Chapter Sixty: The Bandit
It was a sunny day, with clear skies and a gentle breeze. Xiao Fan wore a green robe, holding a folding fan in his hand, walking alone on the road, occasionally shaking the fan to appreciate the beautiful scenery along the way, looking like a young master out for a stroll.
On that day, Xiao Fan and Liu Feng had a wild drinking spree, ending with Liu Feng getting drunk and passing out. After arranging for someone to take care of Liu Feng's accommodations, Xiao Fan didn't linger long and left the small town directly.
For Xiao Fan, although Liu Feng is more talkative with him, the two are just passersby in each other's lives, and Xiao Fan doesn't want to have too much contact with him either.
Xiao Fan currently wants to hurry up and head to San Jue Men, join San Jue Men and cultivate well within San Jue Men.
"Halt!"
Just as Xiao Fan was walking on the road, a loud shout suddenly came from his front.
Xiao Fan raised his head and saw two middle-aged men with sinister eyes standing in front of him, each holding a large knife.
"Could it be that we've encountered mountain bandits? How interesting, how interesting." Xiao Fan's face was filled with a smile as he looked at the two robbers blocking their way. The road had been dull and boring, but running into these two little mountain bandits was actually quite entertaining.
"Little, little kid, if... think about it... want to live, then... hand over all the valuables on your body." The middle-aged man standing on the right stuttered as he spoke, but had a ferocious look on his face.
"Hmph..."
Xiao Fan couldn't help but burst out laughing, "I say, brother, are you trying to rob me?"
"Right... right... that's it... robbery." The person on the right looked delighted and still stuttered when speaking.
"Hey, I'm telling you, brother, if you're going to rob me, just do it, why call me uncle too? How polite. However, this young master doesn't like being your uncle, if you think it's polite, you can call me grandfather instead, how about that, good grandson?" Xiao Fan said with a chuckle.
"You, you, you...you bastard..."
"Get out of the way and let me talk."
The man on the right had barely finished stuttering out his words when he was interrupted by the taller, burlier man on the left.
The big man on the left looked at Xiao Fang coldly, swung his long knife and sneered: "Little boy, don't bully my brother who is not eloquent, quickly take out all the money on your body."
"Actually, money is an external thing, taking it out to give to you is not a big deal. However, what if after getting the money, you still want my life? What am I supposed to do then? Wouldn't that be losing both my life and wealth?" Xiao Fan said.
"We, we, we... are... are... good bandits... only rob money... no, no, no... don't kill people." The stuttering guy on the right spoke up again, and while speaking, he also touched his hair knot, with a self-satisfied expression.
Xiao Fan looked at the bandit on his left, and saw that he no longer had the cold demeanor of before. Instead, he nodded in agreement, with a look of admiration on his face as he gazed at the person on the right: "My second brother is right, we've always only robbed wealth, never taken lives."
"Really? Alright, I'll give you all the money I have on me." Xiao Fan's face lit up with joy as he trembled and pulled out a gold coin from his body. "Two brothers, this is all the money I have on me, take it."
"One... one coin... gold coin..." The person on the right stuttered and cursed, "Let... let let... damn fart... who who who... who believes you..."
"Haha..." As soon as he heard the stuttering words of the person on his right, Xiao Fan couldn't help but laugh.
"Listen up, kid! Don't try to deceive us with just one gold coin. We'll give you another chance. If you don't hand over all your belongings, we'll make sure you're drenched in blood!" The burly bandit on the left growled menacingly.
"Oh, I'd like to see how you make Xiao Brother's blood splatter three feet." Just as Xiao Fan was about to speak, a faint voice with a hint of anger came from behind him.
"Cough cough, Liu Feng, how did you get here?" Xiao Fan turned his head around and saw Liu Feng walking slowly towards him with a long sword on his back.
"Xiao Brother." Walking up to Xiao Fan's front, Liu Feng's face revealed a smile.
"What a coincidence." Xiao Fan's face was filled with an amused smile, he had already taken the lead and walked ahead, yet this guy still managed to catch up. It seemed that Liu Feng had intentionally caught up, so what was his purpose?
