Chapter 2: Blazing Mercenary Corps
(Tudou revised the previous chapters today, because I also felt that the previous few chapters of Huan Yu Su Fei were a bit silly, so I revised some of them. Now it may be more comfortable to read.)
The mercenary guild in "Sunset Fortress" is much more luxurious and grand than the one in "Adventure Town".
If the mercenary guild in "Adventure Town" is a small inn, then this place is a luxurious five-star hotel.
Above the gate, the large magical font of "Mercenary Guild" shone brightly and pulsed faintly.
Stepping through the gate, but not appearing in the "Adventurer's Town" Mercenary Guild's sweltering, boisterous scene.
In the grand hall, luxurious and majestic, it doesn't look like a place where the crudest mercenaries would live.
A large crowd of mercenaries were in a great hall, some sitting and others standing. Although there were many people, they all consciously lowered their voices, looking at Kens and his group as they walked in, but only glanced at them before shifting their gaze back.
A cool breeze circulates indoors, bringing the most comfortable comfort to the exhausted mercenaries.
"Heh heh, how's that? Better than the Mercenary Guild in 'Adventure Town', right?" Ken said with a chuckle.
"Ah, very good." Liu Feng praised.
Kens walked quickly to the counter and smiled at the task clerk beside him, "Hey, Nayo, help me take a quest, D-rank."
The middle-aged man inside the counter nodded and asked casually, "How come, Ken? That B-level task hasn't been completed yet?"
Kens shrugged: "You know, how could a B-level mission be so simple? Besides, I have a trouble-making dwarf here."
"Haha." Naya smiled: "How could I have forgotten that you're the 'Terminator' of your team?"
Liu Feng couldn't help but laugh and said with a smile: "Badas, I didn't know you had such a famous nickname."
Badas scratched his head, looking a bit embarrassed: "Uh, Liu Feng, you know dwarves like to drink, and I'm no exception. But the thing is, whenever I drink, I get dizzy... so..."
"You didn't just drink and get dizzy, did you?" The elf Mo Fei rolled her eyes in doubt.
"Heh heh." Badas, having just made a mistake today, didn't dare to argue with his companions anymore. He scratched his head, smiled, and stopped talking.
Kens, who had just taken over the task, turned around and smiled at Liu Feng: "Little Feng, what are you planning to do?"
Liu Feng furrowed his brow in thought, and at this moment he really wanted to go and report back to Su Fei. However, "Sunset" was too far away from the Adventurer's Town, even if he took a Griffin, it would take at least a week, and Griffins were only something that some large powers could afford, ordinary people didn't have them.
So I can only secretly sigh in my heart, "I hope Fei'er, don't worry too much, I'll go find you when I have time."
Raised his head and saw everyone's gaze focused on himself, shook his head.
"I don't know."
"Why don't you join our mercenary group then? You can leave whenever you want, just let us know." Kens rubbed his hands together, full of expectation.
Liu Feng lowered his head and thought for a moment. Since he didn't have anything to do at the moment, it might be good to join them as mercenaries or try out that adventurous feeling.
He nodded and accepted Kens' invitation.
Seeing Liu Feng nodding, Kens and the three team members also breathed a sigh of relief. With such an expert around, doing tasks became much easier and safer.
"Hehe, okay, Xiaofeng, give me your mercenary badge and I'll go register for you." Kensley said with a chuckle.
Liu Feng flipped his hand and took out the mercenary badge that Su Fei had handled.
A silver-white badge shone with a faint silvery light in his hand.
"A silver crest?" Kens gazed at the silver-white emblem in a low voice.
"What's wrong?" Liu Feng saw Kens in such a state and was somewhat perplexed.
"This is a badge that only B-class mercenaries can have, how did you get it?" Kens took the badge and kept flipping it over in his hand.
"Of course I'll apply for it, okay, you go ahead and handle it." Liu Feng replied lightly.
"Good." Kens took the badge and turned around excitedly again, saying something to Nayo.
Nai Yao looked at Liu Feng with some surprise from afar, then nodded his head.
After a while, Kens returned with a satisfied smile.
