find ways to make her the main topic of their little chit-chat. Even if the alpha had put several Chevaliers in their pces previously, the incident at Ophelia’s birthday banquet was still a hot topic among them.
“You know…it is a good thing your fiancé didn’t humiliate you in front of others in public. I think you’ll have to educate her on the current trends and fashion among the nobles.”
All the sneering comments and giggles were shooting in her and Ophelia’s way, and the pink-haired omega foresaw this a mile away. None of their remarks could elicit a response from her, and it was Ophelia’s nonchant attitude that made some of her cousins anxious. Since they couldn’t get the desired response from her, they turned their fire to the only alpha in the space instead.
“Stel, do you think these earrings are pretty on me?”
Mabel was the first one to strike up a conversation with the alpha, who was trying to avoid any conversation with them. Even though she wanted to avoid any sort of interaction with Mabel at all costs, Stel needed to put on an act just the way Ophelia expected her to. Just before she could even utter a word, Mabel intentionally interrupted her instead.
“Oh, wait! I’m sorry I shouldn’t have asked…I doubt you would truly understand since you didn’t know how to pick a decent accessory for a noble dy.”
“Oh gosh, you’re so mean, Mabel!”
It was the same script as it was in her previous life. The dies at the table scoffed and giggled at Mabel’s mockery comments towards the young alpha before she shot another question at her.
“Don’t worry about it. We won’t bme you for a ck of knowledge since you’re an alpha…shall I offer to teach you the current trends and fashion among the noble dies?”
Mabel must’ve anticipated that the young alpha would get baited by her question, but the corner of Stel’s lips lifted before she walked over to stand right behind her fiancé. She leaned in and rested her hand on her backrest to dispy their close retionship.
“How kind of you, Mabel. However, I’m not that interested in what other dies, that is, not my fiancé, find elegant or fashionable…what matters to me is whether Ophelia loves it or not.”
Now that the alpha thought about Ophelia’s words from earlier in the library, it started to click in her head. Perhaps this was the true message in her words from the start—to be Ophelia’s good fiancé. Stel had no reason to act nice with any of these spiteful dies since all she had to do was publicly dispy her obedience solely towards the pink-haired omega.
She just needed to put on an act a couple of times before these chatty dies would spread the word like wildfire throughout the entire family. If this was what Ophelia wanted her to do, then Stel was willing to cooperate and py along with her game.
“I wish I could’ve seen her expression to know if I got her message right…”
At the very least, it was satisfying to see their smirk drop in an instant before they all wore a puzzled expression. In fact, Ophelia was also surprised by Stel’s bold approach, but that made the corner of her lips lift with relief. She was right to pce her bet on her quick-witted alpha to take the best possible action in this scenario. Sometimes, Ophelia felt like their minds were in sync and Stel knew exactly what she wanted her to do or act.
She leaned against the backrest and wore a confident smirk across her face before she delivered a savage counterattack.
“I hope you don’t mind her refusing your offer, Mabel. Since my fiancé only cares about what I like.”
Ophelia’s smile of confidence was enough to make everyone nervous before they attempted to shower compliments on how loyal Stel was to the older omega. Her cousins were all such cowards before her green eyes. They were no different from vultures that prey on their target’s fws, but once they realized they had no chance to bring her down, then they would sing sweet compliments and wear pretentious smiles instead. Of course, Mabel was the only exception among all of them who dared to talk back to Ophelia regardless. Even if she was older by a few years, she was still beneath the pink-haired omega in terms of their family’s hierarchy.
“Of course. However, I didn’t expect your dog to be this blindly into you.”
“That’s because I know exactly how to take care of my alpha very well.”
Even from here, Stel could sense the bad blood between them, especially when the bitter scent of vanil and vender mixed in the air. They had no reason to hide their animosity towards each other, even in front of their retives.
“Heh, I wonder what your secret is. Perhaps…you must be so good in bed that you have your alpha pet completely wrapped around your finger.”
