Chapter 4: Being a bad guy isn't easy either
As Huo Hai busied himself, a house full of traps and mechanisms appeared. A group of little guys stared blankly at Huo Hai's movements, unsure what this young master was trying to do. Had he lost his memory and become muddle-headed as well?
The half-open door of the house had a bucket on it, but there was no lime in the bucket. This wasn't because Hohai was being kind-hearted, but rather he couldn't find any lime and could only use some water as a substitute. On the lectern, a trap was disguised with straw, inside which was a clip, who knows if it was used to catch rats or not. This was something Hohai had discovered in the corner earlier.
"Haha, this is good." Huo Hai's eyes lit up as he pulled out a snake from the corner and put it into a box on the instructor's desk. The snake was just an ordinary wild animal, not some kind of spiritual beast.
As they watched Huo Hai's series of actions, a group of children opened their mouths, unsure of what to say. Just then, the instructor suddenly arrived. Through the window, a middle-aged man with a very proper appearance slowly walked towards here.
"The instructor is here, the instructor is here, everyone sit down quickly." Huo Hai shook his head and sat in the corner at the back. It seems that no matter which world it is, for students, instructors are always the most terrifying creatures.
A middle-aged man looked through the window and saw a child reading inside, nodded with satisfaction. Holding a book in one hand, he opened the door with the other. "Haha, it's time, it's time, my life as a bad person, Haohai's great young master, is starting now." Although Haohai pretended to be reading, his heart was extremely excited, finally able to become a bad person.
Huò Hǎi himself didn't know why he was so fixated on being a bad person. At the root of it, it might be because he and the original owner of this body had both died twice, which had stimulated Huò Hǎi to really believe that good people don't live long.
This extreme idea has thoroughly merged into Huo Hai's soul, and unfortunately, Huo Hai still hasn't discovered it until now.
The door was finally pushed open, and the bucket of water on top of it fell down at the first time. The mentor was about to become a drowned chicken. But what happened next made Ho Hai's eyes wide with wonder, this, this is not scientific.
The water bucket fell, and the instructor suddenly reacted. Without dodging the bucket, he swung his sleeve, which made a breaking sound, even emitting a faint glow, directly shattering the falling bucket into powder. The water inside the bucket splashed out. However, not a single drop landed on the instructor's body, and whenever a water droplet approached, it would be repelled by a special force.
"Damn, I forgot that this world isn't Earth. Many people here are spirit masters." Huo Hai finally understood why those children had been staring at him so strangely. It wasn't because they were scared of his actions, but because they were shocked.
It's astonishing that Hao Hai would have such a strange idea and create such a bizarre mechanism. What's even more astonishing is, isn't Hao Hai an idiot? Something so simple, even if he wanted to scheme against them, it probably wouldn't be easy.
These little kids don't have a strong cultivation base, but their reaction speed is not slow. The instructor glared fiercely at the people below the stage, no need to say that he also knew who did it. Isn't it this new one who came today?
It's been said that Young Master Ho has lost his memory, but he didn't believe it at first, thinking it was just the family head trying to deceive other families. But now he believes it, because if Young Master Ho hadn't lost his memory, how could he set up such a lowly trap? The trap is in the Spirit Realm Continent, and it's something that only the lowest of people would use. Except for hunters who aren't very strong, basically no one uses this kind of thing.
The mentor shook his head, such a young master, he didn't dare to teach him anything. Forget it, after all, he was also a subordinate of the Huo family, just slightly higher in status than ordinary subordinates.
Continue walking forward. The instructor's foot stepped on the clip. Something unexpected happened again. The clip did move, but it didn't clip the instructor's leg. The instructor actually pulled his leg back at the moment the clip started.
The successive attacks made the instructor somewhat annoyed. In his heart, he couldn't help but think that after today's class was over, he would go to the headmaster to report this student. This kid didn't understand respect for teachers at all. The instructor slowly sat down on the podium, and the classroom became very quiet. Everyone stared at the instructor, not daring to say a word.
Just as the instructor was about to speak, he suddenly saw a box on the table. After thinking for a moment, he waved his hand and swept the box away.
The snake inside then appeared in front of the instructor. The third unexpected thing happened again, and Huo Hai originally thought he could scare the instructor, but unexpectedly, the instructor was expressionless. After a long time, he nodded: "Very good, you have a heart, this matter, I will not pursue it." Seeing the snake, the instructor seemed to feel very satisfied.
