Chapter Forty-Four: Focused Cultivation
In the courtyard of the Desert Eagle Squad, the squad members were diligently practicing.
At the age of six, Ling'er was already a first-class Qi Infant. She had mastered both metal and wood elemental Qi and asked Long Ge for an archery manual - "The Archery Divine Manual".
This "Arrow God's Secret Book" records many arrow usage techniques. It is divided into two major categories, one belonging to Dou Qi attacks and the other belonging to spiritual attacks.
There are six types of Qi attacks: First, Ice Arrow; Second, Flame Arrow; Third, Exploding Arrow; Fourth, Cloud Piercing Arrow; Fifth, Multiple Arrows; Sixth, Shadowless Arrow.
The first one, Ice Arrow, as the name suggests, is an arrow that contains ice attribute Dou Qi. The object being shot will have its attack speed and movement speed greatly reduced, making it the best choice for dealing with fire attribute experts.
The second type, Flame Arrow, utilizes the fire attribute array on the bow to make the shot arrow carry the fire attribute Dou Qi. The object that is hit will burn on its surface, although the power is not great, but it's a good choice for consuming the opponent's Dou Qi.
The third type, explosive arrow, is to concentrate the fire attribute Dou Qi in a very small point, using the principle of compression explosion to make the surface of the object being shot explode, and its power is still quite good.
Fourth, the Cloud Piercing Arrow. This should be Rose's strongest arrow, as she excels at gold attribute Dou Qi, so the arrows she shoots out all have a sharp breaking effect. If you use the Cloud Piercing Arrow to break through defenses and then use the Exploding Arrow to explode inside the enemy's body, its power should increase by fivefold or more.
The fifth, multiple arrows, this is the use of linked pearl technique, in an instant shooting out many arrows, if let peak period Dragon Song to shoot, can simultaneously shoot twenty-four arrows, although each arrow's power is not great, but in group battles is extremely useful.
The sixth type, silent arrow, what is meant by "silent" is that it makes no sound and leaves no trace, or it can be hidden in another arrow, for example when using multiple arrows at the same time, sandwiching a powerful silent arrow in between, hehe, then the enemy will be at a disadvantage. This type of arrow is the first choice of assassins.
The spiritual attack arrow method has only three kinds, although there are only three kinds, it is not something that the current Rose can master.
The first type, Breaking Arrow, is an arrow that breaks the stalemate when both sides are facing each other. When this arrow is shot, it brings out waves of shrill whistling sounds, not only disrupting the opponent's mental state but also breaking their accumulated momentum. This arrow is most effective in group battles. This arrow is also the only spiritual attack arrow technique that Rose can currently practice.
The second type, Soul-Devouring Arrow, uses the principle of spiritual attack to attack the enemy. Once hit, not only will the spiritual power be greatly reduced, but the soul will also be absorbed. Against those with lower cultivation levels than oneself, it can achieve instant kill effect, and against those of the same level, it can greatly weaken the opponent's combat strength, thereby achieving the goal of defeating the enemy in one move.
The third one, Devouring Spirit Arrow, just by looking at the name it's very frightening, devouring the primordial spirit! Back then, Long Gou self-destructed because he ate the Great Condensing Pill to ensure his primordial spirit didn't scatter, but if he were hit by this arrow, I estimate that even if his primordial spirit doesn't shatter, its stability would greatly decrease. Therefore, Rose choosing to practice archery is also a good choice, once she reaches the later stages and masters Devouring Spirit Arrow, at that time she'll basically be invincible, of course, to learn this arrow technique one must reach the Air King level, so Rose still has a very long way to go.
Long after, Rose was called "Goddess of Bow and Arrow!"
The rose needs to practice, and there must be a target. This unfortunate target is played by her brother - Jin Zi!
At the age of seven, Jin Zi has already broken through to the second level of Qi Infancy, with a Dou Qi energy that is twice that of Mei Gui. He can still block Mei Gui's attacks, but to be on the safe side, he asked Long Ge for a set of shield techniques, meaning from now on he will focus on defensive shield techniques.