Xiao Ge didn't say goodbye and left, making Xiao Di chase after him for a long time before finally catching up. Liu Feng said with a smile.
"What are you chasing me for?" Xiao Fan rolled his eyes, originally thinking that Liu Feng was chasing him with ill intentions. However, Liu Feng's direct words made Xiao Fan unclear about his good or evil intentions again.
"Little brother..."
"Now that you two are together, it's easier to handle. Hurry up and hand over all your valuables, otherwise I'll let you bleed three feet and give you one last chance." Just as Liu Feng was about to speak, he was interrupted by the robber on his left.
"I'm giving you a chance, get out of here immediately, otherwise don't blame me for being ruthless." Liu Feng coldly stared at the two robbers.
One...
"Hey, you little brat are even more arrogant than me."
"Two... three..."
Liu Feng's expression was cold and detached, but after the three words fell, his body shook, and the long sword behind him flew out of its scabbard and into his hand.
"One sword will defeat you all."
Liu Feng coldly smiled, his body moving with his sword, charging towards the two bandits. As he took action, eight strands of green yuan energy surrounded his long sword, transforming into a three-foot sword aura that could vanquish anything in its path.
"Bang..."
Two robbers brandished their long knives in resistance, but they only felt a gust of wind blow over, the wrists holding the knives turned cold, a sharp pain spread, and the two men's wrists spouted fresh blood, the knives falling to the ground.
"Hmm, it seems that Liu Feng has cultivated a wind-attribute technique, and this swordsmanship appears to be similar to the Great Wind Sword Technique, but also slightly more advanced." Xiao Fan looked at Liu Feng with a thoughtful expression.
"Get out!"
With one sword, Liu Feng knocked down the two bandits' weapons and instead of killing them, he coldly shouted at them.
"Your Excellency is brilliant, we concede defeat, thank you for sparing our lives."
The two robbers, after exchanging pleasantries, each covering their right hand which was spraying blood, slunk away in a sorry state, not even having time to pick up their weapons.
"Awesome, awesome." Xiao Fan smiled at Liu Feng, who had just demonstrated a great sword technique. He had grasped the true meaning of the wind and his sword moved with it, his body moving with his sword, unleashing the maximum power of the sword technique.
Moreover, in Xiao Fan's perception, although the two robbers looked stupid, their cultivation was not low. One was at the 7th rank of the Transcending Mortality realm and the other was at the 8th rank. The fact that Liu Feng could defeat both with a single sword strike was enough to show his extraordinary abilities.
"It's just a small trick, I'm afraid it's laughable to Brother Xiao." Liu Feng's face was tinged with a hint of embarrassment.
"Haha, if I'm not mistaken, you've already grasped the true meaning of the wind with this sword. Not bad at all." Xiao Fang laughed and said.
"Xiao brother's eyes are sharp." Liu Feng was shocked, he didn't expect Xiao Fan's eyes to be so venomous, and he actually saw through his true intentions at a glance.
"What's up with you, how did you end up here too?" Xiao Fang asked, patting Liu Feng's shoulder casually.
"It's embarrassing to say, but I only met Brother Xiao by chance." Liu Feng's face showed a hint of shyness. "I heard that the Three Extremes Sect's triennial disciple recruitment is about to begin, so I wanted to try my luck. I didn't expect to meet Brother Xiao here, which means we really have fate."
"Are you going to San Jue Men?" Xiao Fang looked at Liu Feng with a mischievous face.
"It is." Liu Feng looked at Xiao Fan and said, "Could it be that Brother Xiao is also going to the Three Extremes Gate?"
"What a coincidence." Xiao Fan said.
"Haha, it seems we indeed have fate, unexpectedly having the same destination. In that case, let's head to Sanjue Gate together!" Liu Feng looked at Xiao Fan with a surprised and delighted expression.
"Good."
Xiao Fan nodded, although a look of surprise appeared on his face, but deep down in his heart, he was filled with skepticism, as if it was all too coincidental...