Even other dies nearby felt it was indecorous for Mabel to state that btantly in public. In the Northnd’s noble society, it was considered especially unbecoming for an omega to be engaged in sexual activities before marriage. This vulgar cim was specifically directed towards Ophelia in an attempt to taint her pristine reputation.
“H-Hey Mabel, I think that’s a little bit too much.”
One of the cousins next to Mabel tried to calm her down in the hopes of diffusing the situation, but it was futile. The older brunette nonchantly expressed her thoughts to corner and degrade Ophelia deliberately in front of everyone.
“I’m just being honest! Seeing how close you two are, I’m certain that I’m not the only one here who wondered the same.”
It was dead silence at the table where neither one of them dared to utter a word... before the air around them was saturated with the pink-haired omega’s pheromones. The scent gradually intensified to the extent it smelled like rotten vender instead. Even if Ophelia showed no emotions on her face, her pheromones spoke louder. It was obvious that she was livid, and this caught Stel off guard.
This was the first time the alpha saw her become this emotional, which was unlike her usual self.
“Oh my…I’m sorry if I’ve offended you, Ophelia. You know me; I’m just curious how much your uncivil alpha pet becomes so obedient to you. Would you care to tell us how?”
The brunette omega happily smirked after she successfully wiped that imperious expression off Ophelia’s face. Mabel simply waited for her young cousin to respond to her question, but little did anyone expect that the bck-haired alpha had had enough of this defamation.
“Why must I act cordial to someone who doesn’t deserve it?”
Stel had enough of remaining in silence and listening to Mabel spouting repulsive accusations about Ophelia. Leaning forward and resting her hand on the table to exert dominance, the odor of the rotten flower was soon repced by the intense aroma of smoky pinewood. All the dies at the table shivered before the dominant fragrance of an alpha. Even if the betas were not as sensitive to pheromones as omegas are, they could sense the heavy aura around Stel.
“I have nothing but great respect for Ophelia, who carries herself diligently and dignifiedly at all times, unlike you. I suggest that you learn from her since your decorum is extremely cking.”
Mabel had interacted with several different alphas in the past, but none of them could make her feel this terrified before. She couldn’t take her eyes away from those ruthless blue eyes that made her heart shiver out of rhythm.
“Stel.”
“…”
Ophelia’s stern call was enough to make the tension in the air dissipate in an instant before everyone was able to let out an exhale of relief. In that midst of silence, this was a clear message to everyone at the table that Albrecht alpha was both protective and obedient to her fiancé. In no time, the rumors would spread throughout the whole family as Ophelia wanted.
“It is not respectful to release your pheromones like that, especially at the dy’s gathering.”
Even if what Stel did was considered extremely offensive to do at a dies’ gathering, truth be told, she couldn’t bring herself to act mad at the alpha for protecting Ophelia’s dignity and putting Mabel in her pce. In fact, that made her heart skip a beat. Meanwhile, Stel also noticed the rotten scent of vender around the omega disappeared, and Ophelia was back to her usual stoic self once again.
“I apologize for my misstep.”
Even if the alpha apologized, she did it out of formality and showed no regret for her actions. When Ophelia asked her cousins at the table to pardon Stel’s oversight, none of them were bothered by that in the slightest. In fact, they were more grateful for Stel intervening, as none of them dared to. Now that Ophelia had accomplished what she wanted from this gathering after causing a mini commotion with Stel’s help, it was the perfect time to leave.
“I just remembered I have matters to attend to, so please continue to enjoy the afternoon tea.”
“O-Of course! We’re happy to have you and Stel join us today. Please have a lovely afternoon.”
Ophelia caught a glimpse of the humiliated omega that went silent, and she was convinced that this would put Mabel in pce for a while. After the couple left the area, the Chevalier cousins awkwardly turned to the silent brunette immediately with a gentle nudge.
“Hey Mabel, we know you dislike Ophelia, but you really overstepped today.”
“She’s right. What if she reported to the Marquis and we get in deep trouble?”