He put the box back on and set it aside. Huo Hai's eyes widened as he thought carefully, thinking to himself: "This is bad, my mentor isn't afraid of snakes, I'm afraid he'll think this snake is a dish I sent him for dinner tonight."
At this point, all three of Huo Hai's traps had been completely eliminated, and the last one had even turned into a gift. Was it really that hard to be a bad person? Huo Hai couldn't help but wonder what he had done today.
"How awesome! A snake has bought off the instructor, it's really too awesome. How come we didn't think of giving the instructor something?" a little guy whispered to the person next to him, apparently they were all misunderstanding.
The little boy next to him whispered, "You don't understand, this is what's called wisdom. First set up two harmless traps, then send a snake, and that's how you build a relationship with the mentor. No wonder he's the young master, his mind is so agile. From now on, even if he doesn't have the identity of the young master in school, the mentor will still treat him better."
The other children nodded seriously, and their eyes looking at Huo Hai had changed.
"Damn it, is the trap I finally set up only worth a few words of 'no harm done'? Heaven, how unlucky can I be." Huo Hai didn't notice at all, with his current abilities, such a trap was indeed no big deal to him.
"Cough, cough." The instructor couldn't help but say: "All of you, make sure to do well. Yesterday I gave you some characters, have you all memorized them? Don't think that just because you're from the Huo family, you can be illiterate. If you don't understand the characters, you'll misunderstand during cultivation and regret it later. Many commoners have obtained spiritual formulas, but because they couldn't read, they were unable to cultivate. Don't waste this opportunity."
The instructor spoke up, and the children finally quieted down. The instructor nodded in satisfaction. "Good, now let's turn to page one, and first review what we covered over the past few days." As soon as the instructor started speaking, everyone began flipping through their books.
Huo Hai's face became even more gloomy, he finally knew why this school was all young children, it was simply a place to learn to recognize characters. As a university graduate himself, wouldn't he be able to recognize a few words?
"Wait, I don't recognize the words in this world at all." Huo Hai's face changed as he finally remembered that this wasn't Earth and couldn't be understood with common sense. In his memories, although there were methods for cultivating spiritual techniques, not a single word had appeared; it was just an instinctive ability to cultivate. As for written language, it really didn't exist in his mind.
The mentor also took into account the fact that Huo Hai had lost his memory, so he started from the first page. "In the first year of the mainland, a vast and uncivilized land, suddenly a rainbow appeared in the sky, the origin of the mainland began, with spiritual beasts..."
The teacher slowly and carefully began to recite. The little kids below also followed along, of course, except for Huo Hai, because he had long passed the age where he would recite books in such a slow and laborious manner, shaking his head and swaying back and forth.
The words in the book, Huo Hai felt both unfamiliar and very familiar. Unfamiliar, because the text on this continent was indeed different from that on Earth, which completely dispelled the lucky thoughts in Huo Hai's heart. Those descriptions of what fonts were used in other worlds, and they were even modern simplified characters, it was simply nonsense... Huo Hai cursed to himself.
A familiar feeling, it should come from the fusion of the previous owner's soul into my own. As for understanding the text, I'm afraid the former Hao Hai had already deeply penetrated every inch of his soul, and there was no need to leave any memories behind.
Following this familiar feeling, Huo Hai quickly recognized all these characters and deeply remembered them in his mind. Without deliberately memorizing, it was as if he had already learned them long ago. Now he was just reviewing them once again.
As he read on, Huo Hai's memory of the words became more and more profound, more and more fluent. Even words that had not been explained yet, Huo Hai could still recognize them. Huo Hai knew that this hurdle of words, he had already passed smoothly. From now on in this mainland, there would no longer be a situation where he couldn't understand written works.
Huo Hai did not leave immediately because he was attracted by the things in the book. The things on it were similar to the ancient texts he had seen before, and they were still untranslated and unpunctuated.
But after getting familiar with it, I felt that there was nothing wrong with it. Although this book is mainly a book for children to learn characters, the stories on it are some common knowledge on the mainland. From the legend of the origin of the continent to the myths of the continent, and even some trivial matters in daily life, everything is recorded in the book.
It can be said that as long as you read this little book from cover to cover, the common sense of this continent will generally not be a problem. So, Huo Hai didn't follow along and continue reading, but instead started looking at it on his own.
The idea of teasing the instructor had been thrown to the back of his mind when he was reading books. The look on Chu Yun Tian's face made the instructor feel delighted. It seemed that his memory for words had gradually been awakened.