This set of shield techniques is called the "Fumo Shield Technique". One hand holds a shield, and the other hand can also hold a sword. So Long Ge gave him another set of sword techniques, called the "Xianglong Sword Technique".
The Demon-Subduing Shield Technique has four forms, which are: First Form, Crouching Dog Style; Second Form, Crouching Wolf Style; Third Form, Crouching Tiger Style; Fourth Form, Crouching Dragon Style.
The first move, Fugou style, is used to deal with opponents of the Louluo level. With a disdainful attitude, eliminate the opponent, so there is the saying "Fugou style". This move is the easiest to practice, and Jin Ziyu can master it after just one practice session.
The second formula, Fú Láng Shì, is used to deal with opponents of the same level as oneself. In this case, a more sharp shield method must be used to knock the opponent unconscious with a shield before finishing them off.
The third move, Fú Hǔ Shì (伏虎式), is used to counter opponents who are stronger than oneself. This shield technique requires the courage and momentum to match one's opponent, so it doesn't just rely on physical strength but also spiritual power. Therefore, it's relatively difficult to practice, but once mastered, one can challenge opponents of a higher level. This move is what Jīn Zǐ (金梓) wants to master most, as he always wants to challenge the new rankings and obtain a golden-grade weapon.
The fourth move, Fú Lóng Shì (Hidden Dragon Style), is to surpass the tenth level of combat. In other words, a first-level Qi Ling challenging a first-level Qi Xing, this powerful move is also extremely difficult to master. Once mastered, it will be super powerful, so Jin Zi's potential is also limitless!
The Dragon-Slaying Sword Technique has four forms, namely: First Form, Slaughtering the Dog; Second Form, Slaughtering the Wolf; Third Form, Slaughtering the Tiger; Fourth Form, Slaughtering the Dragon.
After reading "Dragon-Slaying Sword Technique", it was completely paired with "Demon-Subduing Sword Technique", so after a long time, Jin Zi was called "Dragon-Slaying Demon-Subduing Zi".
As the principles of "Dragon-Slaying Sword Method" and "Demon-Subduing Sword Method" are roughly the same, I won't elaborate on them here.
Where is Longdi? What is Longdi practicing?
At the age of seven, Long Di, a fourth-grade martial artist, asked Long Ge for a set of sword techniques - "Dugu Sword Techniques". This set of sword techniques was said to have been created by Dugu Xiaowu, but after being improved upon by later generations, it had become completely different. Therefore, Long Ge renamed it the "Fallen Leaf Sword Techniques".
The "Rakuyo-ken" sword technique has six forms:
First form, One Sword Rolls the Fallen Leaves;
Second form, One Sword Transforms into Myriad Swords;
Third form, One Sword Rages and Charges Forward;
Fourth form, One Sword Changes to No Sword;
Fifth form, Man and Sword Become One;
Sixth form, Heaven, Man, and Sword Unite as One.
The first move, a sword rolls down the fallen leaves, meaning that the sword is very fast and accurate. In autumn, the leaves fall in profusion, but this sword can pierce through all the falling leaves one by one. If facing an enemy on the battlefield, the enemy's vital points are completely covered by this sword. This move is the best choice for both group attacks and solo battles!
The second move, one sword turns into thousands, is to quickly dance with the long sword, making the long sword transform into thousands, so that the enemy does not know where the sword appears, it has the effect of confusing the enemy and also has the characteristic of group attack, what a great move!
The third form, one sword furious rush to the crown, is to fight with the enemy with an unstoppable momentum, not only putting pressure on the enemy in terms of momentum, but also adopting a desperate approach in combat. This form can play a huge role when at a disadvantage or in a state of anger.
The fourth move, a sword becomes invisible, is when the sword suddenly disappears in battle. Although it doesn't seem like much, if one person's weapon suddenly disappears during a fight, the other person will definitely be momentarily stunned. Take advantage of that momentary confusion to strike and kill with the sword. However, this move is extremely difficult to master, and sometimes collecting the sword at the wrong time can lead to disaster.