While the dies from the branched families were anxious if they would be dragged into this mess Mabel created, it seemed the brunette omega wasn’t concerned with it. Aside from the fact that she didn’t expect the alpha to defend Ophelia, she also didn’t think she would still be shivering like this. As expected from such a noble alpha as Stel, she didn’t carry the blood of Albrecht for show after all. Her omega’s instinct screamed for her to surrender with a mix of fear and thrill. She couldn’t deny how she was drawn toward the presence of a powerful alpha.
“…You’re right, maybe I should go apologize to Ophelia ter for crossing the line this time.”
After a short moment of silence, Mabel wore a calm smile and pyed along with others’ suggestions to apologize to keep peace with each other. The remaining cousins decided to continue with their little tea for a little longer, but Mabel seemed quite distracted and was deep in her thoughts instead. No one knew what was going on in her mind behind her smirk.
-
Once the couple left the tea party, the bck-haired alpha quietly followed right behind Ophelia back to her chamber since she didn’t have important matters to attend to. The omega simply gave a convincing excuse to leave the tea party since she gained nothing by prolonging her stay. It was a long, quiet walk, as neither one of them spoke to the other until they arrived at her room.
“You need to mind your business back there. All you have to do is just be my good, obedient fiancé.”
Ophelia was the first to break the silence and turned around to give a stern gre in Stel’s direction. She warned her that it was a family feud where the Albrecht alpha had no pce in it. However, the alpha had no intention of just standing there and doing nothing while letting Mabel defame Ophelia btantly like that.
“You cannot expect me to watch that heinous woman speak to you in that way.”
“I’m not going to thank you for that. What you’ve done is considered crossing the line.”
“I know, and I don’t regret that. I’m doing what I believe is the right thing to do.”
They were both equally stubborn with their decision, and the omega knew that whatever she said wouldn’t convince Stel not to intervene if there was a next time. Unfortunately, she couldn’t possibly show that she was genuinely happy with the alpha protecting her honor. Furthermore, Ophelia was worried that if they were to be in a simir situation again and Stel continued to act as she wished regardless of what she said, then it would make the Marquis doubt Ophelia’s ability to control the alpha.
“Sit down.”
Stel silently did as she was told, as she didn’t want to further anger her, and the omega didn’t give her time to mentally brace herself for what was about to happen. When the alpha blinked, her thoughts scattered like leaves in the wind the moment she made that close eye contact with those green, glistening eyes.
The omega rested her knee next to Stel’s leg before she leaned her body in so it felt as if Ophelia was straddling her. The gentle vender scent permeating from her white porcein skin and dress made her feel the heartbeat in her throat.
“O-Ophelia, what are you—”
“Even if you’re misbehaving, it doesn’t feel so bad to have a protective pet that will bite anyone that touches her master.”
She pced her hand on her shoulder before she slowly traced along her colrbone to where the button of her shirt was. Heat bloomed across Stel’s cheeks as she gulped and tensed up even from the omega’s subtle touch. Her bashful expression was so obvious that Ophelia couldn’t help but tease her about it.
“Why are you so nervous? I haven’t done anything yet.”
“Who in their right mind would wear such a straight face as yourself while being in this kind of situation??”
Stel could feel the heat crawl up to her ears like it had a mind of its own as they spoke. It all happened so suddenly that Stel forgot to breathe for a moment. It seemed the alpha’s reaction created a domino effect on Ophelia as well. Seeing the young alpha flustered upon her touch somewhat made the omega’s cheeks flush with a happy warmth. Since Stel showed no signs of resistance, it encouraged the bold omega to push her limits even more and see how far she could go with teasing her.
“I was thinking I should punish you, but…wouldn't a reward be more fitting?”
“H-Huh?”
“For standing up and protecting my honor earlier. I must say…that’s very sweet of you.”
Ophelia sat down and straddled the tensed alpha boldly before her hands traced the shape of her neck and colrbone. Feeling her body heat against her delicate fingers, the omega nonchantly whispered with a smile.
“Be a good girl and sit still.”
“W-What are you going to do…?”
“Seeing you protective of me makes me…want to mark you.”
