Chapter One Hundred and Seventy-Nine: Tombstone

On the tombstone were added three words: "Agreed with him."

Zuo Mo had already made up his mind these past few days to not fall for Pu Yao's temptation. The "Great Leaf Hand" and the "Small Leaf Hand" both had him infatuated, but he still decided to refuse this deal that seemed too good to be true.

Pu Yao's introduction to the mountain body was not detailed enough, but Zuo Mo understood in his heart that he was able to cultivate so quickly thanks to the black tombstone. The "Diamond Sutra" wasn't an exceptional mental technique, and it could have such a miraculous effect only if those five sentences were different from the jade slip's incantation.

Although Pu Yao didn't say much and his words were somewhat disdainful towards the mountain, Zuo Mo was still able to easily sense the mountain's power.

The moment of breakthrough, the feeling of power surging through his body, he savored for a long time.

He felt the taste of power so clearly and directly for the first time.

Pú Yāo's extremely poor credit also made Zuǒ Mò completely distrust him. Even though "Dà Qiān Yè Shǒu" and "Xiǎo Qiān Yè Shǒu" moved his heart greatly, he clearly knew that the things Pú Yāo gave out often looked sweet but didn't taste as sweet.

"Jin Gang Wei Yan" doesn't have anything too profound, extremely suitable for the left Mo's taste, unknowingly cultivating to the mountain body, also proving that he has this aspect of innate talent. Rather than putting treasure on the untrustworthy Pu Yao, it's better to stick to what you already have.

At a deeper level, he didn't think about it, as long as he could reach the boundary of breaking through in an instant. He believed that with that power, even in a chaotic world, he also had some survival strength.

After thinking for several days, he finally made up his mind and ran to the Sea of Knowledge with determination, preparing to refuse Pu Yao, but was shocked to see three words quietly appearing on the tombstone.

A strange and extraordinary feeling rose in his heart. It was as if the tombstone under Pu's buttocks was actually a living thing. This idea was so absurd that even Zuo Mo himself felt that he must have thought too much these past few days and had begun to hallucinate.

Three words on the tombstone, bold and eye-catching.

  Not an illusion!

"What's on your mind?" The careless voice of Pu Yao suddenly sounded beside Zuo Mo's ear.

Zuo Mo's heart skipped a beat as he caught sight of the three words on the tombstone, which quietly faded away. In the blink of an eye, the three distinct words that were there just a moment ago had vanished without a trace.

  Is this tombstone really alive?

Zuo Mo muttered to himself in a confused manner, his mouth responding with: "Uh-huh, I've thought about it for a long time."

If this tombstone were really alive...

Suddenly, he remembered that when he first met the Pú Yāo, he fainted and in his daze heard an ancient, solemn voice. Before this, he had always thought it was the Pú Yāo, but now thinking carefully, that voice was dignified and majestic, completely different from the strange and eerie Pú Yāo. Previously, he had ignored this question because in the sea of recognition, apart from the Pú Yāo, there was no one else.

The last time the epitaph appeared in "Diamond Sutra", it did not trigger such an association.

  "Agree with him."

Such a three-word phrase, apart from living creatures with brains, even the most outstanding magical artifacts cannot utter such humanized words.

The more he thought about him, the more he felt that tombstones were living things.

His brain was racing fast, and his words couldn't keep up, making him look even more stiff and awkward today.

  "Then what?"

Zuo Mo subconsciously replied from his mouth, "I still need to think about it." He simply ignored Pu Yao and sat down cross-legged, anyway the words on the tombstone had already disappeared.

Pu Yao was somewhat surprised, Zuo Mo entered the Sea of Consciousness, he should have made a decision already, could it be that he had a change of heart at the last minute? He didn't think so. He and Zuo Mo had spent quite some time together, although Zuo Mo would sometimes hesitate, but once he made a decision, he would never waver, becoming resolute and ruthless, even Pu Yao was somewhat shocked.

How can I be hesitant at this critical moment?

However, even if he wanted to crack his head open, he wouldn't have thought that he would be kicked by the tombstone under his butt.

Sat down and thought carefully about it.

The tombstone should be a living thing, no, maybe there is something alive under the tombstone.

Now that I think about it carefully, the tombstone last appeared with "Diamond Sutra" when Pu Yao was in a trance. This time, the tombstone again appeared in front of Pu Yao and humiliated him.

Isn't there a feud between Mo Fei's tombstone and Pu Yao?

The Pú Yāo usually sits on the tombstone, and in the past, Zuǒ Mò always thought that the Pú Yāo was guarding the grave. Now thinking about it, it seems to have a more suppressive meaning. Could it be that under the tombstone is sealed something powerful that the Pú Yāo is afraid of, so he personally guards the tomb?

This guess is very reasonable, Zuo Mo thought that even if there was no feud, the relationship between the grave monument and Pu Yao would not be harmonious. Otherwise, it would not have appeared twice that the grave monument targeted Pu Yao.

Suddenly, Zuo Mo had a bit of understanding about Pu Yao's intentions.

Pu Yao needs the earth energy for what, he has never said. Now it seems that Pu Yao's proposed transaction this time is clearly aimed at Zuo Mo's newly formed mountain.

Zuo Mo suddenly didn't understand again.

If the relationship between Pu Yao and Mo Bei was really that bad, Pu Yao could have simply not allowed him to cultivate the "Jin Gang Wei Yan". But Pu Yao didn't stop him from cultivating Mo Bei's "Jin Gang Wei Yan". If Pu Yao had targeted Zuo Mo's mountain, he also had more than enough methods to deal with it.

