"For the past two days, we've been practicing Wu Xing Quan, today we're practicing Shi Er Xing."
Tang Zhendong has one advantage, no matter how late he sleeps, as long as he wants to get up, he can get up. People who are drunk for the first time are physically drunk but mentally sober, and Tang Zhendong is just that case.
Years of living habits have allowed Tang Zhendong to develop an extremely accurate biological clock, and as soon as the time arrives, he automatically wakes up.
Li Yuanshan taught Tang Zhendong Xingyiquan's Twelve Shapes today.
Xingyiquan is called Xingyiquan because it emphasizes form and even more emphasizes intent. Only by infusing intent into the form can one bring out the maximum power of the form.
Every species existing in nature has its own advanced features, according to the standard of survival of the fittest, species without advantages cannot survive. The world was born for so many years, many species have become extinct, and many new species have emerged. Was the giraffe's neck born that long? It shouldn't be, it was under the circumstances of food scarcity in the low-lying areas for a long time, always stretching its neck to hook up the food above, which made its neck longer. The hedgehog grows quills, the yellow mouse wolf farts stinky, and the venomous snake is highly toxic, these are all the survival skills of each animal.
Xingyiquan's twelve shapes are based on the characteristics and fighting skills of twelve animals: dragon, tiger, monkey, horse, alligator, chicken, swallow, hawk, snake, bear, eagle, and bear. In fact, the twelve shapes cannot be explained simply as imitative boxing, Xingyiquan emphasizes intent, incorporating the ferocity of the tiger into the fist, the agility of the monkey into the method, the lightness of the swallow, the strength of the bear, with different variations for different opponents.
"The twelve forms of Xingyiquan are truly easy to learn but difficult to master. It's easy to learn the twelve forms, but it's hard to fully incorporate the essence of these twelve animals into your fist method. You learned quickly, I originally thought that even the smartest person would need a few months to master Xingyiquan, but unexpectedly, you mastered it in less than a week. Remember, what you've learned is only superficial, to truly master Xingyiquan, it takes a lifetime."
Tang Zhen Dong learned the Xingyiquan method, he himself had a deep internal power, this internal power was cultivated in prison for 7 or 8 years. These 7 or 8 years of hard work, without any distractions, day and night, were extremely pure. With Tang Zhen Dong's deep internal power, plus his exceptional intelligence, he learned things very quickly.
"Zhen Dong, although I haven't formally accepted you as my disciple, you are the one who has entered the door the fastest among all the disciples I have taken in. You make me proud, but you can't be proud of yourself. The path of martial arts is full of dangers and difficulties everywhere, if you don't advance, you will retreat. Any bit of pride or complacency can prevent you from reaching the peak of martial arts for your entire life.
Also, although your kung fu skills are good, remember two phrases: 'Fist doesn't leave hand' and 'Practice makes perfect'. I give these to you as a gift. Only after you have practiced until you're familiar with it, can you feel the various changes in the fist techniques.
I'll come again tomorrow to see how your practice is going, then I'll be leaving. You must practice hard and make progress."
Today, there was no need to set up a stall. After Li Yuanshan left, Tang Zhendong practiced until after 9 o'clock, until he had mastered the twelve forms perfectly, before heading towards the small alley where they usually set up their stall near the train station.
"Xiao Tang, I'm telling you, this isn't right. Although we're not setting up a stall anymore, since we're going to be partners, you should at least have some attitude. It's already 9:30 now, what if a customer comes? You'll rush off and how can I trust you to go?"
Lao Ye smiled and scolded Tang Zhendong as soon as he saw him.
Tang Zhendong naturally smiled and said, "You're not unaware of my phone number, if you have something to say, just give me a call. Besides, you're a master of Feng Shui and physiognomy, I'm just your little assistant, whether I'm here or not doesn't affect Master Ye's level at all."
Old Ye nodded, "That's true, but if this master goes out without bringing a follower, doesn't it also seem like the level of this master is limited?"
Tang Zhendong burst out laughing, "Alright, alright! Let's talk business, no need to be so formal!"