Since day one she arrived at Chevalier’s manor, Stel always presented herself as a wise, dependable, and fearless noble despite this atrocious situation she was in as Chevalier’s prisoner. Yet, she was able to wear such an innocent ‘virgin’ expression of someone who had yet to have an intimate experience with an omega. Witnessing this adorable side of hers, Ophelia couldn’t resist teasing Stel even more.
“How is that a reward to me?? That sounds like a punishment instead!”
The alpha protested underneath her breath and tried to stay as composed as possible while the sweet vender fragrance was filling up her nostrils. Stel felt her heart race in response to Ophelia’s pheromones that were gradually getting sweeter and stronger.
“That’s true…so how about I let you mark me instead?”
“Huh?”
This was not going according to the script. Stel thought she might’ve misheard what Ophelia said until the omega boldly unbuttoned her dress in front of her. Her blue eyes locked straight at the exposed nape where her scent gnd was, and Stel swore that her hands had never been quicker in her life to grab onto Ophelia’s hands to stop her from unbuttoning further.
“W-Wait! Stop for a second—!”
“…”
The alpha’s blush was in the blink of an eye, and Ophelia was surprised since she never thought that was even possible. Stel looked like a flustered little puppy that was about to combust at any second right now. The omega noble wore a teasing smile as she was almost unable to contain her ughter.
“So, what do you choose as your reward?”
“You’re seriously a bully, aren’t you?”
“I deserve to have some fun exacting my revenge after all the headaches you’ve given me since day one.”
After Stel had her moment to tease and push Ophelia’s buttons this entire time, it was her turn to make the alpha taste her own medicine. Even if Stel wore a grumpy face, she looked more like a fuming puppy, and Ophelia couldn’t sense any hostility from those blue eyes of hers. Indeed, the couple’s ultimate weakness was that their pheromones could not lie about how they felt. The smoky pinewood fragrance was gentle, warm, and protective, like how she always remembered.
“Grr…fine! Have it your way. Just mark me, and let’s get it done.”
“Fufu.”
Once Stel let loose of her grip, the omega buttoned up once again before moving her hand to her fiancé’s shirt. Gradually unbuttoning one by one to expose her neck, Ophelia felt her throat dry and tight as she swallowed hard. As her green eyes locked at the juncture of Stel’s neck where her scent gnd was, she couldn’t help but shift in closer to kiss her smooth skin.
“—!!”
“Rex…don’t tense too much.”
Ophelia brushed her teeth against her skin, feeling Stel’s warmth before she sunk her teeth in to mark her. At that moment, all the strength left the alpha’s body in an instant, and her pheromones oozed uncontrolbly. The alluring scent of vender and pinewood blended harmoniously as one in the room, and even the alpha could feel Ophelia’s body getting hotter too. Stel did everything she could to mentally brace herself for the incoming bite, but her young body, brimming with vigor, disobeyed her wish.
“A-Ah…”
Stel let out a husky exhale as her arms wrapped around Ophelia tightly, which also caught the omega by surprise. However, that didn’t stop her from sinking her teeth in to fill her mouth with Stel’s pheromones. She had moments she pnned to stop, but the alpha’s smoky pinewood scent was too irresistible for her.
“H-Hey… that’s enough…”
A hoarse voice of protest escaped the alpha’s lips, but it was futile. Ophelia was too distracted by her scent and allowed her mind to drown in Stel’s enticing pheromones. She clutched tightly onto Stel’s shoulder so she wouldn’t push her away. She nibbled and sucked on her gnd to coat her lips with her alpha’s warm, smoky scent.
“Just…a little bit more.”
The more she kissed, the more Stel’s skin got warmer, and the more she couldn’t stop.
The alpha below showed no resistance or signs that she would push her away…which made it harder for Ophelia to control herself too. Stel shivered at every soft breath, kiss, bite, and touch she made against her smooth skin.
“You have to… I-I can’t…”
Eventually, the pink-haired noble became deaf to Stel’s plea as her omega’s impulses took control of her body. Ophelia showed no sign that she would stop and didn’t realize the young alpha had reached her limit. Stel gasped and used her remaining strength to grab onto her small shoulders to make Ophelia stop before her consciousness might bck out.
