Chapter 71: The Nokian Family
The table had three men and two women, with the leading figure being a blue-haired beauty in her early twenties. She was surrounded by her companions, who were all injured and covered in blood. They were protecting several horse-drawn carriages, and their eyes were fixed on the group of thieves that had them surrounded.
Among the warriors, one seven-stage white gold warrior and two six-stage yellow gold warriors were facing off against a man with a scar on his face. One of the six-stage yellow gold warriors had lost an arm, but he didn't flinch, his eyes fixed intently on the scar-faced man.
The blue-haired woman and a woman named Melin were surrounded by the crowd, their faces filled with desperation. At their feet lay the bodies of their fallen companions, and many of those who remained were injured.
When Hua Yun and his group appeared, the blue-haired woman's face lit up with hope. "Can you please let us pass? We need to hurry on our journey!" Hua Yun said coldly, eyeing the thieves surrounding them.
The thieves were about to attack when the scar-faced man intervened. "Let them go," he said, and the thieves parted to let Hua Yun's group through.
As a palace mage of the kingdom, Talia was itching to take action against the thieves, but since Hua Yun had spoken up, she didn't say anything.
The blue-haired woman, who introduced herself as Karan of the Nokian family, called out to Hua Yun and his group. "Please, we need your help! We'll be eternally grateful if you can save us!"
When it seemed like Hua Yun's group was unwilling to help, Karan exclaimed, "If you won't lend a hand, then so be it! But please, if you see anyone from the Nokian family, tell them that I, Karan, was killed by the Stormwind Thief Gang!"
The scar-faced man's expression changed when he heard Karan's words, and he ordered his men to surround Hua Yun's group once again.