The fifth form, man and sword become one. This swordsmanship requires that the person and the sword be integrated into a single entity. The principle is the same as Long Fist's "man and spear as one". Only when this state is reached can one be considered a master.
The sixth form, Heaven and Man Sword Unite as One. This form requires the unity of man and sword with the elemental energy around him to achieve a state of oneness with heaven and earth. This is the same principle as Dragon Song Heaven Gun Unite as One. To reach this state, one's spiritual power must be extremely high, so this is the most difficult to practice.
Long after, Longdi was called "The Fallen Leaf Divine Sword Di" by others.
But practice always needs an opponent, so Long Ge becomes Long Di's opponent.
At the age of six, Long Song's seven-level dragon chant was not daring to fight with Long Di at full strength, and could only suppress his own fighting spirit to a level lower than Long Di's. Otherwise, the highly skilled Long Di would quickly make Long Di lose.
Long Song is currently practicing two sets of gunplay, namely "Pear Flower Gunplay" and "Dragon Family Gunplay". The former has been mentioned earlier, so let's talk about the Dragon Family Gunplay.
The Long Family Gun Method consists of six forms: First Form, Authority Without Anger; Second Form, Overpowering Aura; Third Form, Turning Back the Tide; Fourth Form, Now Hidden, Now Revealed; Fifth Form, Vast Ocean Currents; Sixth Form, Unstoppable Force.
The first form, not angry but majestic, is to utilize one's own aura and spiritual power to infuse into the gun, intimidating the opponent before battle. This requires a certain level of fusion with the heavens and earth, so although it's called the first form, it's actually quite difficult to practice. As Dragon Song's abilities and spiritual power continue to grow, the might of this move will become increasingly apparent!
The second move, with an aura of dominance, is to instantly absorb the elemental energy from the surroundings and then release it in an instant through the gun. This move will make the whole body and the gun's fighting spirit overflow, not only can intimidate the enemy, boost one's own morale, but also increase the degree of elegance and dominance, no wonder it's the best way to attract girls!
The third move, "Peak Return Route", is to attack the enemy from an unimaginable angle when there's no possibility of doing so, not only making the enemy unexpected and confused, but also gaining the upper hand in a confrontation, it's indeed a good move!
The fourth form, with its elusive and unpredictable movements, is like a will-o'-the-wisp, sometimes hiding the gun's shadow in the midst of the swirling energy, and sometimes suddenly revealing it, making it impossible for the enemy to defend against. Not only are the moves beautiful and elegant, but their practicality and power are also extremely high.
The fifth move, Tsang Hai Heng Liu, as the saying goes, "Tsang Hai Heng Liu" reveals the true character of a hero. This move is used when in crisis to turn the tide, in single combat to turn disadvantage into advantage, and in group battles to stand out and fight against the enemy's main force. The principle of this move is to use the momentum of heaven and earth and spiritual power to instill an unshakeable belief in victory, then condense all one's fighting energy and gun into a unified whole with heaven and earth, thereby achieving the purpose of counterattacking and winning.
The sixth form, Unyielding and Unconquerable, is to condense the body's aura into a single bundle and then infuse it into the gun, causing the gun to emit an unstoppable aura in an instant, just like the demonstration by Tian Long. The characteristic of this move lies in its concentrated energy, which requires great mental strength to concentrate energy at one point. If supported by golden attribute aura, its power is even more evident, and can instantly kill opponents of a higher level than oneself. Therefore, when the Dragon Family practices the "Dragon Family Gun Technique", it is not only twice as effective but also doubles in power. This set of gun techniques is said to have been created by Long Lei back then.
Because of Long Ge's exceptional marksmanship, he was later known as "Lihua Divine Gun Song". (Note: This chapter is also the tactics used by the Desert Eagle Squad afterwards, so it's described in more detail.)
Just when the Desert Eagle team was actively practicing, an unexpected guest suddenly arrived.