“O-Ophelia… s-stop…t-that’s enough!”
When Ophelia made eye contact with the young alpha, she saw primal hunger in her eyes, like it could swallow her whole without warning. Sweat beads rolled down Stel’s forehead as she was reminding herself to breathe. As the omega gradually regained her senses back…she finally realized the firm and hard bulge pressing against her from below. Her mind went numb for a few seconds before her cheeks turned crimson in a heartbeat.
“H-Hey, don’t move! Just…stay still.”
Stel held onto her tightly to keep the omega still as she forcibly clenched her teeth and her eyes averted from Ophelia. She knew she would inevitably stare at her neck and be flooded with intrusive thoughts again.
“Just…stay still…until I calm down… and don’t ugh.”
It was too embarrassing that her young alpha body was too honest, excited, and hard against the pink-haired omega. How could she stop an alpha’s instinctive reaction to an omega’s attraction, even if she didn’t want to? Now both of them were stuck in an awkward position where Ophelia couldn’t be bothered to hide her reddened cheeks and ears.
“I-I’m not that cruel to ugh at a natural reaction, okay?”
“…”
Initially, they were supposed to have a toxic retionship in which the alpha hated her to the core. Who would’ve thought they would end up in this awkward situation? Ophelia felt partly guilty for almost making Stel in rut by biting and sucking on her scent gnd for a little bit longer than she should have. Nevertheless, she had no intention of bullying the trembling alpha who was resisting her innate impulses right now.
Stel exhaled heavily for the nth time even after she stopped Ophelia. The alpha could feel her entire body and heart were on fire with the desire to devour the omega. Her innate instinct elicited a stream of intrusive thoughts to succumb to her nature and ravage her.
“Ugh…”
It was getting uncomfortable and painful to resist, and Ophelia could see how hard Stel was struggling. Despite the erection against her crotch, the pink-haired noble stayed as still as possible to not make it any harder for her.
“Seriously…! You’re just so helpless.”
Ophelia exhaled loudly and pulled the alpha into her embrace so Stel’s face was buried into her shoulder.
“H-Hey! What are you doing—?”
“Just close your eyes and try to calm down, idiot.”
The alpha had a frantic response until she noticed the pheromones in the air changed. The sweet, fresh scent of vender of the morning spring diffused in the air and began to subdue her arousal and heat. After taking a couple of inhales, Stel began to regain full control of her body and senses. Perhaps it was a mix of the gentle fragrance and warm embrace; it dissipated the tension in her body, and it was no longer painful to resist her feral impulses.
After a minute or two, Ophelia noticed that the alpha was no longer breathing loudly, and the firm bulge pressing against her was gone too.
“Can I move yet?”
“…Yeah. Sorry for the inconvenience earlier.”
Finally, the omega was able to get off the alpha, who was still embarrassed by what happened earlier. Stel touched where Ophelia marked her and sighed in relief that it was finally over. Even if it took less than ten minutes, it felt like an eternity to her.
“I didn’t expect you to be this… weak to pheromones.”
Ophelia was back to her usual self once again as she threw a sharp remark on how easily aroused the alpha was to her pheromones. Even if she was no longer wearing a bashful expression, her ears were visibly bright red.
“That’s not my fault! I didn’t ask you to mark and suck on my gnd to the point you almost get me in rut??”
The alpha was adamant that she was not to be bmed for it, and it turned into a staring contest where the stubborn couple refused to budge. Even if Ophelia was aware she was partly to bme for it, she didn’t want to openly admit that. Instead, she smoothly changed the subject and steered the conversation toward a new concern on her mind.
“Hmm, it seems it’s about time to introduce new training for you. It would be horrible if some omega attempted to seduce you behind my back when my fiancé is this weak to pheromones.”
Stel had a feeling that Ophelia was referring to her cousin, Mabel, or other cousins of hers who would try to seduce the young alpha. Even if Stel’s mind might be able to resist her feral urges, this young body may betray her better judgment. Ophelia’s concern was justifiable, but that would be her concern ter on another day.