"As for our cooperation, without business there's no way, but as long as there's business, we'll definitely do a good job." Old Ye didn't know if he was being too confident in himself or too trusting of Tang Zhendong, his tone was very bold.
"What's up? Sister-in-law is feeling pretty good today, huh?"
"Huh, how did you know?" Old Ye immediately slapped his forehead, "You let your sister-in-law see it, of course you knew, but what I'm curious about is how did you know that I was happy because of your sister-in-law's recovery?"
"Lao Ye, you're a person who can't hide your emotions well, happiness is written all over your face."
Lao Ye suddenly realized that he was indeed too happy today and had become somewhat arrogant. However, Lao Ye did have some admiration for Tang Zhendong. Tang Zhendong saw that he had talked a bit more than usual today and immediately realized it was because his wife's illness had taken a turn for the better. Just this reaction alone made Lao Ye admire him.
"I've been in this line of work for so many years, studying facial expressions almost my whole life, and you actually say I don't know how to hide my emotions? What a joke."
"When it comes to oneself, one becomes confused. This is a set phrase. Even if you spend another lifetime in the fortune-telling industry, as long as you are an emotional person, when it comes to relatives, you will still lose your sense of proportion."
"You little fruit seller, you talk quite philosophically. Alright, I can only agree that I'm a sentimental person! Sigh!"
Tang Zhendong burst out laughing.
"Lao Ye, are you really going to take me with you?" Tang Zhen Dong asked with a smile after looking at the only valuable item Lao Ye had laid out on the ground - a 20x30 white cloth with a huge yin-yang fish painted on it. On either side of the fish were eight large brush-written characters, like a couplet: "Iron mouth straight cut, one divination worth a thousand gold." At the top was written: "Hemp robe divine appearance".
This is Lao Ye's secret to mixing rice and eating well.
"What? Look down on my flag?" In the jianghu, everyone calls their own symbol a "flag". Old Ye was extremely familiar with the terminology of the jianghu, having spent many years wandering through it.
"Lao Ye, nowadays Feng Shui masters are no longer bare-handed. This is the technological era, if you're empty-handed, people won't trust you at all. At least hold some tools or something, so people can feel at ease."
Tang Zhendong's reminder made Old Ye suddenly realize why he couldn't make it big despite his efforts, and could only set up a small stall on the street. It turned out that he lacked equipment!
"Xiao Tang, you're really my lucky star, your words woke me up from my dream. Yes, that's right, I'm just lacking some equipment, so I've been stuck in this street vendor fate all along. Ah, Xiao Tang, what do you think we should buy to improve our image?"
"It depends on the positioning of our business. If we're doing Feng Shui for residential houses, then we need to use Lu Ban ruler; if it's for gravesites, then Ding Lan ruler is a must-have. Of course, another essential tool for Feng Shui masters is the compass, which is used regardless of whether it's for residential or gravesite Feng Shui. As for other things, we can prepare them as needed when problems arise."
Old Ye nodded, "Right, right, Little Tang, you're absolutely right. Let's go, we'll buy it now."
Lao Ye heard Tang Zhendong's words and didn't wait a moment before going to purchase the items Tang Zhendong mentioned.
"On the road, Old Ye suddenly remembered something and said, 'Hey, Little Tang, it seems we're not quite right. I'm a fortune teller, you're a fruit seller, how do you know so much? You know more than I do! Who's the master and who's the apprentice between us?"
"Of course you're the master, I'm the apprentice. Besides, at your age, it's not quite right to call you an apprentice either!"
What Tang Zhendong said at first was indeed true to Old Ye's ears, but the following sentence "At your age, saying you're a follower doesn't seem quite right!", made Old Ye very angry, however, Old Ye also had to admit that Tang Zhendong's knowledge of Feng Shui and divination was indeed on par with his own. Oh, it should be said that it was slightly stronger than his own.
"I told Old Ye, since we're in this line of work, things should be done properly. Making such a small compass is laughable."
"I'm not reluctant to buy a big one, I just feel that the small one is more convenient to carry when going out." Old Ye held a palm-sized pure copper luopan in his hand, fondling it lovingly.
