Chapter 15: The Ancient Tombs Horrific Soul

Chapter Fifteen: The Ancient Tomb's Horrifying Soul

The sudden and immense shock left my mind in a state of brief numbness. The only thought left in my head was: How did I end up lying in a coffin...

Jin Gang Cannon was even more tense than me, in the dead of night in such a gloomy tomb, he actually saw an ancient corpse that looked similar to his only companion in the coffin, and for a moment, my eyes revealed not only fear but also suspicion.

I shook my head, trying to make myself a bit more awake. I touched my forehead with my hand, the big zit that had appeared a few days ago was still there, it's me, I'm still me. My mind slightly cleared up.

I looked up to see Jin Gang cannon pointing his big chopping knife at me, his whole body drenched in sweat and trembling. "O-ol-old... wh-wh-who are you?" This guy had a habit of stuttering when he got nervous.

"I am me, what are you doing with a chopper?" I glared at him.

"What about him?" Jin Gang Pao tossed up a lit cigarette with his neck arched back.

I caught it in one go and took two strong puffs "circling around the coffin."

I hadn't even finished my cigarette when the giant snake stopped moving, its massive head facing the stone coffin, its mouth wide open. I nervously extinguished my cigarette and crouched down. Just as I was about to jump out, something strange happened - the giant snake's enormous body began to convulse, its blood-filled maw opening with great effort, its expression twisted in agony. Its tail thrashed back and forth against the floor of the tomb, sending stone blocks flying everywhere. Suddenly, a small round object fell from its mouth into the coffin.

The giant snake laboriously spat out the round object, looking relieved, but also somewhat limp. It raised its massive snake head, and its pale eyes stared in my direction, letting out two weak hisses. After that, it slowly circled around the stone coffin once, before slowly slithering back to its original corner, where it curled up and remained still.

  "Get ready for the cannon!"

"What's going on? Let's hurry up and leave" He really didn't want to let the Diamond Cannon enter this terrifying place.

"Give it back to me, let's cover the coffin for others and leave." I always feel that this matter is very important, although I don't know why I have such a feeling.

The cannon couldn't get the better of me, so I grunted and jumped up. I used all my strength to pull him up. The first thing he did when he came up was to shine his flashlight on that giant snake. Seeing the snake listlessly curled up in the corner, he felt a little relieved.

We walked closer to the stone coffin, and I shone my flashlight on it. All I saw was a pure black, pigeon-egg-sized round bead lying on the ancient corpse's shoulder. I picked it up and put it in my pocket. "What is that thing?" Jin Gang Pao asked.

"Snake egg", I teased him with a smile.

As we spoke, the two of us walked to the side of the coffin lid, lifted it up with great effort, and just as we were about to put it down into the stone coffin, I bent my head to take a look inside. "Wow!" I exclaimed, and let go of my grip.

"My grass, you're older than me, you take revenge on me" The diamond cannon is more powerful than me, I threw this head and he actually held on to that head without letting go.

"Put it down first and come take a look." I beckoned him over.

"Damn, I'm scared to death! How did it rot so quickly?"

It turned out that in the short time it took for us to lift the coffin lid, the ancient corpse inside had withered and rotted at a speed visible to the naked eye, until finally only a pale skeleton was left. Even the clothes on the ancient corpse's body had turned into mud.

"Damn it, let's get out of here quickly. Today has been a terrible night and if we stay any longer, I'll go crazy." Jingang Cannon said as he reached out to grab the Taoist crown from the stone coffin. He muttered to himself, "This time I should be able to get it, right?"

"No way, this time we can't get it either. Let's hurry up and lift it to cover him." I grabbed his hand.

"Why can't I take it? You just took that snake egg earlier." The golden Dao crown has a great attraction to the Vajra cannon.

"That was with their permission, they even yelled at me after they were done, it means they gave it to me." I argued irrationally.

"Hurry up and you'll bully me again." Jin Gang Cannon muttered as he lifted the coffin lid with me and covered it again.

"Go to the north and bring that chessboard and pieces, they are antiques and can be sold for a lot of money. Those two jars for holding chess pieces might even be made of gold." In order to distract him, I need to find something for him to do.

He heard gold and his eyes lit up, he quickly ran over to pick it up.

I took another look at the corner where the giant snake was coiled, made a bow to it, and jumped down with Jin Gang Pao one after another.