“I despise them enough that their pheromones would be more of a turn-off for me.”
Stel tried to py cool, but Ophelia was not buying it and threw a doubtful stare back at her.
“I doubt it. Judging by how you reacted to me earlier. What if I didn’t subdue your rut, do you think you can resist that?”
“Well, that’s because—!”
Perhaps this was the first time that Stel was about to lose an argument with Ophelia. It wasn’t that she couldn’t refute her, but it was because she couldn’t possibly tell her the truth.
“Because?”
“…I would like to take a shower. My clothes are soaked in my sweat.”
The best decision for the alpha was to avoid the question and decide to excuse herself to go take a shower. Stel headed towards the connecting door between their rooms immediately before the omega could demand her to answer the question.
“You certainly have the audacity to leave without answering my question.”
Ophelia scowled at the runaway alpha, who was immune to her threatening tone. The moment the alpha shut the door behind her, she let out a quiet breath. She was too embarrassed to answer the question because of her alpha pride. Stel didn’t want to admit Ophelia’s pheromones made her feel good. The way the floral fragrance embraced her body tenderly was like an indirect love confession from the omega. Furthermore, the Albrecht noble already had a soulmate, and she was embarrassed to admit that she got an erection for an omega that wasn’t Linda. Even at this moment, Ophelia’s scent was all over her body, and she was in desperate need of a cold shower.
However, something in her reflection caught the alpha’s attention.
“H-Huh?!”
When Stel unbuttoned her shirt to see her neck in the reflection, a wave of heat rushed to her face. Aside from the bite mark, there were visible kiss marks around the area left behind by the pink-haired fiancé.
“This is going to take a couple of days for these marks to fade…that Ophelia—!”
Stel finally understood how the omega almost triggered her rut, and she needed a cold shower to clear her mind of what happened earlier. As the heat from her cheeks dissipated, the alpha was able to gather her thoughts and process the event that happened earlier.
She was marked by Ophelia, but it certainly didn’t py out like how it happened in the past… as they didn’t share their first kiss. She believed they were too distracted by other things that happened, so it deviated from the original course of the event. Just recalling how her alpha body honestly reacted to Ophelia’s pheromones made her ears heat up instantly.
“I swear I’m going to take this secret to my grave…Linda cannot know about this.”
Ophelia wouldn’t tell anyone about this, right? What if they encountered each other and the pink-haired Chevalier said it to agitate her soulmate? There were too many scenarios running through Stel’s mind, and she could only worry about that when that time came.
-
Soon after the alpha ran away from her question, Ophelia had a silent moment to herself where she dropped her mask. Her fingers traced her lips, where she could taste the strong smoky pinewood between her tongue and teeth. Stel’s pheromones filled her mouth and nose so much that it was the only scent she could smell right now. Repying what happened earlier in her head once again, her face and ears burned up.
That was too dangerous and unhealthy for her heart. She didn’t expect that marking the young alpha would become this chaotic.
Ophelia would be lying if she wasn’t tempted to push the alpha beyond her limits. Even if she knew that was wrong, if Stel were to lose control and mark her back, she wouldn’t resist. Another part of her wished that the bck-haired noble showed signs of resistance against her touches and kisses. It would’ve been easy for Ophelia to control her primal instincts.
“I need to be careful next time, or else I’m the one who is going to lose control instead…”
Ophelia needed to be careful next time and mark Stel with moderation. Occasionally, she cursed this primal instinct she was born with for making her desire and want Stel for herself, especially when she had romantic feelings for her. She constantly had these intrusive thoughts of shackling the gentle alpha so that she could never leave her side.
Of course, she resisted all of that. Ophelia was able to use sheer determination to ignore her primal desire for her loved one and focus on her one true goal. However, what she believed she needed the most right now was a cold shower to remove the heat and any intrusive thoughts she had right now.
“Ugh… I think I need some cold shower to cool down too.”
PS. I drew the Albrecht family portrait, so you can check it here! I would love to just smack the photo in but it seemed to have problems ter so I'll just put my drawings elsewhere.