"Alright, it's done. Xiaofeng, take this and from now on you're a member of our 'Blazing Mercenary Group', hehe." Kens smiled as he handed over the emblem.
Liu Feng nodded slightly.
"Let's go, let's eat first. On the vast grassland, we haven't had a satisfying meal yet." Kens waved his hand and led the way out.
"The Sunset" fortress is indeed one of the top two big cities in the human kingdom, with streets lined with shops and all sorts of strange goods on display, attracting passersby to stop and gaze.
Kens kept talking non-stop on the way, introducing this and that to Liu Feng.
A passionate appearance, which made the three gentlemen behind extremely dissatisfied.
Why is it that people can be so different?
The footsteps finally stopped in front of a unique restaurant.
"This place is great, it's a restaurant that caters specifically to mercenaries and the conditions are really good. The most important thing is that it has that lively atmosphere." Ken said with a wide grin on his face.
"How is it? Do you like it? Xiao Feng."
"It's fine." Liu Feng shrugged somewhat indifferently.
When it comes to eating, he doesn't have many demands, as long as he can swallow it.
As I stepped into the hall, there was a buzz of noise and a fiery atmosphere hit me head-on.
"It's indeed lively..." Liu Feng thought silently as he looked at the hall full of mercenaries.
Kens led the way, heading towards an empty table in the corner.
At Kent's invitation, a slender waitress quickly served up the dishes he had requested.
"Hehe, come on Xiaofeng, to welcome you joining us, let's have a drink." Kens smiled and raised the wine glass in front of him.
Dwarf Badas, who had been sitting on the side and was tempted by the fine wine on the table, immediately picked up his large cup upon hearing the captain's words: "Xiao Feng, congratulations on joining our 'Blazing Mercenary Corps'! Haha, I'll drink first!"
He tossed his head back, and a large mug of beer was "gulped" into his belly. He slammed the mug heavily on the table and shouted loudly: "Another cup, refreshing!"
Liu Feng was shocked. He had long heard that dwarves loved to drink, but he had never seen it before. Today, his eyes were truly opened.
"Hehe, Feng Ge, don't mind this drunkard, he gets dizzy as soon as he sees wine." Mage Beifa said with a warm smile on the side, furthering their relationship through her words.
Liu Feng still had a good impression of these few people and didn't mind it, so he smiled lightly and nodded.
When Liu Feng didn't object to his own title, Beifa laughed and became even more enthusiastic.
Several people's relationships on the dinner table are rapidly developing with the cultivation of fine wine.
Just as the five of them were eating with great relish, a extremely ear-piercing laughter came from beside.
"Hey, isn't that Colonel Kens? How come you didn't die on the Beastman Plains? Ah, I've been mourning for you for so long."
Liu Feng furrowed his brow, turned around and looked at the person who had just spoken sarcastically.
On the table next to them, a dozen or so people were looking over here with extreme disdain. The leader was wearing a martial arts uniform, with two moons proudly standing on his chest.
Sixth rank, martial artist.
"They are members of the Mercenary Corps, and have some history with us. However, they are quite powerful, so we generally don't dare to provoke them." The dwarf's low muttering voice came over.
"The squad leader never lets us teach them a lesson, always wanting to smooth things over, but people like that... only a fist will make them shut their mouths." Sprite Mo Fei also spoke out indignantly.
"What's wrong?" Liu Feng looked at Kens with some confusion. In his heart, Kens was not the kind of person who feared trouble, so why?
Looking at Liu Feng's puzzled eyes, Kens let out a heavy sigh: "It's all because of these three kids. I'm not afraid for myself, but I don't want to implicate them."
Bei Fa's face turned red with excitement, and he shouted: "Captain, don't worry about us, at worst we'll just die!"
"Haha, Uncle Kens, what you said is absolutely right. For this kind of person, just tolerating them won't do, they must be made to fear you in order to shut that stinky mouth of theirs." Liu Feng patted Kens on the shoulder.
"Do you want to hit them?" Liu Feng asked with a tilted head, smiling at the three hot-blooded young people.
The three of them nodded heavily in unison.
"Idea"
"Alright, now you guys go ahead and scold them, if a fight is needed, I'll help you."
