Strategy·Gathering of Seven Stars

  Yue Qing helped the Golden Needle Saint Mother rebuild Hengshan, bringing back ore from Beihai and smelting it into black gold. On the top of Beishan, she cast the Black Emperor Palace, gathering the nine heavenly winds above and the nine earthly evils below to serve as a whetstone for future needle refinement. Coincidentally, Xu Fei Niang returned from Xiji with a bottle of true water, which Yue Qing used to create a lake on the mountain top, transforming it into the Xuanming Tianchi. She delved deep into the mountain's belly, combing through the earth's veins and gathering 108 waterways to flow upwards into the pool, creating living water. From there, she drew out two heavenly rivers that connected to the Rainbow Bridge and Cloud Ladder, leading directly to the top of the main peak, the Ziwu Palace. There were also the Hou Tu Temple, Xuanwu Palace, Lingguan Hall, all the way to the North Heavenly Gate.

  Choosing a good day, flying letters and invitations were sent to invite guests. The Wudang Sect and the Quanzhen Sect were nearby, so almost all members participated. There was Liu Bu Xuan from the Maoshan Sect, Wu Li from the Laojun Sect, Mr. Zhong from the Kunlun Sect, and Zhang Sanfeng from the Wudang Sect. Also present were the scattered immortals such as Master Xiaoyue Chan, Master Mingzhu Chan, Yin Sutang and more than 50 other sword immortals.

  Among the guests who came, there was one who was quite unexpected. It was the Great Truth of the Nine Immortals Cave on Mount Wu's Divine Sheep Peak, Shen Tuo Yixiu. He and the Golden Needle Saint Mother were actually old friends, and he arrived several days in advance to help set up the rainbow bridge.

  Yi Xiu never thought he would see Shang Zhu here, and the two brothers told each other about their experiences. Yi Xiu was ambushed by many sword immortals, moved mountains and rivers, and was trapped under a giant peak for 49 years. He had only recently broken through using the pre-heavenly five elements true fire to refine and unlock the seal. Shang Zhu, on the other hand, was sealed in a mountain valley due to Zhu Que's fault, until he was rescued by Liu Quan a few years ago. Fortunately, he found the He Sha Qi Shu, and his powers had also made rapid progress. This time, he was specially invited by Yue Qing to come to Wutai Mountain as a guest, and also taught Liu Quan some Daoist techniques. Yue Qing advised him to establish his own sect, but he was disheartened and preferred to be a carefree and independent person. Seeing Yi Xiu this time, they talked about old times and both sighed: "Brother Yi, you and I don't even have a single disciple, after we ascend to immortality in the future, I'm afraid our ancestral Dao will be lost."

  In addition, there were two more people, Fang Ying and Yuan Hao. At the age of 20, they went out to famous mountains and rivers to seek immortality and ask about Taoism. Later, in the old residence of Guang Chengzi in Xikong Mountain, they obtained a Taoist book, which was cultivated into Yuanying. Although it is an earthly immortal cultivation, that Taoist book only had 54 pages of jade and seven chapters of golden abridgment. According to its practice, one can only achieve the position of a divine immortal, so its magical power is far inferior to that of many years of loose immortals.

  Recently, they offended the disciples of Hong Fa Lao Zu from Nanjiang, including Yao Kaijiang, and led a group of experts to make things difficult for them. In half a year, they had dozens of battles, but the two were outnumbered and almost destroyed their bodies in this last battle. Fortunately, Yue Qing calculated their fate in advance and let Xu Fei Niang arrive on time, so Yao Kaijiang did not dare to fight with Xu Fei Niang and retreated with his followers. This led to a good relationship between them. They didn't have a fixed practice cave before, but this time they were invited by Xu Fei Niang to visit Wutai Sect as guests, coincidentally arriving at the opening of Hengshan Sect. Yue Qing advised them to establish Tai Shan Sect, but the two humbly declined, shaking their heads. Yue Qing took out Guang Cheng Zi Tian Shu and promised that if they were willing to practice in Tai Shan and establish a sect, he would invite them to study Yuan Yang Tian Shu together. Fang Xingyuan had not made up his mind yet.

  Jin Zhen Sheng Mu wore a black water robe in the Purple Micro Palace, with a seven-star hairpin. In the Purple Micro Palace, she held a grand ceremony to establish the Hengshan Sect. Her three main disciples, Mi Ming Niang, Lei Qi Long, and Shi Long Gu, came forward to pay their respects first, followed by her three registered disciples, Zuo Xin, Chang He, and Zhao Fu. Jin Zhen Sheng Mu announced the establishment of the Hengshan Sect and ordered someone to read out the sect rules. The Hengshan Sect used the same rules as the Chunyang Sect, which were based on the Wutai Sect's rules: nine heavenly precepts, 108 earthly precepts, and 365 scattered immortal precepts.

  Up to now, Yue Qing's plan to sweep through the Shanxi border has been thoroughly completed. Since his crossing, he has developed vertically in three steps: first, solidifying the Taoist system; second, developing his followers; and third, refining his magical treasures. Now that the foundation of the Tao is stable, his followers are also gradually growing stronger. Horizontally, there are also three steps: first, clearing up the Five Towers; second, clearing up Shanxi; and third, clearing up the North.

