Elizabeth

  William's point of view

  I couldn't even react.

When I blinked, a beautiful, immaculate white hand was emerging from my subordinate's back, clutching his heart.

It was Elizabeth's hand, killing a knight with bare hands.

Even faster than it pierced his body, she withdraws her hand, once again without spilling blood.

Strangely, the knight's body, even his armor, remains intact.

  "Weak."

With a movement too fast to follow with my eyes, she throws him, causing the knight to fall backwards on the ground.

  Or it should have been…

Instead of falling with gravity, his body floats in the air, no… falling slowly.

  'I have to do something.'

When I try to move, my feet feel heavy, or rather, slow, as if my body can't keep up with my mind.

Not just me, everyone is like this, except those two.

Slowly, fear takes over me. How am I going to fight if I can't even walk?

What kind of beings are these?! I want to scream, but my mouth doesn't move, as if it's sewn shut.

"The knights of the righteous temple, right? Your armor has changed a little over time."

She calmly places her hand on the head of one of the temple knights.

"But putting more paper on a paper armor won't change much."

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Did she just call it magical metal paper?

  BOOM!

Before the knight can even react, his armor is shattered. It becomes smaller and smaller until it turns to dust.

And while we were incredulous about the situation, his head implodes, assuming a distorted shape.

At that moment, as if a puppet had lost its string, all the knights who were watching the scene fell to the ground, some face-first and others back-first. I was one of those who fell face-first.

'There's no way someone like this is human! What kind of monster is this?!'

  "Shall we play a game?"

She says with a pure smile, as if she doesn't even feel guilty for what she did.

"I will summon a horde of various monsters, and the last one standing will have the honor of becoming my servant."

  "SOMEONE APPRAISE HER!"

Perhaps realizing that we can speak now, Roman orders one of the temple knights with the appraisal ability to find out something about Elizabeth.

  "Appraisal, huh? Very well, appraise."

She orders while posing, displaying her body as if she's posing for a painting.

  "Impossible, we can't win."

A knight says these words while trembling like a newborn deer.

"YOU CAN USE ILLUSION MAGIC, RIGHT?! SHOW HER STATS!"

Roman ignores his subordinate's fear and shouts another order.

Any hope anyone had was destroyed in a few seconds.

HOW ARE WE GOING TO DEFEAT SOMEONE WHO SURPASSED THE DEMON KING?! HOW DO YOU WIN AGAINST SOMETHING THAT KILLS HEROES?

"IMPOSSIBLE! SOMETHING LIKE YOU CAN'T EXIST!"

Roman shouts, Ragnael, who was silent, responds with a voice that frightens children.

"How so? We are here, that's proof enough of our existence."

"THE DEMON KINGS ARE ALWAYS KILLED BY HEROES! THERE'S NO WAY AN EX-DEMON KING EXISTS!"

"Correction: five. And it was thanks to the hero's negligence that we could achieve the divine form, closer to our great father."

'Father? What kind of being has Demon Kings as children?'

"THERE'S NOT EVEN A RECORD OF YOU TWO! NEITHER AS DEMON KINGS OR GODS!"

"That's natural, we kill the heroes after they dare to kill our younger siblings."

  "Enough talk; time for action."

Elizabeth's words make us look around; we are surrounded.
