Chapter 11: A White Colt Passes Through a Crack

Chapter 14: A White Colt Passes Through a Crack

The following days were really tiring for me, after the puppies opened their eyes, I started to contact them, observing their movements; behavior; body shape; coat color... Later, I finally chose a gentle and not overly affectionate dog "Naru" as my training dog.

Nowadays, raising dogs is popular, and many people raise German Shepherds. However, I found that most people prefer dogs with a curved back, while those with a straight back are rarely sought after. In fact, there's no difference between the two, and a curved back doesn't necessarily mean a purer bloodline than a straight back. If we're talking about endurance for long-distance running, straight-backed dogs actually have an advantage.

In addition, I personally think that to truly assess whether a dog is excellent or not, bloodline is not the only standard. Sometimes, a mixed-breed dog's intelligence may not necessarily be inferior to that of a purebred dog with a noble lineage. It's just like humans - the children of emperors are not necessarily all geniuses, and the descendants of commoners are not necessarily mediocre. As the saying goes, "Are kings, princes, generals, and ministers born of noble blood?"

When Naluo was very young, I took her to the training dog's cage in front of a Tibetan Mastiff and observed her reaction. Good guy, although only one month old, barking with a milky tone, but still fearless and pounced straight up. Unlike other dogs that tucked their tails and didn't dare to make a sound.

Great!!! This is exactly the "Haba dog bites wolf - - - - gave up his life" spirit that I want. That's why I chose "Naru".

Let's talk about the Tibetan Mastiff. The purebred Tibetan Mastiff is absolutely the king of dogs, and I use "king" instead of "emperor" because its brave and arrogant spirit is similar to that of Xiang Yu, the King of Chu who dared to be the enemy of all under heaven with a single spear. However, they are difficult to train due to their wild nature, unstable emotions, and tendency to go crazy when they can't even be held back by their owners. With average intelligence, one of our training class leaders spent three months trying to teach a Tibetan Mastiff to fetch objects, but in the end, it picked up an old shoe instead of the tennis ball that was thrown out.

The most important thing is that the Tibetan Mastiff can only maintain its wild nature by eating blood food, and the cost is not something that ordinary people can afford. To sum it up, the Tibetan Mastiff has super strong fighting power, but does not obey commands, and behaves entirely according to its own preferences. It's suitable for rich people to raise as a status symbol, but there's no hope of training it as a working dog. The Tibetan Mastiffs in our unit are raised as assistant training dogs. They are used to train the courage of military dogs and their bravery when facing strong enemies, but they do not participate in training or service themselves.

During this period, every week I would find time to go and see the little dog with a disability that was fostered by a farming household. Of course, each time I went, I would bring some food for it.

The first time I went to chat with the old man and didn't return until very late, the second time I went, I found that the old man had forcibly weaned those small Haba dogs that hadn't been weaned yet, and moved the little mother dog and the puppy I brought over to the kang in the west wing. It made me smile bitterly.

Because its entire head except for the nose and two eye circles are all white fur, I gave him a name "White Wolf".

The white wolf had just opened its eyes, and the little wet nurse "went on strike". The white wolf grew too fast, and its appetite was also big. The small mother dog simply didn't have enough milk to feed it, so from the time it could eat food, every time I went over there, I would bring some bones and granular feed.

I originally wanted to wait until it grew up a bit, then think of a way to settle it down, but I didn't know what kind of evil the local authorities had committed, and suddenly a strong gust of wind came, a group of city management officers carrying nets and sticks walked around the streets beating dogs, those who hadn't registered their dogs were directly beaten to death and taken away. For its life safety, I could only bring White Wolf back, find a secluded cave to temporarily settle it down.

When "Naru" and "White Wolf" were one month old, I started training them.

"Na Lu" has a good fighting spirit, is calm and composed, with strong comprehension skills, and can easily grasp basic subjects.

"The White Wolf" is a completely different story, after all, it's a female dog, very close to people from the beginning, and not very aggressive. During training, it often pretends to be lazy and doesn't want to get up, I also don't have the heart to hit it. However, "White Wolf"'s sense of smell is particularly keen, far surpassing other dogs of the same kind. I've put extra effort into this aspect.

Training two dogs is a headache, but I still squeezed out some time to practice the "Five Elements Observation Technique" according to the incomplete oral formula in "Supplement". After several months, I can clearly observe the different auras emitted by people and animals. Although I don't understand how to sense soul energy and spirit energy yet, the initial glimpse of observing blood energy is really exciting, and I secretly sigh that "the ancients did not deceive me", and my practice becomes more frequent and diligent.

Much ado about nothing, no fuss when there's nothing to fuss about. Before I knew it, another year had passed and I was promoted to be the monitor of our training class. With the allowance plus the monitor fee as well as special post subsidy, I can now earn more than 100 yuan a month, which is basically enough to satisfy my smoking addiction that grows with my military age.

During this period, not only the progress of the two dogs made me feel relieved, but also the rapid progress of "Wu Xing Guan Qi Shu" really made me ecstatic. Now I can easily observe the breath of humans and animals and judge their five-line attributes and other details based on the color of their breath.

Unfortunately, "Supplement" records are incomplete after all, so my rapid progress can only stop at the threshold of looking at blood gas. It really makes me clench my fist and sigh.

Because this "Supplement" was discovered by me and Jin Gang Pao together, I found an opportunity to call him over and told him about the method of looking at qi and the oral formula, he looked at me with a gaze like a mentally ill person.

Then I stretched out my five fingers to let him see the aura, and he looked at my hand for a long time with his eyes narrowed. I carefully asked him what he saw. The other person's answer made me vomit blood: "You have two sieves and three Dou".

After trying a few more times, I finally gave up completely, but he didn't give up at all. When there was an opportunity, he still came over to rub against me and gnaw on my bones.

I used to enjoy this peaceful and fulfilling life, but it was ruined by Jin Gang Pao, the owl cat. This guy caused a huge disaster when he came home for a visit, making me worry about money for the first time in my life and forcing us to explore the ancient tomb of Dongshan again.