  Now that Shi Xian Wang and his wife have agreed to establish a sect on Mount Song, the connection between Mount Song and Mount Tai will be solidified, and the north will be completely stabilized. When the time is right, we can use Maoshan as a stepping stone to take control of Hengshan and Huangshan, and then contain the Emei Sect's power within the Sichuan Basin. If we retreat, we can firmly defend the north, ensuring that our base is not disturbed. The forces of Wutai will be connected like a web, and if Emei dares to come straight for us, the other sects will provide support from all directions, arriving in an instant.

  Yue Qing is currently worried about two things. Firstly, the Yue Shan faction's Si Tai Yu Xiang is leaning towards Emei, which is equivalent to having a nail in the left wing. Therefore, he repeatedly advised Fang Xuan and Yuan Hao to establish the Tai Shan faction, and for now, there is still great hope in this regard. Secondly, regarding the right-wing Hua Shan faction, if Yue Qing wants to head west, he must pass through Hua Shan. Due to their past close relationship, even though they are not currently interacting with each other, it would be inappropriate to take action against them, so he needs to plan carefully.

  After the New Year, Yue Qing gathered Liu Quan, Xu Fei Niang and Deng Ba Gu together in Huang Ji Palace to compile the Hunyuan Xian Jing. From easy to difficult, they started from the lower part, mainly based on Shan Hai Tu Lu, and the four of them supplemented it with Yuan Yang Tian Shu and Yu Dong Da Shen Dan Jing. Even if they didn't take external medicine, they could cultivate to the realm of immortals. This was relatively simple and only took a few months to complete.

  Then there is the Central Taiyi True Explanation, which is quite profound. Fortunately, Yue Qing and Xu Fei Niang have been practicing Taiyi Xuan Gong for a lifetime, so they are the most familiar with this method. They then searched for corresponding flying methods in the Pure Yang Dan Jing and Yuan Yang Tian Shu to supplement it. Then, based on their individual understanding, they revised the middle and lower sections from top to bottom, so that all the techniques could be connected in a single lineage, rather than being a hodgepodge of unrelated things.

  As for the Hunyuan Vice Book, the four of them brought out all the known alchemy and equipment refining secret formulas and recorded them in it. It is divided into two volumes: Tao and Mo. The six true yuan gourds, Tianmo's sword to slay immortals, etc., are all recorded in the second volume, which is sealed and stored in the Taiyi Palace. Only the first volume of the Tao department is passed down through the ages.

  During this period, Shi Xian Wang and his wife founded the Mount Song Sect in Mount Song, while Fang Xing and Yuan Hao established the Mount Tai Sect in Mount Tai.

  The compilation of the Hunyuan Xianjing has come to an end. The disciples of the Yueqing sect invited fellow practitioners from all over to gather at Wutai Mountain. Present were Mingyi Zi, Keyi Zi, Shuiyun Zi and Lingxu Zi of the Chunyang Sect; Wu Li of the Laojun Shan Sect; Liu Bu Xuan and Liu Bu Xu of the Mao Shan Sect; Shi Xian Wang and Shi Xian Mu of the Songshan Sect; Jin Zhen Shengmu of the Hengshan Sect; Fang Xing and Yuan Hao of the Taishan Sect. The seven sects gathered at the Qixing Palace to study the Yuanyang Tian Shu, with Xu Fei Niang presiding over the proceedings. Each day, a different person would take the stage to give lectures, discussing and debating the Daoist teachings, learning from each other's strengths and weaknesses.

  This time, the Seven Star Gathering is a grand event in the Taoist world. The five sects of Chunyang, Laoshan, Songshan, Taishan, and Hengshan were all founded by Yue Qing. From establishing their mountain gates to solidifying their Taoist traditions, Yue Qing has made great contributions. Even helping his own disciples establish their own palaces is nothing compared to this. After the gathering, Yue Qing's authority will be firmly established. With the alliance of the seven sects, the area east of Shanxi and north of the Yangtze River will all fall within the sphere of influence of the Wudang Sect. Although each sect's power is still weak at present, with time, they will surely flourish and grow strong. In just a few more years, Yue Qing will have the strength to rival that of the Emei Sect.

  Yue Qing has two major strategic means to deal with the Emei School. The first strategy is to find a way to gather all the evil demons and external sects together, and then confront the Emei School head-on. This approach has two benefits: firstly, by gathering these evil demons in one place, they will be subject to certain restraints and avoid harming innocent people and causing chaos throughout the land, which is also a great merit; secondly, it avoids the outcome of being defeated one by one like in the original story, where the Emei School's junior disciples were able to break through their levels. This approach can hold back the development of the Emei School, making it unable to deal with the resurgence of the Wutai School, and at the same time, exhaust the Emei School. If they can ultimately perish together, that would be a result that Yue Qing would be delighted to see.

  The second strategy is to strive to develop and expand one's own strength, now among the five alliances, Dixian has more than a dozen people, compared to when Yue Qing first crossed over, it was much better than the situation where they could be wiped out at any time.

  Now that the Taoist lineage is stable, the next step is to recruit more disciples, obtain more magical artifacts, and win over more fellow practitioners.