Pu You is not a broad-minded guy, he will definitely take revenge on those who have grudges against him and will be the first to make his move. Pu You will never tolerate his enemies and give them any chance to counterattack.

As for Zuo Mo himself, he didn't think that he could have any influence on Pu Yao amidst the animosity between them.

The more he thought about it, the more confused Luo Mo became.

He simply didn't think about the relationship between Pú and the tombstone, what he needed to consider was which choice would be more beneficial for himself. The promise of the Pú yāo was something that Zuǒ Mò couldn't trust at all. Relatively speaking, he was more willing to believe in the words on the tombstone. The "Jīn gāng wēi yán" (Diamond Sutra) on the tombstone gave him real benefits.

No mysterious descriptions, but real power, which can move Zuo Mo even more.

If we consider Pu Yao and Mu Bei as two people, Pu Yao has a bad record, while Mu Bei has a good one.

Zuo Mo felt puzzled, this was clearly going to hinder the progress of his physical training, why did he still agree? Was it...

Suddenly an idea popped into his mind: Is there a way to solve the tombstone?

Zuo Mo's spirit suddenly shook, it was very likely! If not, the tombstone would not have allowed itself to agree with Pu Yao. If the tombstone had not been diligent in cultivating its own body, it would not have passed down the "Vajra Secret Words" to him earlier.

He believes that every action has a purpose.

The tombstone imparting the "Diamond Sutra" must have its purpose, it's just that I don't know what it is yet. But since it has a purpose, it won't let my previous efforts go to waste so easily. Otherwise, there would be no need for it to impart the "Diamond Sutra" to me.

As for the tombstone, it was simply passed down out of interest and even Zuo Mo himself didn't believe it.

Can't guess their purpose, but Zuo Mo can judge how to be more beneficial to himself.

He decided to listen to the tombstone. Having made up his mind, he began to think that the tombstone would give him a solution. Thinking of "Diamond Sutra" and the three words that appeared earlier, he decided to run more in the sea of knowledge from now on.

After understanding, Zuo Mo stood up and walked in front of Pu Yao.

"Ah, I've made up my mind, deal!"

"Your choice is wise." Pu Yao's lips, cold as a knife edge, curved into a slight arc.

Falling into Youmo's left eye, it always makes him feel that Pu Yao's smile contains a few unusual contents, as if to confirm some of his guesses.

The first chapter of "Dà Qiān Yè Shǒu" and the first three chapters of "Xiǎo Qiān Yè Shǒu" arrived, and Mo Li immediately devoured them like a starving person.

"The Fetal Breath Refining Spirit" is abstruse and difficult to understand, and even today, he has made very little progress. These two techniques are somewhat difficult to understand, but compared to "The Fetal Breath Refining Spirit", they are much easier to comprehend. Pu Yao's willingness to personally teach the "Small Thousand Leaf Hand" was the most unexpected thing for Zuo Mo.

He took the opportunity to ask Pu Yao some questions that he had been puzzled about, but unexpectedly, Pu Yao was very generous and answered him with great patience, almost to the point of being tedious, making even Zuo Mo feel honored.

What a great opportunity it is! If you don't make good use of it, then you're a fool. So let's seize the chance to sort out all the puzzles that have been bothering me for a long time.

After sorting it out, he suddenly felt that even if there were no two sets of techniques, it was worth it!

This set of techniques about spiritual awareness is, if we talk about its subtlety and mysteriousness, far beyond any one of the jade slips, it's simply like the difference between heaven and earth.

But in a deal with a demon, you can never experience pure joy, accompanied by the pain of cutting flesh that will always be there.

Under the guidance of Pu Yao, he quickly learned how to extract earth energy from the ground. The earth energy used in Body Refining and the "Earth Energy Technique" in Zuo Mo's cultivation method were completely different despite sharing the same name.

"The Earth Qi" in "The Earth Qi Formula" refers to the energy of the soil that nurtures growth. However, the earth qi that Mo is currently extracting is a kind of thick and solid power. The only similarity between the two is that they both have the characteristic of nourishing thickness, but "The Earth Qi Formula" nourishes the spiritual foundation, while the earth qi used for body refinement nourishes the physical body.

Careful Left Mo discovered that there were two factors why he could absorb the earth's energy. One was that his body had reached the mountain level, and the other reason was the magic tattoo.

The magical tattoos carved on Zuo Mo's body by Pu Yao allowed his body to communicate with the earth, incredibly mysterious.

He now somewhat understands why demons cultivate their physical bodies, because they are born with demonic patterns and are the sons of the earth.

When absorbing the earth's energy, it feels comfortable and intoxicating. A bit of condensed power slowly enters the body from both legs, nourishing every part of the body. You can feel the power gradually filling up inside you, and you can feel an unprecedented calmness that is addictive.

But the earth energy that had just been absorbed was instantly drained by the evil spirit, which was absolutely a form of cruel punishment!

The power inside him was suddenly drained, and his brain even had a brief blank when he came to himself. Weakness and lack of strength made him feel like he had been bedridden for a long time. Severe dizziness and nausea ruined all his appetite, ruining all his interest.

Every time he was sucked away by Pu Yao with the earth energy he had just absorbed, he only had one thought, which was to fall asleep.

However, he didn't sleep; he needed to cultivate.
