The dollboy dragged its bladed arm along the wall as it advanced towards me.

  I cautiously stepped backward, keeping my guard up. The strategy was to draw it away from them to prevent it from using them as leverage.

  Immediately after, Lezian backhanded it to the walls and began a barrage of punches.

  I thought it was over for it but my instinct told me to turn around immediately. Once I did, I saw the Dollboy seconds away from landing an overhead slash if I didn't block the attack.

  "So your speed is the only problem." I managed to overpower it and retaliate with a sidekick, however, my leg was caught by its wires.

  I was taken aback when I saw it smile so wide, "You need to do better." He said as he slapped me against the cheeks with blinding speed.

  The force was strong enough to send me hurling towards the rock walls. It then returned its right arm to normal and charged at me.

  Before I could react, I was punched in the stomach and face at high speed, then kicked towards the entrance.

  As I attempted to regain my footing, a full-force knee to the face sent me crashing to the ground completely motionless.

  Every part of my body felt numb. Blood just poured out of my mouth and nose. I guess I got what I wished for, what type of mentally ill manic would believe in this thing's existence.

  "You are beautiful when you bleed. You will become beautiful when you die. I will be beautiful when I wear you." he declared.

  He grabbed my leg and slowly tried to peel my skin until a soccer ball was blasted against its face.

  Gabrielle was leaning against the wall trying to recover her breath, "That gorgeous angel is my friend. I won't allow him to be anything but cute." She declared while her body was wrapped in her red aura.

  Despite that attack, there was no effect. The dollboy turned his face towards Gabrielle in confusion, then teleported in front of her and kicked her towards the fog barrier. "Why him and not me?" he asked as he delivered an onslaught of punches against Gabrielle.

  To my left, Ren was tracing something on my chest, "I sent an emergency request to HQ. A hunter is on his way as we speak. We need to still for the time being. I am making you resistant to pain and increasing your movement." He said.

  The pain in my body vanished instantly, and I felt lighter, "Thanks, it seems it only wants me, so I'll keep it distracted. Just watch Gabby while I'm busy." I said as I dashed toward the Dollboy, he was unaware of my presence, and I was able to tackle him to the ground.

  "Miss me." I said before punching it repeatedly against its face, only for one strong punch against my chest that sent me flying through three support beams.

  I just kept pushing forward regardless of the amount of blood I lost. Slashing left and right.

  Gabrielle blasts a soccer ball which stops its attacks, "Maybe I prefer shorter girls." It turned around and pointed a cannon-like arm towards her and Ren.

  A sinister black energy began to form and the two of them were paralyzed by the growing ball of energy. I doubt they will be able to survive this.

  As a last-ditch effort, I dashed in front of them and was ready to shield them, "XAVIER!" Scream Lezian who was aggressively pounding against the barrier.

  "Real Real beam." the Dollboy declared as it fired the beam.

  My body just shut down, and a sensation of ten thousand needles stabbed every inch of me rapidly.

  Once the smoke cleared, I was still standing despite being unable to move.

  Gabrielle was in the same boat as me. My effects were in vain because she absorbed some of the damage, "PLEASE WAKE UP! THIS ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE!" Ren shouted.

  I was certain that death was on its way, but then a miracle occurred. A man dressed in golden black robes and slippers materialized from nowhere.

  He carried a rapier in his hand and asked us, "Who is the supervisor of this squad?"

  Ren trembled as he spoke, "It's Gun-wo sir. He is outside this barrier right now. Please, tell him to lower the barrier so these two can receive medical attention." The mysterious man gazed at us and smiled.

  "You two are true hunters. Man, I remember my first time encountering an S-rank beast. I was on the floor covered in blood and bruises. Those were the times." He continued to causally talk with us despite the dollboy standing right behind him with his chainsaw arm ready to strike.

  "LOOK OUT!!!" Ren shouted, but the man appeared unfazed.

  The man glanced at each of us and said, "Earlier today, I was supposed to meet my new team, but they were inexplicably absent. Now I have discovered them, battered and bloodied. Just the way I like it."

  Both me and Ren came to the realization, "Wait, are you-" I was about to ask but he wanted to finish my sentence.

  With the swiftness of his blade, he sliced the dollboy's head off its body leaving the thing unresponsive, "Yup, whoever believed that they could copy the original without consequence is in for a rude awakening. Because I am the true Gun-wo. It's a pleasure to meet you all." He said with a confident smile on his face.
